(Hohem M7) Complicated piece of equipment. Unable to use it and whilst trying to learn how to use it, the battery won’t stay on. I regret wasting my money on this

I've been using the Hohem iSteady M6 for several months and wanted to share my overall experience.

Product Performance:
The AI tracking works smoothly, the stabilization is excellent, and the build quality feels professional. It's been reliable for my content creation needs.

Customer Service Experience:
I had occasion to contact Hohem's support team with a technical question, and they were responsive and professional. Their communication was clear and they handled my inquiry efficiently.

Overall Impression:
The M6 delivers on its advertised features, and knowing there's solid customer support behind the product gives me confidence in the brand.

Recommendation:
Would purchase from Hohem again based on both product quality and company professionalism.

Lucky me. I bought a Hohem isteady M7 from a online seller. It worked for a week then suddenly something unusual happened. I thought there was a ghost. My Gimbal sudden turns on then off repeatedly.
I turned it on with my phone connected. Everything seems ok. When I powered it down, the behavior repeats.
What might be happening. The firmware is updated.

Today, seems like my Gimbal is back to normal. I just let my phone on it for the whole night. The battery went down to 50% and it does not power on and off by itself now.

Very poor experience found delivery insurance of some type added despite not selecting and one of the three items I ordered was omitted from my order. Avoid

I love the Hohem M7 it is brilliant, the only issue with the Hohem App is that it doesn’t allow you shoot video in cinematic, I hope Hohem with change this going forward- it means I have to bypass the app for high quality videos and then loose the functionality

I have made 2 orders with hohem and I experienced no issues whatsoever. For accessories that are not readily available the delivery was pretty good. Excellent advice on dispatch, transit etc. The quality of the products is very good and there are lots of helpful YouTube videos by hohem sponsored geeks

I've already tried other brands.
But Hohem is way ahead!
The equipment, like the gimbals, is great and works wonderfully.
Customer service is very responsive, and I've never been disappointed.
The website is well designed and the store is well organized. Plus, there are frequent promotions and discounts.
You should add that there's a large online community that helps each other out and shares.

Having used a lot of HOHEM's products I have been very satisfied with them all. They have great production quality and the y perform flawlessly every single time. Definitely recommended!!!

Hohem iSteady Mobile Plus Kit, Smartphone Gimbal Stabilizer i have purchased above. But not able to connect or fix external mic. Droidcam camera not sync. So many issues. Otherwise ok.

Them, I bought 2 items from their website with the alleged purchase insurance and stated to protect order in case of not arriving as described loss or stolen. and they sent completely different things, when i reached out to customer service they refused not only a return but also a refund and went on their website to change the policy. But I had already screenshoted it, what disgusting scammers.

I did a lot of research before getting my first gimbal, and the Hohem M6 is hands down the best professional gimbal, especially for Android phones. The 4k/8k 60fps support is something you will rarely find in other competitor's camera apps. The fact that you can use tracking with your stock camera app is such a key thing to have! Filming dynamic shots or creating cinematic content, it delivers buttery smooth footage every time.

Later on I got the iSteady V3 to keep a more compact gimbal in my pocket, again, has all the features of tracking and with same level of stabilisation. I would recommend Hohem gimbals without a second thought to anyone who is planning to make cinematic videos and content.

As for the service provided by brand, that is as good as their product. Had an issue with my M6, when it caught some rain, they were quick to respond and provide with service.

I bought my first smartphone gimbal in December 2024 from Hohem, model iSteady M7. It is a fantastic product that increases the quality of my videos. With a little practice, you can make cinematic shots that previously required very expensive equipment. The only limitation for good videos is your own imagination. In their app, Hohem Joy, there are guides that help you start thinking cinematically.

LEARN
They have good videos on their website that show how to handle a gimbal and also a manual. When I look in different forums, it is clear to me that many people do not read the manual or watch these videos before using their gimbal.

THE COMPANY
It is a completely new model so I was prepared for updates, as always from companies that are constantly developing their products, and this was no exception. I noticed that the battery lost power even when my gimbal was turned off, but after contacting their support, they sent an update that solved the problem. The support in their own forum on Facebook is fast and concrete.

FINALLY
On their website there is a list of phones that are compatible with the iSteady M7 and some are really expensive. I personally have a Samsung A55 5G and it was not on the list but it works perfectly with both my gimbal and the company's app, Hohem Joy.

I recently got the Hohem iSteady M6, and I am beyond impressed with its performance! The stabilization is incredibly smooth, making my videos look super professional. The AI tracking works flawlessly, keeping the subject in frame even with fast movements.

The build quality feels solid and premium, yet it’s lightweight and easy to carry around. The battery life is also fantastic, lasting through long shoots without any issues.

Overall, Hohem has done an amazing job with the iSteady M6. Highly recommended for content creators and anyone who wants to take their mobile videography to the next level!

2024 I decided to invest in Hohem M6 as my birthday present for myself as I kickstarted my vlog n content creation journey.

M6 + Brief case handle didn’t disappoint!!
So easy and comfortable to use.
Shortly I add Mic 01 and RGB LED Light panel to my gear. Both were soooo useful and easy to use.

Above’s exceptional user experience is becos 2020 I invested in the then “best gimbal” Zhiyun Smooth 4 gimbal.
When I compare both, Hohem wins hands down!!!

Zhiyun Smooth 4 was soooo different to use for a new user. It’s left brand new-like in my box for 4yrs.

Hohem have once again over delivered in my opinion.

I love the brighter built in RGB light and AI tracker. I have many different use case scenarios for my M7 and it didn’t disappoint at all.
✅cover events to create highlight videos
✅track myself when I conduct trainings
✅doing talking head video contents
✅cover and record my partners conducting trainings while I sit down as a student myself, the M7 removable remote control is magical!!

So with above said, how can one not fall in love in Hohem!!

True there are some negative reviews, but often it’s due to new users failed to master the gimbal basic first hahaha

Yup there are some built quality related reports, but maybe I’m a gentle user who takes good care of my gear like new so they last very well for me.
My friend who inherited my M6 commented “it’s like brand new condition Mav!!”

Last very important point that won me over as a Hohem Fan, it’s the human touch from a tech company. I have never experienced that kind of warm touched tech support before.
If you are in Hohem fb groups, you will know these 2 amazing ladies, Mia and Cynthia.
