Helpful and direct contact. Cheerful operative who knew what he was doing, with appropriate kit (a vacuum-type cleaner, which was unexpected but obviously very efficient). It has yet to rain hard since the visit and the gutters havent been tested, but there is no reason to doubt the success of the exercise

Paid £461 for my conservatory cleaning. Sadly, my expectations were greater that what was delivered. I expected a detailed clean for this price.
Not unpleasant people but cant recommend on my experience. Our window cleaner could have done the same job for a third of the price

Having seen the response to my initial review, im left even more frustrated. You can dress this up however you wish, in the final event it was poor work. After the departure, i found countless areas that hadnt been touched, including the internal windowsill (still had dead insects there) and external dirty and smeared wundows. How you could assess the quality of work from a few pictures taken 8 foot away is beyond me. I only paid to avoid an unpleasant experience getting worse. I rarely leave poor reviews but felt a need here to warn others. Nothing I have published is in any way incorrect or exaggerated. Anyone from the company is more than welcome to call and view the work

As you know we have had several phone conversations prior to you leaving this review.
I'll stick to the facts, so that we can have some clarity. Your wife contacted us back on the 22nd July after a friend of yours recommended our services.
After speaking to your wife on the 22nd July we quoted a price of £461 inc. VAT to clean the outside and inside of your large conservatory, this quotation was accepted by yourselves and booked in for the 10th August.
We arrived at 8.45am to carry out the work, and 10.58am I had my first phone call from your wife to say that she was working away in London but you were at the property and was not happy with the work being carried out. The basis of the complaint was that we took 6 hours to do your friends conservatory and that my team doing yours would not be there the same amount of time, so was unhappy with the price. I immediately called you to discuss your concerns.
I explained that we don't charge by the hour, but by the conservatory, regardless of the time it takes. You see, every job is different, and we stay until the conservatory has been cleaned, and your fixed price would still have remained the same. You mentioned that you would expect us to polish the conservatory for the money you were paying. All details of the job were emailed over with a schedule of works and we completed everything on that schedule of works, in addition to this to try and go the extra mile we cleaned your soil stack and pipes which were nothing to do with the conservatory that we were there to do.
The job took us a total of 3 hours and 20 minutes which is about average for the package selected, it was disappointing that you complained about the job an hour before we were finished, but obvious to me the issue is not the final finish but your expectations that we would be there for 6 hours.
The other issue we had is that you did not allow us to use the chemical that we would normally use on your roof as you were concerned about it being detrimental to your Pilkington self cleaning glass.
I have seen the photos of the work and am happy with the quality of the clean, I think the main issue is the price, which you agreed to almost 3 weeks prior to the work being carried out. I appreciate we came highly recommended, but perhaps next time it would be advisable to get 3 comparable quotations, and make your decision on which one you feel is best value for money prior to booking.
After all is said and done, we are constantly looking to improve in both the way we work on site and our communication before and after the work is carried out, so I will review our processes for conservatory cleaning and see if we can add some more clarity in regards to managing customers expectations.

Completed online form and booked a slot…
Completed online form and booked a slot for following day, it was for my parents who do not live locally. Received a call the following morning to go through the quote to be told it was a bigger job and would cost more…fair enough. Told someone would call between 3-5 to re estimate so we made the journey awaiting arrival. No one turned up at all nor did they answer the telephone so message left. Call received late that night and situation deteriorated thereafter. Proprietor wanted to ‘pass the buck’ to another company and then walk away. Absolute awful service and complete lack of customer care or responsibility. On the website states they gave operatives in Yorkshire, they do not, they sub let.

Hi Paul, firstly, I would like to take this opportunity to apologise for your experience.
Our online quotation tool is completely accurate and was built for transparency, unfortunately, on this occasion there was not correct information added in regards to the scope of the work, namely the number of gutter runs and obstructions not specified. It does work both ways though, we always do a remote survey and in some cases where customers have over specified we reduce the cost accordingly.
It was agreed on this occasion that as our Approved Contractor that covers your area works from either a ladder or a cherry picker, we would take a look at the job in person and come and do a survey, which we booked for the afternoon. Most of our guys use a vacuum system, but this particular operative works in a different way, and this particular job was not suitable for ladders. He agreed to take a look for me though the following day rather than reject the job.
I’m really sorry that he couldn’t get to that afternoon, and he failed to let me know this which is unacceptable. Your wife did call and left a voicemail on my mobile number just before 6pm. Unfortunately, the office was closed at this time and I was attending a family matter so didn’t pick the message up until around 8.30pm. I called as soon as I received your message, apologies that it was late, but I wanted you to know straight away that I was looking into things and hoping to get things resolved.
I would like to set the record straight though. After speaking to the operative who expressed that the job was out of his remit, I did offer that although we would not be able to carry out the work, I suggested putting you in touch with a local firm that could help you with the gutter cleaning, I was not looking to ‘pass the buck’, but only offered this as a way of making amends for the fact that we let you down the previous day, so to say we don’t have our own people and ‘sub let’ is unfair, especially as we would have gained no financial advantage for doing this and it was simply offered as a solution to ‘offer some help’ in your main goal which was to get the gutters cleared.
We have over 17 operatives that work for us day in, day out, but just like any business, we sometimes struggle with personel in certain areas, we always try and react to these situations in a positive way, and over the last 3 years we have maintained a 99% attendance and satisfaction rate.
I appreciate this review though, as it allows us to review and improve on what we are doing in certain areas.
Again, apologies for letting you down, and I hope you find a contractor that can carry this work out.

Well mannered and friendly operatives. Gutters were cleaned out thoroughly and facias too to the best possible standard for their age (gutters, not operatives), however, you may need to book your window cleaner in for the day after as the windows & sills looked like they had been pebbledashed with gravy

Couldn’t fault the service received, from booking online to getting my gutter and fascia cleaned, all was faultless. Mike turned up on time ans you could see he was experienced in what was needed. The tools used were superb and the end results were exactly what I wanted. Would definitely use this company again.
