I am very very pleased with my purchase of the Journe Gown. The material is very high quality and the fit is absolutely perfect. I would highly recommend ordering from this company as I have ordered many costumes and this has by far been the best quality product I have ever received.

the skirt was perfect, but the top could use some improvement. the string sent to be used for the top made the top look cheap, I had to replace it.

These guys were FAST with their shipping, especially with it coming from overseas.. I would have expected a 2 week period, but NOPE! i had my items in 5 business days. The only negative would be the online ordering was screwed up. i ordered a pair of boots and paid, only to have the (very nice and accommodating) rep contact me saying the size I ordered and paid for were actually on back order. they offered a different size and of course a change in order if i needed, but i said i need those boots now and will look elsewhere and they sent a refund in a snap.

I've been to a lot of renaissance websites to look for good quality clothes and found this site we are having a renaissance wedding and couldn't be happier with the costume we bought off the historical clothing realm!!!

I originally ordered the Baron's Tunic in a size S/M as the website showed was available when placing the order and receiving order confirmation. Unfortunately, the tunic was not available in this size and I had to accept the larger size. I altered it only losing some of the material at the edges and the quality was great. However, I was additionally disappointed when the black High Boots Without Fringe were unavailable in the size 10 I asked for. I had to settle for the brown in the size 10, although again, the quality of the boot was certainly satisfactory and comfortable. I like what the site has to offer and would love to do more business with them, but am disappointed that for each item I've ordered thus far, I've had to accept an alternative size or color, OR was told I'd have to wait several weeks for the item to become available even though the website seems to indicate that the sizing and color options are available.

I love the swashbuckler coat that we bought for my husband - it's a great look and very good quality for the price, but I was very disappointed that the boots that I ordered for him ended up being out of stock. I was able to order them, but then was notified by email that they were backordered and wouldn't be in stock in time for our event. In my opinion, it's bad service to let someone order something that isn't available. Hopefully ordering improves to match the quality of the product being sold.

I ordered a breastplate and helmet. The breastplate is great. The helmet won't fit on my head. I have a 7 1/2 hat size, so it's not as though I have a giant head. There was no way the steel helmet was going to go on my head. I called them about returning it, but I was informed that they won't refund my shipping, they won't pay to have it shipped back, and they charge a 15% restocking fee - all of this for a one-size-fits-all product that absolutely does NOT fit all. It's not like I had the chance to ask for a large or extra large helmet. You just order the helmet - no sizes to choose from. And when you get it and it won't go on your moderately-sized head, you are stuck paying for shipping both ways and for a restocking fee.

Great company to deal with, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The products are good quality and great workmanship. Good value for your money. They got my full vote. Will definitely shop there again the next time I need/want something. Keep up the good work folks. You are much appreciated.

I was on a very short time frame, and Twyla couldn't have been more accommodating helping me change my order so that I got the perfect dress in the perfect amount of time. The dress looks just like it was pictured, is well made and fits perfectly as well.

It's rare to find a tri-corner hat that doesn't look hokey and fake. Historical Clothing Realm has come up with a comfortable hat that also looks authentic. The texture and coloring give it a feel that reminds one of the original. I think you're gonna love it!!

I purchased a leather viking helmet. This product is made of the highest quality materials and workmanship. I am very impressed. The helmet goes perfect with my costume!!

I ordered a dress having read reasonable reviews. The dress was not even close to my size. I called to find out how I can exchange it as I actually liked the dress. The representative was very helpful & told me she would email the form. She didn't. Two days later I sent an email. No response. Two days later I called several times & left messages. No response. I then went to the website and emailed via there, expressing my frustration and lack of follow up. I did get a reply asking for my details, that I had already given them. There was not one word of an apology, explanation or acknowledgment of poor service. I will not use this company again.

I will recommend this site to my friends and family.
