LOVED my advent calender from this store. I also ordered some extra bits which have all been lovely quality too. I would absolutely order from here again, and will be finding it hard to resist the sub boxes they offer...

Communication from the owner has been really clear and thorough.

I have buy the 24day Ghibli-Adventcalender. It had some shipping problems but the owner of the shop Raff always answerd really fast if I have some question. The shipping problems weren't his fault because some of the Iteams came from Japan. After I got the calender I was so excited and opened it. The stuff in the calender is amazing and i have only one word for my feelings: WOW! Very high quality, beautiful selfmade stuff and a lot of love is in the calender. I would recommend the calender to other Ghibli Fans!
I'm excited to open the last three days and it is a perfect christmas gift!

I ordered from Kinda Kawaii for the first time because of the beautiful advent calendar from Sanrio. This was suggested to me by chance on Instagram, for which I am sooo grateful 🙏🏼🙏🏼 The calendar was put together with a lot of love. The items all look very high quality and the Sanrio characters change daily. From soft toys and figurines to beautiful glass ornaments, everything is included.

The packaging of the calendar alone is simply a love of detail 🫶🏻

The customer service is also sweet as sugar and tries so hard to please its customers.

I will definitely be ordering there more often in future, at the latest for the next advent calendar 🥰🥹

It was my first time buying something from this shop. At first i chose the Sanrio calendar and ordered one but as soon as i tool my order i saw the ghibli version. I quickly asked if we could change my order and got an immediate reply and my order was changed. Despite some difficulties with the shipment due to problems, i received my calendar in absolut stunning condition. Here and there may be some issues with some gifts but these are so minimal that they don’t matter. The Quality of the gifts is amazing and absolutely worth the price. I had so much fun opening it and i would absolutely order again at this shop.

Surely the few minimal issues and the shipping problems cost a star for this review but these are absolute normal issues which can happen and don’t affect the whole experience and product.

I ordered the 24 days Ghibli Advent Calendar a while ago and it indeed came a little late on December, BUT:
Firstly the calendar is absolutely amazing, best one I got so far, beautiful and qualitative.
The items are so cute, innovative and useful. I love Ghibli merch and let me tell you this is beautiful.
I know a lot of people were disappointed they received it late, and were also mean to the creator, and honestly it is not fair. We had communication and they apologised many many time and explained exactly why the calendars were late.
Ok we waited and didn’t get it for the beginning of December, but fairly it is worth the wait, I am really happy I purchased it and will buy again from KindaKawaii!

I hope we will have other wonderful things from this store!

Edit 22.12.2024: So I git a very nice and personal email from the companyowner/founder today, with a heartfelt excuse and explaining all his difficuties. (Like 1-man business, too many emails to cope with, extracosts, a lot of cancellations and that he almost had to shut down his business.) I have to say, this makes me feel very sorry/sad for him and I am gonna add two more stars to my review now, BUT: I am also a 1 woman business, with money problems and all that, but still I handle those kind of situations different. But as I always want to support small business owners like myself, I feel like giving 4 stars now is the appropriate thing to do. And the caledar ist absolutely dope, no doubt about that.
This was a frustrating experinece, although the items in the calendar and the calendar itself is absolutely the best experience ever. But I strongly feel a massive disappointment how everything was handeled. The Advent Calendar arrived TODAY (21.12.2024) Useless to say, that a calendar that arrives 3 days prior to christmas is kind of a bad joke. Especially, when you perordered it in September for your child who is a huge Gibli fan. What I do miss here is the communication. I asked by the middle of November, when the calendar will arrive and was then informed, that due to a cyclone the calendar will arrive ane week later than expected. Yes, a cyclone somewhere in the delivery chane is nobodys fault. But I do not get informed, I have to run after this information, leaving me with nearly no chance to replace it? Yes, I was offered a cacellation of my order and to get my money back. But I thought: one week later - I can explain this to my son. In fact the calendar arrived today and I couldn´t get a hold of somebody on Kinda Kawaiis side - my emails asking about the calendar stayed unresponded. Yes I got a tracking number, that showed no movement for weeks and all I got was a roundmail with no solid information. Funnyly I ordered some Lotterie things from Kinda Kawaii, to fill the void for my son - they all arrived earlier than the calendar, and within 10 days, after I ordered them. So I feel kind of "outsmarted" here and I am not happy how this situatin was handeled by Kinda Kawaii. At the end the calendar costed me over 180 Euro, including the shipping and the additional taxes I ahd to pay for getting it to germany. And it arrived TODAY. That is disappointing, and yet no sorry or reply to my emails from last week. I am giving only 2 stars here - not because the calendar is not wonderful, it absolutely is the best thing for a Ghibly Fan. But if I would treat my customers that way, I would loose them. It is your responsibilty how to handle things that got wrong, not the clients responsibility. This whole story made my christmastime as a single mom to a worry-time, and I feel not treated well. And I say it again: Giving two stars for a wonderful, thoughtful and special calendar feels wrong, but it costed me a lot of nerves, money and worst of all: I had to cheer up a sad kid constantly. And no - receiving the calendar 3 days prior christmas even though it is wonderful, does not make up for the past 3 weeks :-(

Order for an item was made on the 17th of November for a Christmas Stocking. It was sold as being shipped with '48 hour Royal Mail Delivery'. It is now the 20th of December, and it isn't even in the correct country, and alternative gifts have had to be sourced because of this quite frankly disgusting delay. Zero communication (not even an email stating there would be a delay, and an option to cancel), and seeing the combative nature of the 'business' owner on here responding to these reviews, I can see it's not an isolated case, and zero responsibility will be taken from their end. Avoid this company like a plague, especially if you are trying get a gift for someone. And before you offer the same response claiming the 1 star reviews are 'picking on small businesses', if those small businesses aren't capable of meeting promises without communication, or at least ensuring Christmas themed gifts are with paying customers before Christmas, you're not fit for purpose.

Next time update your paying customers, and treat them with basic respect.

The advent calendar arrived on the 20th of December, which now means it has been set aside for next year. Not a catastrophe by any means, but what is astounding to me is the completely unprofessional and very public handling of customer complaints by the shop owner. Every single one of us has had setbacks in their work-life that they weren't completely responsible for, because no man is an island etc pp. I empathize with how frustrating that can be. But what you don't do is point the finger to the next weakest link down the line and write drawn out emails about your emotional state to your customers.
You own up, you apologize, you don't place the blame elsewhere even if it might make you grind your teeth. The replies to rightful customer complaints here also read like the tantrums of the five year olds I work with. I'm sure I have one of my own coming for this review.

I made an order back in early October for a mystery stocking and didn’t hear anything about it regarding shipping, updates etc. I understand that it’s a busy time right now but I expected to hear something.
I attempted to get in contact and didn’t hear back. I again got in contact recently and no response but suddenly had an email with a shipment order / tracking which is of course positive.

It’s quite disappointing to purchase something so far in advance and not hear anything or get it in time for what it was purchased for. My review could’ve been avoided with communication of the situation but I just feel left in the dark about what is happening. I’m not sure if my order was just forgotten? It would’ve been ok if they let me know, but I ordered over two months ago now and still have heard nothing.

The advent calendar is a 12/10. The calendar and the items have such a great quality. I am very happy. Also the support from Raff was so good. I could ask anything and he even looked things up for me. I would definitely buy again and recommend the owner, the shop and the products! 🫶🏻

Ok, the calendar was a little late, and that can understandably be frustrating. But, when this thing showed up, it was well worth the wait. I understand now that they were not lying when they said there were delays due to quality and such. Every single item is top quality, beautiful craftsmanship on every one I’ve opened so far. With the quality I received, I would do this again and again even if it was late.

This is a high quality item with excellent quality gifts in each box. I was thoroughly impressed with the box it came in - you can tell no expenses were spared. More importantly, my teenage / adult children are wowed by the Ghilbi trinkets and how well made and unique they are. Debating who gets to keep what. Very creative an cool

Amazing 24 Day advent calendar. Despite the major issues with delivery which were not the makers fault the advent arrived in beautiful condition. I felt that we were notified by the vendor of the issues and given information when we asked for it. Looking forward to next years advent! Thank you

This is the most thoughtful and beautiful collection of Studio Ghibli memorabilia items!!!! We are very appreciative of the care taken in quality of items, and a great mix of items from functional to decorative to wearables. There is no cheap junk in any of the days- it's all fantastic quality. I opened all 12 days when it was delivered so I knew what my daughter would be getting (I had bought it on Instagram and so I was a little skeptical) Well done!
There was a shipping delay but this was 100% worth the wait. Supporting small business is important to me so it was a small inconvenience.

Seeing an ad on instagram made me cautious of purchasing this advent calendar as I have had trouble in the past with another small business and issues with shipping. After some debate, I did decide to purchase and despite the delay in shipping with this company, I can pleasantly say that the product is amazing and was worth the wait. The quality of the box itself is something to be saved and I will be reusing, along with the quality of the items are higher quality for any advent calendar I've ever purchased. There are not just stickers and paper images/ cheap pins, but high quality items that include materials such as leather, glass, and many more. The owner communicated thoroughly about the issues with shipping and expressed their own frustration with the delay which speaks volumes for the company's customer service. I will be purchasing again and look forward to supporting such a great business!

Bought a Studio Ghibli advent calendar from here, unfortunately delivery was delayed due to production issues, but when it did arrive the standard and quality of the item was incredible. The calendar itself is beautifully crafted and will be good for years of use, and the daily items were so intricate, beautifully made and really special. A million times better than any other calendar of this type and more than I even expected.

Updates came readily on delivery and it was more than worth the wait.

I pre-ordered this calendar back in September and it was worth EVERY SECOND of waiting. We received it yesterday and my kids wasted no time catching up. Each drawer was better than the last and a total "AWE!!!" moment. My kids love Studio Ghibli so I was a bit nervous the calendar would have items they either have already or have seen and that has not happened yet! Every item is so clever and unique and really high quality - not to mention the box is gorgeous!
And yes, it was delayed and yes, it was a bit disappointing, but the creator was in near constant contact with updates and kept us informed of the challenges he was facing. Apparently, this was the first year some vendors were used to source items so there were some snafus that will be fixed for next year. I will let you know as I will DEFINITELY be ordering again!! And I've read some of these reviews and OOF... if this delay was enough to ruin your holiday, please look inward and try to be kinder. We are all just one mistake, accident or decision away from being what we criticize. Thank you for an amazing product!!

High quality product. Arrived with all pieces and everything is beautiful. I’m changing my initial negative review because of the quality of what we received. It was worth the price. Receiving an advent calendar on the 17th of December isn’t great and I still feel like a price reduction should have been given and the owner could have been more respectful in talking with clients that did not receive their products in a timely manner. Especially because this is a very time sensitive item.

But I will give credit to the business for an excellent product.

So, first up, yes - there was a delay with the shipment of the advent calendar and it didn't arrive until a little way into December BUT I received fairly comprehensive emails explaining the issue (a shipping issue on one of the components) and providing details of when to expect delivery, which were accurate to the day.

That aside, I think the Studio Ghibli Advent Calendar is quite possibly the best thing I have ever bought myself!! The actual calendar itself is a thing of beauty and the contents (thus far) have all been amazing. Jewellery, trinkets, decorations...it is all gorgeous and I am 100% in love with the lot! Even with the delay, it has been worth every single penny.

I have to say the Sanrio Advent calendar is simply amazing. We've never had such a great calendar and we live in Germany where everything revolves around Advent calendars.
The price was also great, as the individual pieces have all been of very high quality. A blind box alone costs €18 in our local shops. What is also important is that the costumer service reply to every message and email. No matter what it is about, sooner or later you get in touch and they’ll answer all questions as best as they can. Even though the calendar arrived late, we hope for many more calendars and will always be happy to buy them.
