Really easy to set up the will
Really easy to set up the will. Reasonable cost. Had features that were available that weren't available in the free will kits. So this made it worth the money to me.

I liked that I could do it in my own home. The questions were straight forward. Explanations were easy to understand. Cost was reasonable.
The section about residual inheritance if both my beneficiaries die and who would be a backup beneficiary was confusing to me. I was afraid I would make a mistake and that person would get the inheritance instead of my own kids.

The wording in the LegalWills needs to be easier to understand so that it's 100% clear
I found the questions to sometimes be a bit confusing, they should be clear, concise and extremely explanatory. Majority of us are not affluent in legalese.
Especially when it came to how to divide my belongings and assets if both my husband and my son die, i.e. Section c. It was a bit foggy as to the explanation, so I actually at one point wasn't sure if I was doing it correctly.
Trying to access my list of benefactors was sometimes difficult. It would only bring up three names in some sections, and none of them were relevant for a particular section I was working in.
I had to ask Chat or figure it out myself.
I also found there wasn't any space or area to type in/add my own notes. This is very important in Wills, so that the person can personalize and make important notes for the Executors and lawyer. I was very unhappy with the lack of this feature. The LegalWills document is not user-friendly in my opinion. I am happy to have done it, so that I at least have a current Will, it just should be more user-friendly and more thorough with space allotted for personal notes. Otherwise, it's an impersonal Will.

Clear, plain-language guidance is something we work on continuously, and we'll pass your comments to our product team for review.
Regarding personal notes: a Will itself is a formal legal document and doesn't include free-text sections, which is why you can attach a Memorandum. This is a separate document kept alongside your Will where you can add personal notes, instructions for your executors, or details about specific gifts.

It was relatively straight forward. Help was provided along side a question for the most part.
The one problem was that I could not choose to divide the inheritance of one daughter (if she predeceaced me) among more than just her son.

FYI basic option
When completing the forms ,the will, poa, funeral arrangements only the will was downloaded, you wanted extra for poa and funeral. I chose the basic package but no where in the instructions or description that only the will was included.... why would you let individuals fill out all the forms and only have a third of the paperwork accessible.

To clarify what happened: the Essentials package covers the Will only. The Power of Attorney and Funeral Preferences documents you started are separate products included with the Premium and Ultimate packages. While filling out the Will you were able to try them out on a trial basis and preview the first page, but full access to those documents requires one of the higher-tier packages or an upgrade to include these additional services.

A little disappointed with my experience
I purchased the Will and Power of Attorney service believing that the fee would include the preparation and notarization or legal execution of the documents.
I was a little surprised to find that the service mainly provided templates that I needed to complete myself. I had expected a more complete service, so this was not quite what I understood I was purchasing.
The templates may be useful, but I feel the service and what is included in the fee could be explained more clearly before purchase.
Hopefully, this feedback will help improve the experience for future customers.

Our platform is a guided document preparation service. You answer a series of step-by-step questions, and the service generates personalized legal documents built from your answers, so the finished documents are customized to your situation, not blank templates. That's also what allows us to offer this at such an affordable price.
Regarding notarization and legal execution, signing requirements vary by jurisdiction, and these steps are separate from document preparation. Commissioning documents typically involves an affidavit that must be signed before someone authorized to commission documents (eg: a notary, lawyer, or commissioner) and that professional service carries its own cost. At the price point of our packages, it simply wouldn't be possible to include those professional fees as well. That said, we do offer optional services to help, such as our partnership with NotaryPro for customers who want their documents notarized or their Affidavit of Execution commissioned.
We're also genuinely curious about what led to this expectation, as we don't advertise that notarization or legal execution is included anywhere on our site or in our materials.
