I found exactly what I needed really fast. There was a diagram of the hinge with all of the hole measurements, which was really important, since they are replacement hinges.

I found what I needed but when I called…

I found what I needed but when I called to get information on the item, the details I got on AI were not accurate. Additionally, upon checkout, the items that prior customers rated were from different SKUs. Incorrect information provided included hinge finishes and “colors” available. I’d much rather have been given the option of speaking with a real person instead of the overly polite, but inaccurate AI guy.

Thank you for taking the time to share this feedback. We’re glad you were able to find what you needed, but we sincerely apologize that some of the information provided by our AI assistant was inaccurate. We take product accuracy seriously, particularly with details such as finishes, colors, and specific SKUs, and we appreciate you bringing the issue with reviews appearing across different SKUs to our attention as well.

We also completely understand your preference for speaking with a real person. Under normal circumstances, our team is available to personally assist customers with product questions. Unfortunately, our area was devastated by tornadoes this week, and we have been without power for the past several days. This severely limited our ability to answer calls and assist customers as we normally would, and as a result, we had to rely more heavily on our AI assistant to help customers during the outage.

While those circumstances explain why you encountered the AI assistant instead of one of our team members, they don't excuse inaccurate product information. We will be reviewing the issues you identified so we can improve both the information our AI provides and the way customer reviews are associated with individual products.

We are a family-owned business that has been serving customers for more than 20 years, and having knowledgeable, real people available to help our customers has always been important to us. We look forward to getting our team fully back online as our community recovers and power is restored.

Thank you again for your patience, understanding, and—most importantly—for bringing these issues to our attention. Your feedback gives us an opportunity to make the experience better.

These hinges hold up to welding

I used the 4'x4'x hinges to enable me to build custom hinges that are deeper than regular. I was able to weld a 1" extension on them to allow a shop entry door to swing flat against the inside wall. I didn't want to buy bigger hinges 4 1/2" x 4 1/2" and require a lot of chisel work on the door and casing. The hinges took the heat of MIG welding with no warping. The now 4" x 5" hinges painted matte black look factory made and fixed my short-swinging door. Nice heavy-made hinges guys, much appreciated.

Exactly what I needed

My hinge door stopper works great and was very easy to install, and no other hinge worked quite the way I needed it. Love that it’s adjustable.

Item as described

Item as described, unable to use for my application, tensioning of the closer is highly dependent upon ability to access the device. Which depends on your door hinge configuration. Perhaps in another application it will work better but not on an Anderson French door.

The screws I ordered were supposed to…

The screws I ordered were supposed to be for hinges, but they’re deck screws and won’t work.

Elizabeth, we do not sell deck screws. The screws you ordered are considered extra long hinge screws and are designed to drive the screw into the door jamb. The design is much different and the thread is built specifically for hinges. Feel free to call or email if you have any questions regarding these. help@hingeoutlet.com or 888-250-8133
