Just received a delivery from Jewson branch in West Wickham. How refreshing! Proper old school customer service from the driver. Couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly.

Visited store at Berwick upon Tweed. Three staff members chatted amongst themselves and totally ignored me. I walked out. Was it because I was a woman? Did they not consider I might have been about to spend a large sum of money!

Visited Leeds North branch, didn't have what I wanted but Dawn went above and beyond to find another branch that did. Would recommend for all your building supplies.

To be honest never knew this Jewson existed at Talke Pits, Stoke on Trent but will definitely be using them again whenever needed. They were so polite and helpful and even carried the bricks to our car. We will be recommending them to our friends too.

Helpful and friendly service but boy are they expensive.
Just bought 2 x 2.5m black plastic drainpipes £31 at Cumnock branch.
Exact same product £7.50 each (£15.00) from Screwfix and £8.79 each ( £17.58 ) from B&Q
Only used Jewson as local, won't use them again.

I called the Highgate branch to hire a tool and was told the person who deals with hire was out on a delivery, but they would return and call me back in 15 minutes; no call received and when I called back 30 minutes later I was told he was caught in traffic and would be back in about 10 minutes; I called again after another 40 minutes to be told he wasn’t in at all, then in the same breath I was told I couldn’t hire tools anyway, then I was told he would be another hour.

What a waste of time. I will certainly avoid using Jewsons in the future.

Ordered a 10 metre scaffold tower from Darlington branch a week ago.
Despite numerous calls and assurances from the branch it failed to materialize this morning. Absolutely no communication to explain why.
The classic " he's on the other line" rubbish when we rang.
Roofers were booked in to do the work. First and last time we will try them for plant hire.
If you can't get it sorted .....SAY SO !

Absolutely shocking customer service and even worse service
I ordered materials for a job to be delivered on a Saturday morning the chap dealing with my order kris harrod took my money and confirmed the delivery he said he would be in touch if there was to be any issue .
On the Saturday I had things to be doing it got to 11:45 and was thinking where is my materials so obviously no answer from the branch as it was closed !! So no delivery I could not go any further with the job which meant I couldn't work the Sunday either .
I had to push my job the following weekend back from which the customer was not happy and cancelled my work resulting in me loosing a £2000 job
Some of the materials I needed for the existing where needed to pur a concrete slab the gut took the contract to pour concrete off me so I had to re-emburse hin £2600 so a total of over 4 thousand ponds loss at this point.
I cancelled some of the materials but replaced with a bit of drainage which was a shortfall of what the mesh cost
It has now been over 2 weeks since the original order and I am still awaiting what refund I'm entitled to .
The constant "ill call you back " or "someone is sorting this from another branch "
And my favourite one is "he's not at his desk , I'll get him to call you back "
I'm absolutely fuming and the consistent messing around and money loss they should be refunding the whole cost of mu order @jewson !!!!

Outstanding service at the Rochdale branch. I needed a small number of very small (5 inches square) pieces of MDF for an art project, so I rang Jewsons after googling timber merchants locally. Paul answered my call, could not have been more helpful, and rang me back about 15 minutes later to say the order was all ready. I went to pick the order up, and all your staff on site were friendly and professional, the order had been executed perfectly and the price was very fair. I felt valued as a customer despite it being such a tiny order, and would recommend the branch.

Much cheaper trade materials than there competitors.

Outstanding customer service at our Exeter branch. We are renovating an old house and the whole team are so helpful not only with tips but help in loading our van. It’s a breath of fresh air to have staff that really go above and beyond

insane pricing online. for example 50x100,2400 CLS £14. Its £4 at Harlow timber. I understand that you get a great discount if trade (which I am) but this just feels like you are gouging retail customers and i dont like it.

Less than helpful. Employee inside told me to ask someone outside. The employee outside was too busy to help. Find a better merchant for materials,

I'm going to start by naming and shaming Bradstone who sold me faulty slabs that faded within 1 week of being laid,when I contacted Bradstone they wanted photos of the slabs which I sent and they replied by saying the slabs have been laid wrong and there's nothing more they can do,I've told them I'm £1000 out of pocket because of their faulty slabs but they don't care and only say the slabs have been laid wrong and there's nothing more we can do,now to heap praise on jewson who were excellent, their staff couldn't be more helpful and as soon as I told them my situation after ordering the new slabs they did everything they could to get them delivered to me as soon as possible,I would highly recommend Jewson and will be buying more of their products.

it's ok .. not always have everything but not bad

No prices displayed (obviously with good reason!) so decided to risk it pay at the tills. £72 for 10 litres of Dulux Matt emulsion! Absolute rip off prices and please don’t tell me it’s cheaper for account holders , I’m just not interested in lame excuses for overpricing. Do not use Jewson , they are laughable in terms of value for casual customers. Store in question was Chester, Christleton road. Very bad , rip off , no other words for it really

Trying to hire a cement mixer from this company what a joke fill in the online form we'll get back to you with a price two days later emailed them still haven't heard anything so I've had to cancel and go elsewhere I wouldn't recommend hiring anything from this company

The staff at the Hythe branch of Jewsons make all the difference. Not only did they find me what I needed after I had just about given up, but they are cheerful and welcoming.
