I visited H & T Pawnbrokers Watford High St
I had a small amount of scrap gold (broken rings/bracelets) that had been gathering dust in a drawer.
So browsed the internet for scrap gold price (i appreciate the price is not the same as on the high st)
Walked into town with a low figure in mind.
No complaints about the staff BUT £11 a gram for scrap gold is an absolute joke(although not a funny one)
Walked a few hundred yards up the road to a reputable jewellers Jacksons where they offered me £26 a gram .

They are helpful and very professional! I’m glad that I chose them!

The staff were extremely rude in the Darby shop , and the people there made me feel ashamed for pawning my belongings. I left feeling embarrassed, disrespected, and looked down on during the entire experience.

I went to H&T to sell my gold chains. I got a good price which I was happy with and the transaction was quick and simple.

I waited for days to receive a ring that rattles! Why would you send out a ring with a setting so loose it makes a rattling noise?
As per instructions I’ve sent it back recorded which cost me £10.95. The return process is archaic but they did refund my return cost so have updated a star.

Paid for a watch on the website, get the confirmation email saying “it’s yours” then 2 days later, “sorry we’ve had to cancel your order” I’m actually furious and cannot believe it like I am so so angry and paid over £1500 and now have to wait for it to be refunded, don’t advertise products on your website and then give people false hope. I was really really looking forward to it and they’ve just crushed it , not even a discount code or anything. So so disappointing and upsetting and unfair

You need, you accepted payment, sent confirmation, then next email was “sorry your order was cancelled”
For starters I think I know why you cancelled the order because you thought you should get more money for what it was marked up as even though it definitely is not worth £3000 which was the original price without discount - don’t need to reply to me because after this I am never , ever, ever using your company/website again and will definitely not recommend you to anyone either . The fact that I’m still getting emails asking me how my watch is and another one giving info on servicing the watch, that was cancelled and never arrived. Didn’t have box or papers either so good luck trying to sell it for £3k again once this has cooled down and forgotten about. Also I don’t appreciate apologies by A.I a person would be more preferred
