This was one of the best purchases I have made. This clothing exceeded my expectations and was superior quality. My wife and I do the ren fest every year I can't wait to show it off

I was pleased with the garment I ordered from Historical Clothing Realm. They were cheaper than their competitor's website. I only recommendation would be better close up shots of the items with a more detailed description of the item like the available sizes and color options.

Very good help with sales due to on-line chats with sales...helping you with your questions. Some problems with packaging of my item and it was damaged during shipping. Customer service and shipping personnel very helpful and responsive.

I excitedly opened my package and the frogue had a strap with a missing bolt. I have say I wasn't to thrilled.

Shipping was faster than I expected and the belt was perfect!

I ordered the five hoop farthingale boned with steel. It arrived on time with the 3-day shipping and is made out of high quality materials. No elastic or fiddly drawstrings here! The waistband was true to size and very easy to adjust by sliding the sturdy cotton webbing though the plastic buckle. It was a bit long on me, but the hoops slid out easily to alter the fabric. It would have been helpful to know the length of the farthingale before buying. The ends of the hoops are secured only by being overlapped in their channels, not snapping together with buckles as I believed they would be based on the written description. The fabric of the farthingale is much less gathered over the hoops than the picture suggests. Overall I am very happy with the service and quality of the product. A better photo of a person actually wearing the farthingale, along with more detailed dimensions and detail shots, would be very helpful for future customers.

I bought this shirt to wear to the Texas Renaissance Festival this upcoming weekend. I read the reviews and decided it would work with my Pirate outfit (the word costume isn't appropriate). The shirt arrived within a few days and is absolutely beautiful and flattering. I am wearing a corset over it and when I modeled it for my husband, I thought his eyes were going to explode. I was initially upset when the other couple we are going to the TX Ren Fest told me that they bought costumes to wear - but then I found this shirt - and it has inspired a great outfit. When I showed it to my friend who had already bought their costumes, she said "I'm going to have to step up my game". I can't wait for the TX Ren Fest!

Made my choice and it arrived earlier than I thought. Tried on the clothing and it fit superbly. Very pretty material.

I'm always skeptical about the quality of an item online and nervous about what it will be once I open the box. This item looked great online and was actually better than I expected once I received it. Great quality! Since it is one size fits all, it is a little long but simple adjustments made it work for me (I'm 5'11"). I would highly recommend this item to anyone.

I ordered a LARP scabbard with belt loops for a small dagger. My order arrived quickly and in good condition. I was impressed by the quality of the leather and fur lining inside. Very good looking, as well.

All of my dealings with HCR have been satisfying. I returned the first thing i got, no questions, no hassles. I took store credit and soon used it. Everything came quickly and in good form.
I have seen items I bought here for sale other places at three times the price.

I received my Sword holder On Wednesday the 28th of October. The rivets used to hold the leather straps on were so poorly attached that they came off in my hand. I actually had to make repairs to this right out of the bag since I needed it for Friday and had I had time I would have returned it and found another supplier.

On a positive note though the pirate belt I ordered was as it was advertised and worked well.

I absolutely adore these products. My only complaint is that I measured myself multiple times prior to ordering to ensure the pieces would fit properly. Unfortunately there are very few "sizing charts" scattered through this website that I used as a best guess at what size would fit me. Upon trying on the pieces, they just were so large! I would recommend buying smaller than your measurements for a chemise, and the gown. My measurements are 42.5 bust/40 waist/42.5 hip, So I got the L/XL, and I was drowning in material. I decided to take it to get a custom fit to my exact size for my next Faire event. Other than sizing, it was a quick ship, perfect material, and look! Thanks!

Even though I followed the websites direction as to where I needed to measure before purchasing this dress, it was too big. The prompt delivery of the product was appreciated

I ordered a small buckler for use in SCA "cut & thrust" combat. It arrived promptly. Good price, good quality, fast service. What's not to like?
