Don’t use this company, you will regret it!
I haven’t got long enough to write all I need to tell any prospective customers but the best advice I can give is ‘use any other company but this one’
Countless missed collections, no communication at all, excuse after excuse. Damaged my car 3 times, no apologies or recompense. Cancelled my contract but they conveniently forgot to cancel it their end. Contracts are not clear or accessible so you have to put up with their shocking service.
All good when you sign contract, it’s not until you hit a problem do you find out they are very poor at communication and trying to sort out issues, complete waste of time, dreadful service

Really great communication and accommodating of changes to contract before start date
Demi Sampson did a brilliant job of setting up our new business waste collection. All my questions were answered really swiftly, and in plenty of detail. She also managed to beat the price of our previous provider by quite lot too!

Minimal customer service
Invoice due date 14th June invoice paid 10th June, no service since, no advise of an issue. 9 missed collections that were paid for. No response to emails 22nd and 27th June, phone 3 times, no fault acknowledged, no returned call. This is who they are. 4 weeks of festering food waste and general waste. Brilliant.
Minimal customer service, great if you sit at a desk and can read emails all day, for a a small business owner not so great. Onerous contract terms, please be aware of rolling contracts that only give you a small window to terminate annually, subcontract waste removal and again only communicate collection issues via email.

The collection issues you reference were due to the account being on stop which was communicated by email. We understand that one of our advisers is in communication with you and has offered a prompt collection now that the account has been brought up to date.

Great company. I don't know what the bad reviewers are talking about! All they ask is that you put your bin out and pay your bill on time - pretty reasonable I'd say. Won't go anywhere else 😁

Terrible rude
Terrible, bin collector staff are polite but the office are non communicative, take forever to fix a problem and then say your in contract even though your not given the service they promised! Over flowing bin with no collection date organised x 3rd time in 2 months
I can’t reply to your response that you’ve edited after telling me on an email there was a tree overhanging to now telling me there were people in my lane. Yes there were men in the lane, that will move out the way like they did for everyone else needing access.
Thank you for calling me, to tell me your stopping my service as I’ve not paid and that I’ve also been waiting for a direct debit mandate, you accused me of making up my problems, it’s because your passed from person to person and know one is aware of the other conversation or the first problem before they say we will get back to you. With no response.
Your rude arrogant approach on the telephone, asking me a question then answering it for me and not letting me speak whilst I repeatedly said I was on school run you ignored my request to call back another time and then refused to collect my bin anyway!
What a professional way to solve a problem!!

This company is does not own any recycling vehicles subcontracting with Keny waste .
collection wise there is no program or dates provided ,mostly collecting after work hours like after 6 pm or early morning 5 till 9 in the morning .
so we had a contract with them we used to pay invoices upfront but we had to contact them 20 times to come once and the waste is by weight if heavy get charged .fedup cancelled our contract we had no choice .avoid them. if you want to get a contract Biffa is better they have their own vehicles you can book or cancel the dates you want online without messy phone calls 20 times to collect one time

With regard to communication, our team made every effort to support you. Despite these efforts, we encountered behaviour towards both our customer service team and collection staff that fell below the standards of respectful interaction.
On the matter of billing, any charges for excess weight and billing terms were clearly outlined, and all invoices were issued accurately based on recorded waste volumes. Transparency is at the core of our service, and we ensure that our pricing, collection schedules, and processes are always communicated clearly.

Very poor service.
This company, quick to have me sign contract to provide a skip. They then hire a third party company . They drop the skip off and told me all is fin, I load the skip . This bigger tipper turned up to pick the skip up and could not pick the skip that they drop off. They refused for over 3 months, sending out new contacts every other day for wheelie bins, I never ask for wheelie bins, but want me to sign for something that will not work for me. They then cancel the contact and now sending me invoice in full for termination of contact that they terminated because they failed to even pick the skip up once. The service from this company is very poor, . They have no control over their third party company. I had skip in the same place before and there was no problems moving the skip. They never survey the site , only put up a google maps photo.

To clarify, you originally requested an REL (Rear-End Loader) service, which differs from a standard skip and requires a specific vehicle for collection. This was explained at the outset, and when our team attended your site, it became clear that access restrictions—particularly parked vehicles—made it impossible to safely collect the container.
We made several attempts to work around these challenges and requested that the obstructions be cleared, but unfortunately, this was not resolved. To assist, we suggested a more suitable alternative, including a smaller skip and wheelie bins, which would have worked better within the available space. However, as the necessary contract for these services was never completed, we were unable to proceed.
Regarding your concern about the contract cancellation, we advised and made you fully aware of the terms of early contract termination, before you had requested this. We understand that situations like this can be frustrating, and we always aim to work collaboratively with customers to find practical solutions. We do ask that site access requirements are considered when arranging collections to avoid these kinds of issues.
If you’d like to discuss this further and find a resolution, we remain open to working together.

Wouldn't consider anyone else
Have been a customer of GWR for a few months now and they have been a pleasure to work with since the beginning. Before signing they clearly explained the different sizes of bins offered with typical use cases, tailoring a solution best suited for our business. Once on-boarded there were regular updates on when the bins would be delivered, when collections would commence and frequency. We've had a few queries along the way, and they have been very helpful and quick to respond. GWR are our first and only port of call for all things waste related.

Really good pricing and service
GWR have been servicing our charity's waste bin for well over a year now. Overall our experience has been great and the pricing is really good for small charities on a budget too!

I'm the Chair of the Academy Community Councillors at our local school and we needed a large pile of rubbish taking away after a big clear out over the summer holidays. GWR Waste Management were really helpful at advising on the size of skip we needed (their suggestion to get a bigger skip to begin with rather than need 2 small skips was very sensible) we were very grateful that they took away a large pile of unsightly rubbish in such a timely way.
