WWII day
We have enjoyed another superb WWII day led by Gareth. The resources he brings really do allow the children to explore so many areas on learning and the fact that they can be hands on with each artefact makes such a difference. The class thoroughly enjoyed being ARWs during the outside activity and the first aid session was also a big hit. Gareth’s manner with the children, however, was what made the day. His knowledge is incredible, but the way he shares this with children is engaging, more than appropriate for their age, and inclusive of prior and anticipated learning. A simply brilliant day!

Stone Age
For the past few years we have had a different actor come and visit and so typically we are unfortunately comparing. The resources were great and the archery was enjoyed the most, however, the person who visited this time lacked enthusiasm and less humour. We always enjoy the day and will continue to book.

Thank you for your feedback and for continuing to book with Historic Workshops! We’re pleased to hear that you enjoyed the resources and that archery was a particular highlight. We appreciate that having a different workshop leader can make the experience feel different from previous years, and we’re sorry that this visit didn’t quite have the same level of enthusiasm and humour you’ve come to expect. We take this feedback on board as we continually strive to deliver engaging and memorable experiences for the children.
Tori - Stone Age Workshop

Everything was explained so clearly and all of the activities planned were engaging, interesting and accessible for all children and really enhanced their learning of the Stone Age. We hope to have this workshop again next year. Thank you!

The day was packed with a wide range of engaging activities across both the morning and afternoon sessions, keeping everyone interested throughout. Every activity was inclusive meeting the needs of our children, making sure everyone could take part. The archery session was a particular highlight and was thoroughly enjoyed by the children.
