Involved Holidays Omdömen 

I have just returned from an incredible trip to Andalucia with Involved Holidays, and once again, they delivered a wonderful experience!

This was my third time travelling with the company, but my first time joining a holiday as a solo traveller.

The experience began perfectly: John was at the airport to meet me and ensure a smooth, efficient transfer to the hotel, where the excellent Tour Manager, Manuel, was waiting to greet us.

My accommodation was lovely; I enjoyed a comfortable room featuring a balcony overlooking the pool. The hotel food was plentiful and varied throughout the week but food not very hot. —a minor letdown by the hotel itself, certainly not a reflection on Involved Holidays—the quality of the food was good. There was varied nightly entertainment in the bar.

As an added bonus, the hotel booking included a free hour in the Spa facilities (note: this does not include a treatment). A small note for future travellers: you do need a swimming hat or can be a shower cap, or be prepared to purchase one cheaply from the Spa. I spent a lovely hour in the warm pool, relaxing my tired walking muscles.

A quick tip about the hotel: Although the hotel do not provide a kettle in the rooms, the bar staff were happy to provide hot water free of charge, which was very helpful! Just remember a cup.

The absolute highlight of the trip was the visit to the stunning Alhambra Palace. Seeing this historical masterpiece in person was breathtaking. It was not too busy, and we had plenty of time for exploration, with our official guide bringing its rich history and beauty brilliantly to life.

There were 3 walks planned in with a fourth optional one. The first walk was the shortest with steep climbs up to Devils Tower. The second involved a lot of flat walking along the promenade into Almuñécar followed by a climb up the cliff from the beach. Exceptional views at the top. The third started in Frigiliana with a walk around followed by a descent to the coast and Nerja. It was considered to be the easiest of the 3 but the descents are not good on the knees.

I did take up the offer of the optional fourth walk but no mountain climbing for me, instead I visited the mountain villages of Capileira and Pampaneira. Where I able to walk around the village, look in the shops and enjoy lunch with some of my fellow travellers whilst we waited for the mountain climbers to return.

This solo travel experience was comfortable, secure, and highly enjoyable.

I wholeheartedly recommend their Andalucia Eastern Coast tour and am already looking forward to booking my next adventure with them!

Eastern Andalucia
My first holiday with Involved Holidays. The whole was very well organised from booking, receiving paperwork, being met and transferred to/from the hotel. A comfortable hotel - good showers, balcony, very good buffet breakfasts and evening meals. It was a 'Solo' holiday but there were several couples who had booked late at a considerable reduction on Travelzoo. Not sure if I am happy with that but understand the needs of business to make the holiday viable; but all mixed in.
Great included trip to Granada for the Alhambra - most seemed to have booked with this in mind. The first walk was from the hotel - quite an ascent but lovely views from Devil's Tower; would have preferred a different route back. The second walk was mostly on the 'promenade' to Almunecar; several had walked most of this in free time so not the most interesting. Caught the bus, by the hotel, on the free day to Almunecar to explore the castle and other ruins - interesting history. The third, optional walk feed back was positive, knee problems prevented doing this, but it was great to have time to explore the Alpujarras villages of Capileira and Pampaneria.
Absolute five stars to Manuel who was a very knowledgeable guide throughout - he looked after us all exceptionally well. Thank you

Another great winter sun walking holiday. My third! This time to Eastern Andalucía. The walks were superb and complimented by two excellent guides in Jon and Manuel. Nothing was too much trouble. With the exception of one day, the weather was sunny which allowed lightweight walking gear. The food and accommodation was super with the only complaint being the food wasn't as hot as I like it (hence 4*). Plenty of choice though.

Fantastic Holiday in Cyprus!
Just returned from an excellent holiday to Cyprus with Involved Holidays. We stayed at the Athena Beach Hotel in Paphos - rooms, food, and facilities were all first class. The guides were friendly, knowledgeable, and really made the trip special.
The highlight for me was walking in the Troodos Mountains - such beautiful scenery and a great way to experience the real Cyprus.
Highly recommend both the hotel and Involved Holidays for a well-organised and memorable trip!

My first trip with involved , not impressed , though many repeat holiday goers agreed the holiday was one of involved poorest.
Hotel was generally very good , maramar estival though in need of staff customer training ..
Main issue was poor standard of works , frequent agenda changes and lack of local knowledgeable guide.
Trains were main line express to local villages , walks ended at siesta time so little to see , eat or do...
39 people in a "solo" group that consisted of about 4 or 5 true solo travellers . All others either part of walking groups or joining friends, so group interaction very limited...

Excellent holiday walking the Andalucia coast. The organisation is first class and our tour guide Manuel and walking guides John and Graham were fantastic. Walks were pitched at the right level with every care taken to adapt to abilities and the temperature. Beautiful scenery and a very friendly atmosphere. Would definitely recommend.

The resort of Stresa was absolutely perfect, so beautiful and relatively quiet in comparison to lake Garda. The traditional Italian hotel was spotless and well positioned on the lakeside. The staff were very friendly and cheerful and went out of their way to help . The walking guides were knowledgeable and all the walks were interesting and varied.

I have recently returned from another walking holiday and this time to Lake Maggiore, Italy with Involved Holidays. The hotel was very good and the staff very friendly and helpful. The food was good although would have liked a little more choice for breakfast. The view from the hotel over to to the lake was beautiful. The guides were excellent and very knowledgeable although I would have preferred the walks to be a little longer. There are lots to do on free days - ferry trips to the amazing wee islands on Lake Maggiore or a train trip to Lacorno in Switzerland.
I have been on three holidays now with this company and find them to be excellent. The staff are very efficient and give you a very personal service. I would definitely recommend 'Involved Holidays' for group travel and for single people. Everyone is very friendly.

My 6th holiday with involved, Bay of Poets and Cinque Terra. Beautiful Scenery and great weather. Would have preferred a larger group, only 6 of us. Walk leaders were good but input from rep, Claudia, was limited. Because the hotel had a wedding we were on one evening transferred to a new restaurant for dinner. This venue was good but we learned of the switch by accident, Claudia should have known and advised us.

Another successful holiday with Involved Travel for our group of 27 walkers.
The hotel, ideally situated in the town of Mellieha offered excellent accommodation, food and service.
Our guide Jose and his team showed extensive knowledge of Malta’s history and beauty.
The walks were challenging, often on rocky terrain but the stunning views were our reward.
Valletta, Mdina and Mosta were visited on our day off, local buses stopped outside our hotel! So much to see, I could go on and on. We loved every minute.

Gozo, a beautiful island not to be missed especially the majestic Ta’ Pinu Basilica.

Another great holiday, this time to Crete. Went with a group of 7 friends who all said they wanted to do another holiday next year. Gouves itself is a bit “meh”but we found some good places to eat and drink. Food, hotel, walks and guides all fantastic and all the fellow walkers were lovely. Would recommend a trip to the archeological museum in Heraklion and also a visits to Knossos Palace.

Again a great holiday.
Choice of airport to travel from in UK. Met at destination airport and hotel transfer organised.
Hotel Joseph was excellent. Walks excellent with a friendly, knowledgeable Guide. Added day trip to Florence was well worth it.

This was my first holiday with Involved. Lovely group of people. Excellent hotel with fantastic choice of food. Very well organised. The local guides, Leanne and Panicos, were very knowledgable and accommodating. Walks and outings were varied and interesting.

Involved Holidays are excellent in terms of planning, arrangements and customer services. Although I was the only person flying to Lanzarote with Involved there were no problems. Joao, our holiday leader met me at Arrivals, shouting my name (I walked with him on a u3a holiday in November). The hotel had suites but no lifts. As my room was on Floor 3 a member of staff brought my suitcase to my room. The food was generally good but, as the hotel was family based, there was a lot of noise in the dining room.
The walks were well organised but, as I'm only 5 feet 2 inches tall I found that some of them were a bit too challenging for me and had to request help from the leaders when necessary - this was willingly given. Walking on lava fields is totally different to any other kinds - much more difficult. Don't go on this holiday if you suffer from vertigo or balance problems - there were some high, narrow paths. The scenery was breath taking at times. It's worth going on the optional walk and Joao organised a further walk along Famara Beach and to the Caesar Manrique Institute - that was my favourite day.
The hotel is located not far from the beach, supermarkets etc.
If you enjoy challenging walks, then this is the holiday for you!

An excellent experience. We could not have asked more our resort rep, Leanne, and walks guide, Panicos. They were absolutely brilliant - knowledgeable and enthusiastic about Cyprus and good company. The hotel is excellent; comfortable rooms and excellent food. We all sat together for breakfast and dinner and enjoyed each other's company. We would highly recommend this walking holiday.

Had a great week in Malta and Gozo, my first walking holiday with Involved. The guides were knowledgeable and helpful and we had a great rep in Josè. Malta is a lovely place for walking, the scenery is stunning. Hotel was very comfortable and the food good. Would definitely recommend Involved.

Great weeks holiday in Malta and Gozo - 3 guided walks to different areas on both islands which included many historical sights and places of interest.
I hadn't realised just how much diverse history and many places of interest to visit in Malta.
