Foundational Content & Helpful Networking
The Interaction Design Foundation is a solid platform for building a foundational learning in multiple aspects of design, from systems to service to UX/UI, and more. Their coursework and literature is relevant, detailed and empathetic, with industry leaders holding classes and interesting masterclasses held frequently in many fields. The community is active in every major city, as well, thus offering multiple networking and career growth opportunities. I recommend this platform highly and have been a member for 3 years now.

Very thorough courses
I've been a subscriber of IxDF for many years and I found the courses very useful and thorough.
They cover a lot of topics and are perfect for beginners as well as for more expert users.
There are a lot of practical examples and free downloadable material that can be used for portfolio's projects.
It is also possible to join or create a local community and find other users in your area, so this is perfect for networking!
The annual price is very low considering the amount of courses available.
I read many bad reviews about the annual billing and the renewal process, but it all seemed very transparent to me. Moreover, I often received a discount on the full price by just asking if there was any offer available.
Highly recommended!

There are courses for everyone, from a beginner to an expert.
To the extent that the joining fees seems like too cheap once you spend few weeks learning.

Can’t believe I have to give one star
From 1star to 2star - They gave me my refund
Can’t believe I have to give one star. They use dark patterns to make it look like you are signing up for £20 a month. Then they charge you £240!!! (Annual billing all up front) - this has fused me to go under £0 with my bank and I have no overdraft. This will affect my credit rating! I have emailed them about the refund but haven’t heard anything back. Reddit users say it can be really hard to get the refund! Using their UX design powers to make people think they are spending less than they charge you. Disgraceful

I’m sorry to hear you’re feeling this way. I understand how frustrating it can be when things don’t seem clear. On that note, we display our prices in the same way as companies like Adobe, Figma, Dropbox, Microsoft, Notion, etc. It’s an industry standard and makes it easy to compare prices across the internet.
We offer both monthly and yearly billing options, and it looks like you opted for the yearly plan. We really do our best to make all pricing info clear and avoid frustration from our users: We write it 2 places on the sign-up pages, on the billing page, in the invoice email, in our reminder email, and a few other places. The reason I’m mentioning this is just because we’re so passionate about UX/customer experience– so we really designed every single detail with as much care and perfectionism as possible – including the pricing info. In this case, we really did our best to make it super clear :-)
It seems you may have missed this info but I’m always here to help clarify any details for you. We’re happy to take on your feedback and see if there’s anything else we can do.

Great educational platform!
IDF, in my experience, has been the leader in UX/UI education for a while now, and I get why. Their courses cover a wide variety of topics, are extensive and give solid formation for professionals.
Nevertheless, my most recent experience had nothing to do with the courses but with the customer support.... and I have to say that it had the same level of professionalism. It all started with a misunderstanding with the plan I chose and Rikke was with me all along the way explaining very patiently my options.
I look forward to completing many more courses in the IDF, it is really worth it!

IxDF is especially helpful for those who are changing fields.
I transitioned from chemical engineering to UI/UX design. Although most of the courses I took from IxDF were asynchronous, I often felt like the instructors understood and addressed what I was feeling in the moment. The balance between video and written content in the lessons made it easier for me to retain what I learned, and the courses were incredibly encouraging when it came to putting what I learned into practice.
Not only in the courses but also in the interactions I had, I received warm, constructive, and valuable feedback that made me feel appreciated.

The Interaction Design Foundation (IxDF) has been a game-changer in my design journey. This online education platform contains some of the most in-depth and detailed training that every web and interface designer should have a background in. Complex concepts like UX design, usability, and interaction design are broken down into digestible lessons that are essential for any designer looking master the craft or keep their skills sharp.
They have an amazing roster of instructors including William Hudson, Alan Dix, Frank Spillers (his courses on Accessibility are a MUST!), and Don Norman. There's also a vibrant community of other designers around the world to connect with, and the opportunity to meet up with local groups as well.

I have been a member of this great design and UX resource for a few years now. A few months ago I missed a discount rate just before my subscription renewal. Rikke and her team were amazing at helping me with this and was able to apply the discount to my membership and gave me a refund. The team were extremely speedy in dealing with my refund. A human, personal and heart warming contact
First of all, the content shared on the website is detailed and of hight quality.
You will find a lot of information to learn and progress in UX UI design.
Also, while surfing on the website of Interaction Design Foundation, I answered a short quiz on UX Design to win template bundle.
Shortly after I received an email, asking me which template bundle I chose as well as a discount on a course.
I sent the title of the chosen template and kindly refused the discount. Following that answer, I had several mail exchanges with this person as she tried to understand what was holding me back from taking a course and gave me a lot of tips and counsel to continue to polish my skills.
It was a very heartwarming and encouraging exchange that showed the dedication of the people who created the Interaction Design Foundation.

Well structured and engaging courses
The courses are well structured, with a really engaging mix of videos and written texts. The learning paths and the supportive materials, extra webinars etc. made it really worth and I recommend it to not only UX wanna be professionals but also product and project managers who want to get more insights and understanding into the whole concept of product, design and customer thinking.

I just started the course “User…
I just started the course “User Research: Methods and Best Practices”, so my review will not be complete. I have done user experience research before, but it was important for me to hear from practicing UX professionals about the need for it.
The motivation I received helped me conduct a study in which I identified the company's values as seen by users of its product, and also conceptualized these values in one deep concept and identified the main difference of the company in the market. The presentation based on the research contained enough arguments, supported by facts, for the company's management to begin to take action on this new information.
My next step will be to conduct a study of interactions within the company to improve its sustainability. It will probably be necessary to shift the system of values and measures from artificial ones, such as money and fame, to natural ones, such as health and education, which Don Norman talks about in his course "Design for a Better World".

Unnecessary course pacing disrupts learning
Interaction Design Foundation offers material that is 100% focused on UX, which sets it apart from many other e-learning platforms.
However, a major drawback is their pacing system, which forces a mandatory pause of a week or more between course sections. While I understand the intention might be to encourage reflection or prevent rushing, this rigid structure severely disrupts the learning flow. It’s frustrating to engage actively for 1-2 hours, only to have your progress halted for days. This disrupts momentum and forces me to juggle multiple courses simultaneously just to stay productive.
The pacing feels like a deliberate mechanism to stretch out memberships, as it artificially limits how quickly you can complete courses. As a learner, this is counterproductive
