Great surfers deliver and pickup cars without delays or trouble. Cars have ranged from standard to excellent condition, never bad. We highly recommend!

Never use this company. Never under any circumstances. I have never had a worse experience. Not only do they charge $25 for delivery to the airport and for each reschedule, they do not deliver the car to the airport; you need to drive at least 20-25 minutes to get it. But that's not all, while you're trying to get to the car with a bunch of bags and your family, the driver who delivers the car leaves and they charge you another $25 for not picking up the car on time. When you ask them to return the money, they credit it to your balance for other trips and to get the money back you will have to call your credit card to open a dispute. This is real fraud.

Convenient and affordable way to get a rental car. They even deliver them to your door!

Way too expensive and the person dropping it off was late

I would have given 0 if I could. I had rented a car for a day, rates were good, and I added an 'insurance' from them. Unfortunately, while driving on the service road of Long Island Expressway (NY), some metal scrap cut through my tire, so I barely escaped the accident. From there the fun begun: the KYTE rep, whom I called informed me that my insurance doesn't cover anything, and he will send me paperwork to fill in so they can release my deposit. That was all he cared about. All the rest I had to figure out on my own, to call tow truck, to pay for their service, etc... So after I somehow 'limped' to the nearest gas station to change the tire to the spare, and returned the car, the only time they contacted me is for asking for tipping the rep. 2 months later, after several emails to their customer service, I got the bill: not only they took $300 deposit, but they added some bs $59 'administration' fee on top of it, which I had to pay. So that 1 day rental cost me $500 plus gas. Mind you, i had checked online, and MAVIS had that tire for under $150.
Don't fall for cheap rentals.

Kyte was a really good car rental a few years ago. Now it’s just bad and complicated. I told them I want to pick up the car at the airport, but they forced me to go to a random place in LA. Had to spend so much money to get there and no help at all! After I booked a car they wanted a deposit for the car thats already paid! Never again!

My first experience renting from Kyte in Denver was fun! I got the car at rhe Denver train station, met the owner and was on my way. No issues. Thought it was an I teresti g business model, and I saved money and “gave” money to an individual.
My second experience was flawed. There is now a station at the airport. All info is communicated via email, and the app was kinda useless getting us to the platform to get the bus. There was NO signage in the covered parking lot- but the bus driver directed us. Met the attendant who pointed to the car.
Returning the car was time consuming. Apparently I got an email with all the info to return the car. I missed it and tried to get the info on the app- again useless. I finally figured it out after using the chat- which was helpful- and a real person.
The worst were the fees. I never saw an itemized account before they charged me. They now charge you an unlimited miles fee of 30$ per day, basically doubling the rental fee. There were other charges too- making my rental about $100 a day for 2.5 days- I could have gone to A mainstream place with fewer hassles!

If I could, I would give this company a 0 star. I had a terrible experience with them back in October. After finishing my trip and while waiting for my surfer to come and pick up the car, a car slightly crashed the back of my rental. I reported this to Kyte and they withheld $500 pending resolution of the issue. After 6 months, I still not have my money back, they have totally hid their head in the sand and, even if the other driver's insurance carrier determined that I was not at fault, they have refused to refund me. Terrible experience. Please stay away!!!

Why own a car in the city when you can just book a Kyte when you actually need a car? No more finding parking, moving your car for street sweeping day, parking tickets, oil changes, car and insurance payments, digging your car out of the snow etc.

This is our go to car replacement in SF and we use Kyte when we travel to see family in Chicago.

Living in NYC, I don't have a real need to own a car but sometimes I need a vehicle that an Uber/Lyft wouldn't be ideal for. The issue is I dislike the car rental process. Waiting on long lines, being sold on different products, I just want a car and move on with my day.

Kyte does that! They'll deliver and pickup the vehicle from where you are. The rental experience is all through the app! Car is new and clean up on delivery. Kyte will definitely be my go to rental company moving forward.

I use Kyte every time I take a long trip. It's so convenient to have the car delivered right at my door when I want it so I can load up and head out and when I'm done the car magically dissappears! The drivers are friendly and professional and the cars are always newer and super clean! Makes my trips soooo hassle free! My go to every time!

I rented with Kyte in San Francisco in December 2023. It was easy to sign up, get verified and place a booking. The car was delivered to the address I wanted and picked up from another address that I chose. It was a good experience and I recommend Kyte to everyone looking for a rental car!

Totally gamechanging car rental experience -- car came to me, no lines, no paperwork. Clean new car and super friendly delivery driver. Picked up at the end when I was done. Can't recommend highly enough.

It's incredibly convenient. I've used this service twice in New York already. The first time, I had the car delivered to me and the Surfer was very kind. The second time, I chose to pick up the car at the lot. Because everything was set up in the app, I was able to get the car within a couple of minutes. The car was new and clean. What a great experience!

I've rented from Kyte several times in Manhattan and once in LA at the airport. The cars have always been almost brand new and clean. It's a great service for NYers. Getting the car delivered right to my apartment and picked up is such a game-changer. I never used to rent cars or leave the City but Kyte makes it so easy that I've started to explore a lot more.

I love Kyte - I used them over 10 times in the past year. It's super convenient as they deliver the car to you and also pick it up so you don't have to wait in a long line. Their cars are brand new and in a great condition. Can't recommend them enough!
