We had the property on the market for over a year and the Agents representative Katie was very professional but sadly we had very few leads. Once she left the Manager of the Portsmouth Gunwharf Quays branch, a Mr Humphrys was totally dis-interested in any form of communication. He ignored emails and behaved total un-professionally.
We decided to serve 28 days notice to which we never received an acknowledgement and even when we complained to their so called Head Office it was just another circus, they never came back!!
I would never deal with this company again, they are rather useless.
This is Leaders in the Gunwharf Quays Waterfront not London Road.

Leaders Portsmouth helped us to find our dream house, we could not be happier. Joe made the whole process so easy and stress free, we cannot thank him enough!

Quite dependable and has a wide coverage in various parts of UK, although these branches are a bit disjointed in terms of operations, and systems are somewhat different. Lately you have changed the payment systems and several tenants seem to be getting doffing payment references. Please rectify this confusion for the time being.

Rented a property for a year. When it came to moving out, we paid £75 for a professional cleaner. We were still charged £120 for cleaning fees. They said the floor needed mopping and the carpets needed professionally cleaning (didn’t state this in our contract). Asked for receipt evidence to which we were given a random email QUOTE. We disputed the claim but due to Leaders using a dispute service which they pay a subscription service for, it was obviously bias to them and it was found that we had to pay £100 plus another £100 for disputing, even though this should be free!!!!!!!! They were going to find something to charge us for no matter what we did. I would avoid at all cost. Just a money grabbing company, taking advantage of hard working people

I write as a landlord. My flats needed refurbishing. Leaders identified an excellent contractor and managed the project tirelessly and at pace. They managed all the electricity switch overs seamlessly and I know that can be very time consuming. All the flats are now let right on time. The paperwork has been efficiently managed too. A very professional set up that I can rely on. Thanks Annie and the team

Great service, from viewing to completion. Very patient agents- no question is too stupid, and nothing is too much trouble for them to help. Joe Mayle was absolutely fantastic. From first looking at the house I wanted to rent, to moving in within three weeks (amazing). Cannot recommend highly enough.

Absolutely awful. Misleading information after misleading information after, you guessed it. MISLEADING INFORMATION.

Was told by Let Alliance (referencing agent that Leaders use) that proof of payment of my CCJ being cleared and a guarantor of £22k would suffice for renting checks to be approved.

No rent arrears, debts are clearing up, glowing references from current landlord (lived here 4 years and 6 months) my partner has nothing outstanding, we have a combined salary of £58k per year. Cannot let any properties because of leaders OWN policies.

A guarantor would be needed for the WHOLE rent. Not just my part. Although my partner has nothing outstanding. Ever. Minimum income of £42k per year!!!!!!!!!! For just one person!!!!!!!!!

They make you jump through hoops and bounds to be told misinformation from all members of their team. To then be corrected and apologised to.

Down £1800 with no house in sight.

Only offering 50% of the rent deposit back.

Absolutely ludicrous, money grabbing and false.

DO NOT RENT WITH THESE PEOPLE.

Although Sarah had difficulty finding a tenant for the property she and Joe persevered and, after a rent drop, were successful. Meanwhile they they kept me well informed. However, the then transfer of responsibility for producing a Tenancy Agreement to a different part of Leaders is probably more convenient for the company than it is for its clients.

I have been a landlord with Leaders for 20 years, I would like to say that my Property Manager, Yvonne,has been excellent keeping me updated getting work projects sorted I cant fault her plus she has a friendly professional manner, and she has kept me sane through through the bad times.

The way my renting application was handled was very poor. The company failed to send through paperwork they were meant to send to my "to be" Guarantor. After about one week, I was then suddenly given less than 24hrs notice to provide them with details from the Guarantor (whether it was something they could do for me), yet this person hadn't even had any contact from Leaders despite them saying they'd provide them with all the details (I had given contact details).
They were rude, Condescending and completely ignored me telling them the paperwork wasn't sent and instead, told me I'd "failed" to give information so had lost my deposit. Definitely don't recommend this company.

Our first time renting a property though a letting agent. Sarah made the process very easy and straightforward and was always available to contact by phone for help if needed. My only criticism is the amount of emails to sort different parts of the tenancy out. It would be better to do everything on 1 form for both tenants instead of filling several out each. That is no reflection on the service provided by Sarah as she was very professional and polite when we viewed the property even though we had already accepted after viewing the virtual tour. Finding good tenants is one of the most important factors for every landlord. The marketing and tenant find team at Leaders Portsmouth branch are certainly proving to be efficient in this field. Now headed up by Annie Savage, supported by Rob Comerford, they are building a good reputation with their local landlords, providing a personal and professional service.

Complicit with the landlord in making us homeless. They literally do not care about tenants.

Worst letting agent ever.
You'll find most of the nice reviews come from the sales team, so dont be fooled.

If you are looking to rent avoid due to property management!

Property management for leaders northend are an absolute disgrace so much so when I left my landlord decided to move to cubic and west as he was fed
up too. Just shows there is a real issue there and no one seems to address it.

Countless of calls and promises that my property manager would call back but these never happened. My emails almost never replied to and when I did receive a reply it would be 2 months late.

I had 3 property managers and was never told when they switched around, which made reaching them even worse.

2 to 3 months it was raining in the bathroom... there was no urgency from leaders to fix it and I had to chase them up countless of times with no resolution on sight.

They simply do not care about you.

Avoid at all costs.

Glad I left and do not have to deal with them ever again.
