I started the program because I wanted to help others get better. At first, I thought I was going to learn about nutrition and then use the knowledge to help people live healthier lives by telling them what to eat. There is so much more to your health than food. In the end, I learned so much about me and finding myself that now I have the missing link to help others. The coaching circles helped tremendously and need to be incorporated in each "semester". This would help with more accountability and answer any questions. Overall, it is a great program for anybody interested in their health.

The Health Coach and Nutrition Training Program is transformative and positively impacted my life in many ways. I took the program during a season where I needed change and to focus on my overall health. I was able to start my own business and worked with clients who were busy professionals seeking balance and overall health improvement - my market based on my own journey. The lessons I learned personally still benefit me all these years later. I am so glad I found the school and continue to connect with the alumni community.

I've worked in Health & Wellness fields since my preteens. I thought Fred Flintstone & Barney Rubble created Multi Vitamins! Indeed, they tasted like Candy at The Bedrock Quarry.
I have practical and clinical experience in the areas of Retail, Marketing, Lab, Team Building, Mgmt., Manufacturing, Fulfillment, Health Coaching, Radio, TV, & Film.
In 2022, I called Bastyr University to enroll in their M.S. in Clinical Nutrition program as it became available as a distance learning program.
In the interim, I felt led to add a step in my career path to accentuate "Balance" and improve my personal development. I sought to improve Listening Skills, Assimilation, Reformation, & Transformation in light of the Information overload Age.

Enter IIN- The Institute for Integrative Nutrition
New York NY. Initially, I was intrigued by the visiting faculty consisting of Dr. Mark Heyman ( I have communicated with prior to), Dr. Joh Axe. D.C ( I worked with him and Jordan Rubin at Beyond Organic), & Dr. Oz of Oprah fame.
IIN's background as an accredited and certified Health Coach Professional Institute would prepare me to take the NBHWC ( National Board of health & Wellness Coaches) exam.
I spoke with Juliet in IIN Student Admissions and was greeted with a welcoming warmth. Her exuberant professionalism felt "right". I enrolled in March 2023 for IIN's accelerated IINHCP program with intent to graduate in October of 2023. I will graduate from CIP on Dec. 5, 2023 to prep NBHWC
As a working professional & recipient of a Life Saving Living Donor Kidney Transplant, my incentive was to save $ on my tuition.

I "Knew" I was nestled in place when School Founder Joshua Rosenthal MS Ed mentioned that Bio Individuality was the key Component at IIN and The Essential Coaching Skills were tools that led patients and clients to "Transformation & "Reformation" This is what I observed in hundreds of patients over the last two decades. Too much information and very little Transformation. In large part, Rosenthal clarified the murky waters.
Understanding the human heart and helping it reach it's innate "Primary Food/Fuel)" was essential to discover the intrinsic motivators that would lead patients and clients to true change.
The course work that centered around Career Building, Nutrition Science, Mitochondrial Health, Somatic Healing, Epigenetics, and Frequency healing were entreated like a tributary of brazen stones.

I am a True Believer in "Tangibility" in my walk of Faith (developed it over a 14 year trial) , so the Metaphysical and other Mystical Arts were not a topic of interest for me. It did help me understand the mindsets of others and reinforced our keen need for compassion, empathy, understanding and acceptance of others in a non judgmental way.
IIN served a "LIFE HUB Central" for me as 2 Book ends of my Life came into view towards my Masters in Clinical Nutrition from Bastyr in the near future.
I grew personally, professionally, and my wife Kristen fond of my changes.
Mess 2 Message.
My LIFE mess (14 years on hemodialysis from mercury toxicity led to end stage renal failure, moving code blue, having multiple surgeries for my dialysis access and eleven bio dental extractions to remove the mercury).
This chapter began in 2000 and ended on December 9, 2015 when I received a Life Gift from Laura Workman.

I used a myriad of methods and resources to stay health and optimistic during the bookends of this Detour. These details are included in my Autobiography. Many other Health Care Professionals and Rockstar's/Celebrities' share their own testimonials in my Autobiography.

I received Certifications in Soil Sciences, Homeopathy, & Herbalism at Weber State UT.
I recently enjoyed conferences with Dr. Kristi Hughes ND and Dr. Kiran from Microbiome Labs Research.

I've authored 2 books including my autobiography "Wannabee Rockstar who finally Found The Rock" published by Dr. Robert Bard O.D as a testimonial and a platform to share my experiences. I refer to anecdotal evidence from what I gleaned from Health care Professionals such as Dr. Dan Clark M.D.(Emory University), Dr. Lee Cowden M.D. (A4M), & Dr. Jordan Rubin ( The Makers Diet/Garden of Life Founder) to impart to my readership.
Our Team built this platform on December 12th, 2012.

In 2023, we've grown into "1Step2Wellness"
We launch our podcast and platform soon.
I'm available in 30 minute segments on ROKU T V with "Talk About It TV" (hosts Tanya Holcomb & Brian Moore a former Pro Bull Rider & Concert promoter)
We plan to include a "Rockstar 1Step2Wellness" plan to my peers in the professional music community as I am also inducted into several societies and have received awards.

I have loved most of the content that I have learned and will definitely use it to further my career as an Integrative Health Coach. I have to agree with a few people who stated that the communication started off great and then by the end it was nearly impossible to get questions answered and talk to someone live. The coaching circles were incredibly helpful because it was live and at the end the Integration Labs were somewhat helpful but gave very general information and feedback but still nice to communicate live with two coaches. I asked a couple of questions on the forums in the Integration Labs that never got answered there. This was not a good place to ask questions or connect with other students. I did appreciate some of the "spiritual" content but felt that the course is very biased toward certain spiritual practices and does not incorporate any Christian values or practices which was a bit disheartening. Besides a couple of speakers sharing their faith briefly I did not connect with most of what was taught at the Spiritual level. Yes we have to be open to different practices so this should also include people being open to Christian values and practices as well. As a Christian to have a psychic teach a session was very against my beliefs and did not even watch that session. And that's ok that was my choice but there was a question on one of the exams about it so I had to guess. All other content was very helpful when looking at our health holistically. I would suggest having someone like Craig Groeschel speak at one of your sessions who is a Pastor and Christian leader but also very holistic in his approach to health and wellness. It would be a great addition to this course.

I cannot recommend this program enough to everyone I know. IIN completely changed my life - it was the catalyst in my own journey of self healing and it gave me the knowledge and resources to finally pursue a career in wellness. 5 years later I couldn’t be happier with my life and where I’m at and I genuinely owe so much of that to the past version of myself that took a chance and followed my gut and said yes to IIN!! Listen to that voice that tells you there is something here and go for it - your future self will thank you .

Extremely pleased and grateful for all the training I received from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition, it has broaden my prespectives, which I never thought and taught would be possible after getting trained in Conventional Medicine and obtaining a Family Medicine Diploma(Research). This course has changed my own health and wellness prespectives, along with instilling the confidence needed to become a Health coach myself thus being in a position of a guiding light to instill the same in all my future clients, and trusting in the process that will help the clients explore their Own ability to Heal themselves.

This has been the best decision I have made for myself and for my career. Best support, best community and really great resources to help you on your way. Hands down 100% recommend

I'm sorry to say, but I have to give a low review. The content and material being taught is good, but what started out to be a good program quickly took a turn when they removed the student call support center. It was a HUGE loss to the learning experience because all of a sudden there was no student support. It's been a challenge getting answers to questions. Students went from having a live person to talk to on the phone and then all of a sudden it became robotic, and honestly I couldn't get the answers I needed in a timely manner.

I absolutely love the training and community within the IIN program. I had been immersed in health and wellness for years and had long considered IIN but always balked at the price thinking I couldn’t afford it. Well after taking the course I wish I had done it sooner. The modules were easy to go through yet jam packed with wonderful information. I loved the coaching circles. Life sometimes gets in the way but when I missed a circle there was an easy way to add another. I loved how you could reach out to fellow students for accountability and practice and the fb group helped with that and other connections. I am a better listener because of this course and have loved the emphasis on primary foods. My emphasis now with clients begins with primary foods and I am creating a course based on a group of them including art which I have back to placing at top of my daily to do list. Thank you IIN for helping bring joy into my life. That is priceless.

After a 30 year career in conventional medicine, as a registered nurse, nurse educator, infection preventionist and a director of nursing, I recognized that I needed a change. There had to be a better way than just symptom management! So, that started my journey at getting to the root cause. My mentors prior to IIN were Dr. Josh Axe, Dr. Daniel Amen, Dr. Mark Hyman, and several other visiting faculties for IIN. However, I was still missing something and started investigating, “How I can make a difference in myself, my family and my community?” Then, I stumbled into health coaching and after much further investigation, I concluded that IIN was the best choice for a holistic education to start my next journey in life.
IIN not only matched my expectations but superseded them! The IIN program is progressive in learning, as each lesson builds onto another. The lessons are engaging, and the information and support that is provided is second to none. The Coaching Circles are interactive and extremely informative! The support with the IIN Facebook group brings students together from all over the world.
The IIN program enables students to grow in their own personal health and wellbeing, as well as provides the education to be successful in health coaching. IIN’s integrative approach to learning, including the multidimensional and bio-individual methods to health and well-being can’t be matched!
During the IIN program, I learned how to fix my lifelong gut issues and now, I feel amazing! No bloat and no brain fog! I have been able to utilize all that I’ve learned to health coach my husband; where his insulin resistance and therefore, his health has improved drastically. Now, while still attending IIN, I have started my own health coaching program, “Live Well Integrative Nutrition” and have spoken at a Parkinson’s Support Group on Brain Health, which kicked off providing individual and couple health coaching sessions. My current health coaching clients are already referring friends to my program. I am currently providing in-person and virtual sessions. Without IIN, this would never be possible!

I took this course and graduated this year 2023,,started my business Organically Heaven and it totally changed my perspective about what I thought was healthy and how I thought I was living a healthy lifestyle. I learned that in order to get healthy I needed to get healthy in all facets that started on what I was and who I was allowing around me. Also, it helped fine tune what I thought was healthy functioning relationships and why I thought how I thought regarding them and what I couldn’t accept any longer regarding people in my life because if I wanted to be the best health/wellness/nutrition coach I had to walk the walk and talk the talk in every facet of my life it all starts with us! We have to power to change our lives and in turn change others in our lives as well whether that be our friends, family, and most importantly our clients! It also helps us get mentally prepared for us being cognizant and loving people to our clients as well and actually listening to them rather than listening to them the way we may have used to been listening to our family and friends giving them advice when it’s so much better having THEM figure out what they need to do for their lives on their own! I highly recommend that people take this course and dive deeper into the world of REAL health and nutrition at IIN because you don’t go out the same way you came in. It’s simply transformative! I took this course almost 15 years ago when it was live. The reason I’m writing a review is because the way of thinking has pervaded how I work with clients and how I think about health and wellness. The work I did with IIN indelibly changed my life and career.

I came into this program with a Masters of Science in Psychology, and already practicing as a Registered Clinical Counsellor early on in my private practice. I was hoping to further enhance my holistic understanding of nutrition that could support clients (and my family!), however the amount of actual dietary information received was rather misleading in comparison to what I signed up for. It would appear as though they have been working to expand their content beyond just dietary nutrition which is completely valid (just not what I was looking for as I was approaching from the opposite angle!)

The content of the course itself was interesting and offered a nice overview of the many facets of wellness. While much of it was a refresher of content I had studied in past degrees, it was generally presented in an accessible way that was easy to internalize. I do wish that there was more focus on food given that’s what I spent money to learn about, however did find some benefit to the content.

Through the program, I was able to focus in on my niche and expand my social media platform (@FraserValleySexTherapist) as well as engage in many speaking opportunities and develop working relationships with those in my field whom have been a positive source of income generation. I will say, however, that I credit this very much to the WhatsApp group my cohort created so that we could have a forum to actually discuss the content and push each other, as this was a severely lacking component of the program in my opinion. Coaching calls were completed by phone, so there was no face to face interaction with peers throughout the program (which I think would have added value in learning to read body language and build rapport as coaches for those not already in the field ). The Facebook group provided doesn’t allow participants to make posts, only reply to existing threads, so having a chat available to seek support from peers was valuable.

All in all, my experience with the program as supplementary to my existing education was positive, though not fully what I was hoping for upon signing up.

Initially this program starts out phenomenal! Organized, lots to learn, very engaging in the FB group.
However, as the program continues you realize you'll never join a real life conversation outside of the coaching circles. Most "conversation" is through a Facebook page which is so cheap in my opinion. And by the end, you're on your own. Very little response and the courses become fillers.
FEEDBACK: More real life conversations or even a few courses. And the ability to choose a path halfway through the course. I have no interest in "grounding" but find nutrition fascinating. I'd love to have been able to go 100% that direction after getting a taste of everything around the 6m mark.

Hot finalmente me llegó mi credencial que acredita oficialmente como un Coach de Salud yeahhhh!!! que emoción 😃🙏👏👏Ha sido un largo camino lleno de mucho de muchísimo aprendizaje. Aún recuerdo cuando me encontré con IIN estaba tan deseosa de cambiar mi vida en muchos aspectos y ayudar a los demás, casi siempre las personas que me rodean vienen a mi para un consejo o simplemente escucharlos antes lo hacía sin ningún tipo se conocimiento y una de las tantas cosas que aprendí en IIN es a comprender que la salud es multidimensional todos somos diferentes y únicos y eso me hizo comprender muchas cosas primero a conocerme a mi misma para después poder ayudar a los demás con una perspectiva diferente en donde he podido aplicarlo a mi vida y con los que me rodean. No te digo que voy a cambiar el mundo pero estoy segura e que ahora soy parte de ese efecto domino, mi mundo a cambiado recuerdo los problemas digestivos que padecía ocasionados por el mal manejo del estrés y la mala alimentación estaba cansada de sentirme enferma, pero ahora con toda la información que adquirí y aprendí en IIN de cómo priorizar mi alimento primario luego y trabajar en ese cambio de adentro hacia afuera todo iba poniéndose en lugar hoy por hoy esos problemas digestivos son parte de la historia. Me propuse predicar con el ejemplo y simultáneamente ayudar a mi primer clienta que me ha acompañado en este recorrido, quiero agradecerle a Ella también porque fue la persona que Dios puso en mi camino para poner en práctica lo aprendido y lo más hermoso de todo es que tanto mi mundo como el de ella han cambiado y yo me siento tan Feliz y agradecida de escuchar decir a mi clienta gracias por todo lo que ha hecho por mi ahora soy una mujer más segura y en paz wow 😮 créanme esa es una de las mayores satisfacciones que he tenido en todo este recorrido. I made an almost $100 order from their bookstore over a month ago and never received it. The app they tell you to check says it hasn’t been shipped. Tried all the contact ways. The WhatsApp (cause that’s how professionals communicate) told me to email a direct email. I did and was told they’d get right back to me. A week+ and nothing. Try contacting again and nothing. Now I’m wanting to withdraw from my classes starting in September (who wants to do business with such an unprofessional place) and they aren’t responding. When I registered for classes though they were all over that.

Update - After posting this review I was contacted by the school and the issue was resolved. I was asked to update the review to reflect that.

IIN gave me the insight, tools and resources to write my first book “The IVF Mindfulness Journal” which I pray helps women embarking on IVF feel confident & in control of their bio-individual IVF journey. According the the New York Times 45% of Americans are stressed out making us Americans “the most stressed out in the world”. As we all know, this type of “fight or flight” sympathetic stress cycle can cause miscarriage. My goal is for these IVF Warriors to understand their nervous system better, inspiring healthy habits that promote a parasympathetic lifestyle while TTC and beyond!

This was just the program I needed to fill in the gaps I was missing on my health journey. IIN provided so much information and resources and I look forward to taking what I've learned and applying it to my practice.
