Missing items and terrible flavor
I decided to try them because they had a special, so I ordered 10 meals. I am a disabled senior, and cannot do much cooking. When the meals arrived, there were only seven in the box. I contacted them, and they offered me credit for three meals on my next order? I have yet to hear back, as I told them I am not making another order. The two meals that I tried were very bland, and the zucchini was extremely rubbery and an edible. The vegan sausage was absolutely gross. I’m going to stick with FACTOR meal delivery, their food is tasty and I always get the correct order.

They will not let you cancel the meal plan ( they make you pay for the plan you signed up for even though you change your mind) you can cancel but they screw out of the 1st meal order!
They also say 50%off first order, not so! They lie!
Forkful Meals Gets Zero Stars
If I could give zero stars, I would. I called to let them know my order had not delivered. I was informed it would be delivered after 10:00pm. To me, that is the middle of the night. Yes I am old. I also am gainfully employed as a busy executive who hits the ground running at 4:00am. These snots had the audacity to suggest I get a neighbor to stay up and retrieve the package — in the middle of the night! Yeah, here in rural Texas, that there is a solid suggestion LOL. NOT. So I stayed up and waited for the delivery which their third-rate carrier dumped at the end of my driveway. So I’m old and tired and schlepping down my driveway to drag this box to the house. In the middle of the night. In my underwear. Precious. Imagine my delight then, to open the box and find it melted, wet, and WARM to the point that eating it seems a risky and potentially unpleasant weight loss strategy. 3 contacts with customer service and all have been met with complete apathy. Let me be clear: THEY COULD POTENTIALLY HAVE SENT ME PRODUCT THAT COULD MAKE ME SICK AND THEY DO NOT CARE! Why are they licensed to sell food?!?!

I never hardly write reviews. If I do, they are good.
But this is another level of bad that needs to be addressed severely.
I got on their site to try them. They were advertised on Fb.
So I checked out their menu first and I saw all these cool options.
Before you choose your meals you have to pay upfront.
Since I could allegedly see what they were offering it gave me peace of mind.
I put in my info and started choosing meals.
The meals suddenly changed.
They were not the same menu items listed and are absolute garbage.
Half the items they offered were vegan, snacks, breakfast items and up-charged premium meals.
Unbelievable.
Not to mention the website was having issues and it took forever to choose anything. It glitches out and does some strange things I can’t explain making it hard to choose options.
I called customer service for hours.
No answer. Not even a ring.
Finally I was able to leave a msg.
Nobody returned my call. That was at 0800. It is now almost 4 pm. No return call.
So I called again three times and finally a woman answers, sounds like she’s from India, and she sounds like she’s outside in the wind moving stuff around.
Wind is literally blowing hard into the phone.
There is banging and clanking and extremely loud noise on her end.
It was killing my ears. I’m in my own home, perfect signal, no noise in the background.
So I begin to explain the situation and tell her I do not want these meals, they are falsely advertising things they are not offering.
I also said I’ve been calling for hours and have not been able to reach anybody until now.
She interrupts me and has the hilarious audacity to tell me, “I’m cutting out and that MY connection is bad.”
And then takes a jab at me upfront and states that “maybe” the reason I couldn’t reach anybody is bc of my bad connection! Lmbo! I kid you NOT.
She said that per the agreement that I should have read over, that there are no refunds.
She was extremely rude and empty.
I told her to escalate my account up (yea, now I know this won’t go anywhere of course bc this place is a scam and they have it set up to take your money one time bc they know you aren’t coming back: so of course there are no refunds bc they would not make a DIME, that’s why they give out garbage meals) and that she needs to work on her customer service skills and to have a wonderful day.
Boy that made her angry. lol
The TRUTH hurts. This world is becoming a shit hole of Godless, empty, non caring zombies walking around!

Hands down horrible customer service
Hands down horrible customer service. Attempted to cancel my account and kept being redirected to suspend my account instead. Reached out to customer service a month ago about this and they did not cancel my account. Received a $200 charge today on my card from them and have literally been going back-and-forth with them for over two hours via email and the phone and I’m getting nowhere. They refuse to refund the money or take responsibility for it. Do not waste your money.
Delicious low carb meals I was looking for!
I was using Green Chef for over a year but they discontinued their keto meals. Also, they really didn’t have low carb meals. I have been on a ketogenic natural diet since 2015 and lost 35 lbs. I saw Forkful has keto meals and ordered some for my husband and me. They are delicious and taste like homemade in my kitchen! They are also very low carb which I wanted. They definitely fit in my ketogenic lifestyle and are delicious. We do not eat fast food and go out to eat fine dining every Saturday. We know good food. I was so happy to find Forkful. Also, they were cold with several large ice packs. I believe a lot of these negative reviews are fake. Please don’t stop your keto meals.

The one star is only for the food. I actually like it. Other than that, this company suck. Can’t wait until you’re out of business so you can learn a hard fact of life. Customer service is the active retention of customers.

HORRIBLE! I was charged $50.76 for an order I never placed! Now they refuse to refund me claiming it’s policy. There is nothing on their menu or meal plan options that my picky kids will eat. I was just trying to see what the food options were to see if my kids would eat any of it. I’ve been charged and when on the phone with a nice lady from customer service who tried to help, the call was surprisingly disconnected. She said she could put a ticket in for a manager to see if I could get refunded but, the call was disconnected and I never found out if it was done or not. Called back and got a voicemail, left a message. This is insane! Shouldn’t be charged prior to placing an order. Especially refusing refunds for people who don’t actually place an order. I really just want my $50.76 back!
I feel like I've been scammed
They are terrible, apparently when you add meals to your selection they just charge you with out asking. I selected six meals and they just went ahead and charged me 85 dollars from an introduction price of 30 dollars. As I was switching meals around they charged my card without letting me confirm. Customer support keeps telling me I'm confused.... But the reviews are the same complaint as mine. Bad business if you ask me.
It's like Denny's but worse
It's like Denny's but worse. Denny's knows how to season their food. Beware of the allergy lies on the box. Being allergic to gluten and 99% of what they sent I couldn't eat. Oh and get this they don't know what it is. On the package that has pasta it says allergic is dairy, but in the ingredients there is wheat.🤔 Anyways I dodged a bullet on that. Pasta sauce tastes like red water. This makes my lunch at school when I was a kid look like gormet. Maybe I'll freeze it and use it as MRE's. Nasty. And how come every single meal cooks the same way 2 minutes in the microwave and sit for 2 minutes? Money waste.
No Email Communication to Edit upcoming deliveries
They sent NO email reminders to edit my upcoming delivery and just charge my credit card with no email receipt. If you travel, you better set a calendar reminder. Cookunity sends a couple of reminders and thier food is great! I will never order from here again, Waste of money for low quality meals!

Customer service is dreadful
Customer service is dreadful! I signed up under a .50% off first order and and was charged full price. I emailed and called. No return call for 24 hours. When I called again, billing could not cancel my order and refund even though order cutoff was not for 3 more days. I’m sticking with Cook Unity.
Feels Like a Scam – Avoid
Be warned: as soon as you enter your card details, the order is placed and you can’t cancel.
Absolutely shocking customer experience. They take your money first and only then show you the delivery date—and if that date doesn’t work for you, tough luck.
I honestly can’t believe a customer journey this scammy and misleading still exists today.
Charged After Cancelling — Stay Away
I signed up for Forkful through a Venmo promotion offering 60% off, but was unable to see meal options or pricing until after entering my credit card information. Once signed up, I discovered that adding "premium items" to my cart was irreversible — there was no way to remove them, resulting in unexpected fees per meal.
After realizing this, I cancelled my subscription immediately — 8 days before my first scheduled shipment. Despite this, Forkful charged my card and shipped the order anyway. When I contacted support, I was told that all charges are non-refundable, regardless of when you cancel. Essentially, if they process your charge more than 5 days before your next order, you're stuck paying for it no matter what.
The combination of hidden pricing, a manipulative cart design, and a no-refund policy that ignores cancellations makes this one of the most deceptive subscription services I've encountered. Avoid.
Very Good Meals & Service
I received a coupon for Forkful when I bought a new computer and decided to try it. Forkful, as it is called on their website, is a meal delivery service in which the meals are delivered fresh, not frozen, and completely cooked and ready to re-heat either in the oven or microwave. I have placed 3 orders and the food is very flavorful and of really good quality so far. Some of my meals were even large enough to split into two smaller meals, which makes them a good value for the money.
The customer service via telephone has been good and they even called me back when they didn't answer. I researched this business and it is actually very new, having just started doing business as of August 2025!
Based on the other reviews here, I think they've had their fair share of "newbie" hiccups, but I think they must be improving. All of my 20 meals except one were exactly what I ordered. I researched possible reasons for substitutions, and sometimes a region will run out of certain entrees or ingredients. In that case, Forkful will send a meal that closely matches what you ordered. This was the case for me and the substitute meal used the same ingredients and was perfectly acceptable to me.
I went ahead and put my meals in the freezer upon receiving them because I bought more than I could eat in a few days. They have all tasted great heated from frozen in my microwave. I just heat them a couple of minutes longer. I just wanted to mention that.
To view their menu items before you sign up, just select the 'On the Menu' tab at the top of their home page. If you place an order, make sure you click the 'Skip' on button for the coming weeks. That way you can eat your first order before making subsequent orders! Try just ordering the 6-meal plan so you are not investing a lot of money at initially.
The 50% off my first order was well worth it. If you have any problems with your on-line experience, just call the number and the reps will help solve your issue! That's been my experience thus far. I'm glad I gave them a try because I haven't been disappointed.
