HSL Chairs - Newcastle-upon-Tyne Omdömen 

Alex and Graham arrived exactly on time to deliver our chairs which they carefully unpacked and placed in position. The mechanisms were explained on the both the chairs and the footstools which was most helpful. Now we can just sit back, swivel, but most importantly relax!!

Excellent customer experience in the Gateshead/Blaydon store. Afforded ample time to look around without being pestered. Offered a drink on arrival, which was welcome. Amanda came and gave advice when directly asked and was not at all pushy. I wasn’t unnecessarily directed to products I had no interest in, as had been the case in competitor retail outlets.

I returned for a second visit and was assisted by Tim. The store was similarly immaculately presented. Very clean and uncluttered. Quote given/updated on each occasion and printed out to take away to consider.

Returned for a third and final visit - as this was a considerable and important purchase - before pulling the trigger. At no point did I feel under any pressure to go ahead. I strongly suspect HSL staff aren’t on commission, which is welcome (especially given the demographic this retailer typically serve). Don’t be put off by that though, they sell quality products that meet all tastes. My purchase was for a Stressless recliner and it was the best deal available on this or similar products, and with a greater range of sizes/styles than elsewhere.

Overall 10/10 customer service and staff expertise. I would not hesitate to recommend.

Suzanne was extremely pleasant and welcoming and had extensive knowledge of hsl products. She took great care and patience to help me make my decision on the style of seating that I required and it was a most helpful and satisfying experience.

Customer service was outstanding.when I took my Auntie to order her new chair. Especially Suzanne Silcock she explained everything wonderfully to my Auntie . Would highly recommend this store if you live in the north east.

Had previously never come across HSL. Initially we were interested in seeing/trying the ‘Stressless’ brand of which the showroom had 3 types. A warm friendly greeting was given on entering, Tim listened to our thoughts & showed us our options giving us sound knowledge of the product. Without any pressure at any point, he also showed us HSL’s own version/design, then left us alone to try everyone & discuss. We were given a choice of refreshments. Once we had made our decision, Tim dealt with the purchase efficiently. Disappointed America Express not accepted. Originally given up to 14 days delivery date, we were contacted the next day to say our 2 new chairs would be delivered in 4 days ! Excellent communication regarding time slot. The delivery was completed quickly , with no mess, by 2 friendly men who took all packaging away.
It gave us a warm feeling to support a family run Yorkshire business who produce quality furniture.

We recently visited the Newcastle upon Tyne store and received a very warm welcome from professional and knowledgeable staff. We made a purchase on our second visit and managed to meet every single member of the Team who could not do enough to help us. We appreciated the relaxed atmosphere and the fact that there is no hard sell and plenty of time to make your mind up.
Quality British manufactued furniture too!
We definitely recommend the store which has a good range of chairs to try along with great fabric selection and adjustable beds.

apart from some confusion regarding locating the whereabouts of our order,generally the service was good and we are happy with our order.the delivery team(paul and lee) arrived on time and they were very pleasent and polite. paul and lee were very efficient and they had the furniture assembled and in place quickly.timothy and alison both helped us to choose our chairs and sofa and they were both really helpfull.

Delivery of my Stressless chair was on time and delivered within the times specified. Paul & Lee were pleasant and informative on how the chair operates. Great service.

Exceptional service from Suzanne and Amanda. Cannot fault the help we had. Chair delivered next day, and had a phone call to say they were refunding some of our money, as the chair was ex-display, which we didn't realise as the condition was excellent. We were happy with the initial price, but even more so with the refund. How many companies would do this? Cannot praise them enough. The whole experience with HSL from start to finish was exceptional. The salesman in the shop was courteous, professional, knowledgeable and not pushy at all. The communications from the company were informative but not excessive. Arranging delivery of the chair could not have been easier. And the delivery guys were brilliant.
And most importantly, the chair is superb.
HSL are obviously a company that cares about their customers by delivering excellent customer service and producing a quality product.

Pleased with the chair. Very nice company all round to deal with. Knowledgeable and professional showroom staff who could answer all questions. Emma and Alison gave lots of time and help, but without me feeling pressurised or rushed, so feel confident that right choice made.

Suggestions: I was only interested in the 'on offer' chairs which have a very limited fabric choice. It would have helped if larger pieces of these fabrics were available to help judge suitability.
Also, my two (separate) orders have been dispatched in different loads, even though all the chairs were ready to go.

Ordered by telephone as knew which items I required.
