Bomb-proof packaging!
Helpful advice leading to a successful purchasing experience. High quality shades. Superb packaging. The very large sized box proved essential as it took a couple of puncture hits in transit - but the glassware arrived unscathed. Full marks to JMC!

Was looking for a replacement glass chimney for a antique wall light. Google kept directing me to Amazon & would have to be shipped from either the US or China. I came across John Moncrieff Lighting. UK company established in 1865. Easy to use website,competitive prices. They stocked to Chimney I required & was packaged really well with several wraps of "bubble Wrap", in a strong carboard box filled with Loose Fill Packing Peanuts. delivery was quick. excellent quality glass chimney, which fitted perfectly.

Not what were ordered & not fit for purpose
The items were delivered promptly enough, although the box was delivered mistakenly to a neighbour, but this is an on-going issue with the particular courier.
Unfortunately, even though the invoice stated that I had been sent 2 oil-lamp chimneys with 55mm bases, this was not at all so. The delivered bases had 2 inch (51mm) bases, which are too small and would break to try fitting them. The 55mm would be 2 & 1/4 inch bases, which were precisely what was required; not too tight or too loose. I will not be paying good money to send something back that I should not have received in the first place, I won’t unfortunately be buying from this business again. My invoice states 55mm were ordered. All I am hoping is the mistake was just carelessness rather than a cynical off-loading of items

We take product accuracy very seriously and would never knowingly send an incorrect item or "off-load" unsuitable stock. If there has been an error in the product supplied, we would have been happy to look into it and work towards a solution had we been made aware of the problem.
As we have no record of any contact regarding this order, we would encourage you to get in touch with our customer service team so we can review the details and determine whether an incorrect item was dispatched or if there is another explanation for the sizing discrepancy.
