An absolute shambles from start to…
An absolute shambles from start to finish. Avoid Lemonaid Motor Legal.
I genuinely cannot express how disappointed I am with Lemonaid Motor Legal. Following a non-fault accident on 21 September 2026, I expected a professional claims management company to make an already stressful situation easier. Instead, Lemonaid has managed to turn a relatively straightforward claim into a catalogue of poor communication, incompetence and unnecessary delays.
Physiotherapy: Unprofessional and unacceptable
The physiotherapy experience was appalling. I attended an appointment at their arranged provider in Wembley, where I was spoken to rudely about my booking, made to feel as though I had missed appointments despite it being my first visit, and subjected to questionable hygiene practices. The physiotherapist sneezed without subsequently sanitising and proceeded with a physical assessment without properly explaining what they were doing.
Follow-up information and emails were promised but never materialised. Given that I was recovering from multiple injuries, the complete lack of professionalism was particularly disappointing. I ultimately had to request another provider.
Hire car: A complete failure in customer service
The hire car arrangements were equally frustrating. I was supplied with an entry-level Audi Q3 that lacked the parking assistance features of my own Nissan Qashqai Tekna.
Despite repeatedly explaining that I needed suitable parking assistance for driving and parking in London, I was passed between departments, promised callbacks that never happened and left chasing answers.
I wasn't asking for a luxury vehicle or anything unreasonable. I was perfectly happy with a smaller, cheaper automatic vehicle, provided it had adequate parking assistance.
What made this worse was the complete lack of coordination between Lemonaid and the hire car provider. Nobody appeared willing to take responsibility, and the situation affected my ability to release my own vehicle for repairs.
Bott & Co: Yet another disappointing experience
As if the physiotherapy and hire car problems weren't enough, my experience with Bott & Co on the legal side has only added to the frustration.
The handling of the claim has felt unnecessarily drawn out and disjointed. Rather than receiving reassurance and proactive communication, I have been left questioning what is actually happening and why everything seems to require so much chasing.
Vehicle repairs: Delays, delays and more delays
A month after my accident, I am still dealing with delays and frustration surrounding my vehicle repairs.
The accident was not my fault, yet I seem to be the one bearing the inconvenience, coordinating between parties and pushing for progress.
What exactly is the point of appointing a claims management company if the customer ends up doing the managing?
My overall experience
What makes this particularly disappointing is that these are not isolated incidents. There appears to be a recurring pattern of poor communication, inadequate coordination, missed commitments and a complete lack of accountability across the various services involved in my claim.
Lemonaid should be overseeing these providers, ensuring customers receive a professional service and intervening when things go wrong. Based on my experience, that simply hasn't happened.
I have spent more time chasing, escalating and explaining basic requirements than I ever reasonably expected.
Being involved in a road traffic accident is stressful enough, particularly when you are recovering from injuries. The last thing anyone needs is a claims management company adding to that stress.
I would not recommend Lemonaid Motor Legal to anyone. If this is the standard of service provided to someone involved in a non-fault accident, I would seriously question the value of using them at all.
One star, and only because Trustpilot doesn't allow zero.

We have attempted to contact you to discuss the concerns raised but have unfortunately been unable to reach you. Whilst we are sorry to hear of your dissatisfaction, we would like to provide some clarification regarding the services referenced in your review.
Your personal injury claim, including physiotherapy arrangements, is managed by the panel solicitors appointed under your Legal Expenses Insurance policy. Lemonaid Motor Legal facilitated the appropriate referral; however, the subsequent management of these services and associated communications falls within the remit of your appointed legal representatives. We have also forwarded your concerns regarding these services to the solicitors for investigation as a complaint.
Regarding your replacement vehicle, a vehicle within the appropriate category was initially supplied, equipped with parking sensors. Whilst specific features such as 360-degree cameras are not guaranteed under like-for-like vehicle provision, we made further enquiries with multiple providers in an effort to accommodate your requirements. These enquiries resulted in an alternative vehicle being agreed, accepted and delivered.
We would also like to clarify that the initial progression of your vehicle repairs was dependent upon the alternative hire arrangements being resolved, as you wished to continue using your own vehicle until the replacement was available. Once the alternative vehicle was accepted and delivered, the repair process was able to proceed.
We recognise that the claims process can be frustrating, particularly following an accident. However, our records confirm that appropriate arrangements were made, additional steps were taken to accommodate your requests, and assistance was provided to progress your claim.

Professional Ineptitude
If someone hits your car and you are the injured party, expect a payout below the value of the vehicle and the cost to replace like for like. They are also completely inept at being able to recover associated costs.
My insurance cover was with 1st Central, who passed my claim on to this lot, so steer clear of both 1st Central AND Lemonaid Legal!

Helpful and sympathetic.
I found the initial call handler, Lizzie Hewitt, to very polite, friendly and a pleasure to deal with. As well as being sympathetic she was very helpful.
Unfortunately the transfer to Highway Insurance was not so smooth as they were extremely slow answering the call.

Highly unprofessional and a waste of time.
The person I spoke to on the phone, Beckie, sounded super helpful. However, she asked so many questions that I began to wonder who I was actually dealing with. I just had a chip on my windscreen. Eventually, she said she was going to find out who my insurer was. I told her the insurance company and the policy number.
She said that she was going to call the repairer and transfer all of my details so that I wouldn't have to give them again. However, when I was put through, the person said that they had simply told them it was a windscreen repair and left it at that. I had to go through everything again (only they actually needed fewer details...).
Whilst I was still on the phone to the repairer, I got a text from Lemonaid saying that they had closed the file. I then got an email asking for a review, but there were no links even though they said they were - which tells me they knew they had done a bad job.
Whilst I was on the phone to Beckie, I could hear her colleagues messing around in the background. Highly unprofessional and a waste of time.

Having reviewed the call, we can confirm that Beckie explained who Lemonaid Motor Legal is and who we were acting on behalf of on two occasions. As part of receiving a new claim, we are required to obtain the full claim details, although we appreciate the frustration of then having to repeat some information when the windscreen provider did not require the details we had gathered and instead asked for your call to be transferred straight through. This has been addressed with your windscreen provider.
We have also noted your comments regarding background noise and listened to the call recording as part of our investigation. As our team operates within a contact centre environment, some general background conversation may occasionally be audible during calls. On this occasion, we were unable to identify any unprofessional conduct during the call.
Finally, the review links were included within the email, embedded within the relevant review platform images. We actively welcome all customer feedback, positive or negative, and would never seek to prevent a customer from sharing their experience.
