Unfortunately I felt I was mislead in my experience. I paid $1400 believing I could finish the course when I was completed with my other College degree. Little did I know ISSA would begin locking me out of my courses and implying the only way to move forward was to yep you guessed it pay more money. It seems like a total scam what hey do here. Their sales reps are deceiving to get you to lock in to current promos but their $49 promo actually never goes away. Their managers will entice you that they are gonna help you and give you a sweet deal to get back going and save you money but guess what it is still gonna cost $900ish just shy of what the original payment was. All in all I feel scammed and their certification aren't even validated at most big gyms, NASM is the one you want to go with and that's what I am doing after my terrible experience with ISSA. Worst part is because their payment plans you can't chargeback and even if you did the harsh collection tactics I could imagine they'd try to ruin your personal credit. I'm out $1400 and absolutely no care or help form t he company.

Information and classes are decent, but the customer service is lacking. The person who sold me the package has not responded to me when asking for help with next steps after getting certified and the online system has been useless for finding jobs in my area.

I’m giving 3 stars because of my experience with 2 agents who stopped responding after 2 days. That should have been my first red flag. 🚩. The next red flag for me are the job opportunities that are offered. None of the openings are local, not even in the same state or country. The courses are okay, pretty easy for someone who is educated. I’m not sure I would recommend this company to others.

I recently completed my certification through ISSA as part of my work with F45, and while I appreciate the opportunity and the content itself, I found the overall certification process to be quite disappointing.

The primary challenge was navigating the platform. The modules are difficult to track, and there isn’t enough clarity around progress—whether you’ve completed a section, what remains, or if you need to revisit anything. At several points, I found myself unsure if I was actually finished or missing steps, which made the experience unnecessarily frustrating.

In addition, the level of support—both in terms of guidance and system feedback—felt limited. A more intuitive interface, clearer progress indicators, and better communication throughout the process would make a significant difference. It would also be helpful to have more transparency upfront about how the certification is structured and what to expect as you move through each phase.

Overall, the content has value, but the delivery system and user experience need improvement. With stronger IT support and a more user-friendly platform, ISSA could greatly enhance the experience for future users.

I share this feedback in the spirit of improvement and hope it helps strengthen what could otherwise be a very solid certification program.
