Have just replaced a large teak garden set with our second and similar one bought from Humber Imports (now rebranded to Dalby Living). The first set has finally started to disintegrate after around 20 years so no complaints from us at all and would definitely recommend this company for quality of product, excellent prices and timely delivery.

We bought an expensive outdoor teak dining set. The table is great but the chairs have been awful. The first one died quickly and was replaced, but the rest waited until just out of warranty before falling apart. 5 out of the 8 have disintegrated now so we've had to have a go at fixing them ourselves. Definitely wouldn't purchase from here again.

Great price, very speedy delivery. Communication regarding delivery is abit poor however cant fault the product, delivery time and ordering process.

I started looking to replace my garden furniture about a month ago, I did a lot of research and settled on placing my order with Humber Imports. I am really glad I did!
I phoned Humber Imports Thursday morning and asked if I ordered today when it would likely be delivered, Lottie told me it would be early the following week. I was really pleased with this and placed an order online. By email I asked if when the delivery day was confirmed could they let me know the actual day so I could arrange to be around to take delivery. I had an email reply from Lottie saying they may be able to get it sent out on Thursday and it would be with me Friday and asking if this was OK. Friday comes and furniture all arrives securely packed on a pallet.
I ordered the Antibes set so I got an extending oval table that goes from 2m to 3m in length. Ten stacking chairs and ten cushions. Chairs fully assembled and some very simple assembly of table. I have just put the table together. It is a very solid package, looks great and seems to be a quality product.
Why did I choose Humber Imports? I had initially looked at placing an order with a different importer nearer me. Their website says how busy they are and would try to respond to emails in a few days, I phoned and got a recorded message saying something similar. This put me off, as this stuff is coming in from Indonesia, I wanted to place an order with a company I felt would be easily contactable by phone if there was a problem. So I did some more looking online and found the set I bought at a great price at Humber Imports. When I called and the phone was answered promptly, it made my mind up to place my order with this company and I am really pleased I did.

Ordering easy, and delivery came within five days. I did have a couple of chairs missing initially, but this was quickly sorted out, without any drama. The company are friendly to deal with, and their products are lovely quality. I ordered the Sunburst table with eight chairs. Seat cushions for chairs, are included with the price. It took me a few days to treat it all. I re-treated my 10yr old steamer chairs at the same time (I do this each year). My steamers were bought for my 60th, from a different retailer. Now I have this beautiful patio set for my 70th this summer! The only difference over the years, is the colour - it gets a lot darker. I can thoroughly recommend this company.

So often I sit poised to make critical comment on products and services these days, it seems, so what a refreshing change to be able to offer unqualified praise. Very well done Humber Imports, and perhaps those clever manufacturers in Indonesia. We took some while to choose our three seater Lutyens bench and matching table, in teak. After considerable research we chose a deal from Humber. A good clear and detailed website, really good price and simple to order. The items arrived with a good courier in rapid time. All arrived well packed, complete and with clear instructions. The items were really superbly manufactured to very high standards and slotted together easily. This time we got what we expected and are simply delighted. Excellent! Highly recommended on this experience. Well done, and thanks.

Great service and a quality product. The teak table and chairs arrived within 8 days of ordering. I had previously had a bad experience with another importer. The difference is that, as John at Humber Imports told me, he only sells what he can physically see in his warehouse. Others pre-sell and then leave you waiting months while they hope for a stock delivery from the Far East. We are delighted.

There are four elements to this review of a purchase of a 5 ft Oxford garden bench
Order and delivery. After taking the order online there was no communication regarding delivery etc; the courier just arrived one day with the item. Not very good customer service by today's standards.
The bench. Delivered flat packed as expected. All the troubles began when trying to put it together. Instructions made no sense whatsoever in terms of the order of construction. It just would not have worked putting it together as per the instructions. The labels supposedly allowing for ease of construction were actually all the wrong way round. It was as if someone had gone out of their way to do so. All the following difficulties I wrote down at the time. The side rails on the seat were too long to fit behind the front legs. The rear tenons on the seat were angled too much to fit into the mortises on the back. The tenons on the front ends of seat struts did not properly align with the mortises in the front seat rail. Resulting in the pushing out of the front seat rail such that it bowed out. Also on the front seat rail the tenons would not go fully into the mortises of the front legs. Something not cut correctly. At the top of the back the tenons did engage properly with the mortises but none of the dowel pin holes In the mortise lined up with the holes drilled in the tenons. Two of the pre-assembled rails had splits one to breaking point. All in all this was a catalogue of manufacturing errors which I would have found difficult to have expanded on even if I had tried.
The return of the bench. After my initial phone call, what now follows is a word for word copy of the email exchange. Please read it all. Me “ Hi, I spoke with someone, name not known, half an hour ago. I was told you would arrange collection of this faulty bench and arrange a refund. Can you let me know when it is likely to be collected and how you want me to prepare the bench for carriage. It was part assembled but now it is back in the five pieces” . Humber - “Please pack up as best you can, the couriers will contact you regarding the collection. Please ring me when it has been collected and I will issue the refund”. Me - “I have it all boxed up and ready to go. I have heard nothing from the couriers. But the courier has just turned up. But I have no labels, no address, no phone calls, no emails, etc. He said I should have had all that from you by email. He could not wait and said he'd come again after presumably getting fresh instructions to collect. Quite embarrassing really. Can you advise please”. Humber - “You do not need labels just give the courier the bench, you do not need anything just give them the bench!” Me - “Well I'm sorry but the courier would not take the bench. It's in the original box without a label. What was I to do? In case it happens again can you just give me the address anyway and I'll write it on the box. Are you arranging for them to call again and to let me know next time when they are going to call as you had said previously?” Humber - “Couriers create the label at the depot, the box does not need a label. As I said give them the bench then ring me and I will issue the refund. I couldn't have made it plainer.”
Please draw your own conclusions on the level of customer service that prevails here. And bear in mind this was a 5 foot long, 25 KG box.
Well eventually, cutting an even longer story short, the item was eventually collected. Thankfully, the one thing that did work as promised, was the refund.
All quite extraordinary.

It may seem a high rating considering the item had a couple of little issues, however it was the customer service I found excellent. They straight away offered to pick the bench up and refund the money as they did not have a replacement. When I stated I wanted to keep the item as I could rectify the faults they offered some money back, which I did not take.They then without any prompting offered a discount on any items I wanted to order in the future that I will take them up on. Shame more companies do not operate like this one.

I bought an 8 seater Teak garden furniture set just over a year ago and was very impressed with the speed of delivery and quality of the furniture. Just recently one of the chairs was knocked over and the arm sheered off. I contacted the company and they very kindly agreed a replacement, which was delivered the next day. I think this is unbeatable as an example of really first class customer service.

I bought a Rhone enamelled wood burner from Humber Imports 2 years ago. Last week the inside of the stove imploded and the whole of the downstairs was filled with acrid smoke. When dismantled the inside plates including the top plate were cracked and broken. Clearly the cast Iron they are made of was inferior and these stoves are dangerous as mine has now been condemned.
I have emailed Humber Imports and included photos of the damage but they haven't replied!

We ordered a garden table and chairs from Humber Imports and it was delivered two-days later - any quicker and it would have arrived before we ordered it;-)

The quality of the furniture (St. Raphael 4 Seater Teak Garden Set) was very good, the price very reasonable and, as I've already stated, delivered super-quick!

From my experience I would very happily recommend Humber Imports and would have no concerns about shopping with them again.
