Kia are a shambles at pontypridd, take an age to answer the phones and when you do get through their staff are miserable and rude.
Do not be fooled by the 7 year/100,000 mile warranty, its a load of rubbish! they just hide behind paperwork and refuse to help when a kia part fails . Avoid at all costs

Kia Treforrest where to start after losing my confidence with kia on my previous car i met a lovely young man named Ashley on the sales desk of kia we got into a discussion about my previous experience and assured me this will never be the case again we then discussed the two vehicles i was interested for Ashley to recommend the kia EV4 after a very well clued up salesman i bit the bullet and bought the Kia EV4 it was ordered for the middle of march as this vehicle had to be made with Ashley giving me a constant update on my vehicle even to the time the vehicle was going to be made then taken to the ship then arriving at Kia Trefforest Ashley then called me to bock my collection time and date on collection day Ashley took me around the car went through everything i needed to know and more is knowledge of every kia vehicle is absolutely second no none how he presents himself and even is dress code is impeccable i have had my car for 1 week now and i must say this car as wowed me and impressed me in every way possible Kia please look after this gentleman he's an asset to your company believe me i was a lost customer to becoming a kia owner once again Ashley take care i will see you when its time to renew that i promise thank you for recommending such a wonderful car everyone get down to kia treforrest and buy your new car you wont be disappointed highly recommended hsppy driving regards and many thanks

Booked a service for my Renault mobility car weeks ahead and arranged a courtesy car. Arrived at garage to be told no courtesy car available and to rebook for Thursday . So they think people have spare time and petrol money just to turn up and things aren’t arranged ? They were useless when my car broke down and took 8 weeks to fix it and they’ve not improved. Glad I won’t be dealing with them again

Shame I can’t give no stars. Absolute shambolic customer service. I’ve spoken to 3 different people from the service department and gave my name car reg and email. Asking for a price on a gearbox service which Peugeot state at 60k. Miles. And they haven’t got the decency to get back to me. I’ve even gone to the head office and still waiting. Give it a miss. I’ll give that 100 stars

As Griffin mill pigout have admitted in their response that the recall on the timing chain on my pigout 2005 diesel has not been done as I said total rubbish from Griffin Mill Pontypridd DONT BUY A CAR FROM THIS DEALER If you have a recall it won't get repaired unless you pay for it yourself.

Avoid if your car is out of Warranty.
I contacted Griffin mill in regards to an issue with my Gearbox as when I put it into 6th gear there was a crunch. I knew from having owned Kia Sportages previously that they do have issues with the synchronizer rings and it is a very common problem so I contacted my local dealer to make a appointment and arrange for them to have a look at it . I dropped the car off to them and they said they would contact me later in the day .. when i received a callback they agreed that 6th gear was as i stated crunching but could not give me a price they just told me that the gearbox would have to be stripped at a cost of £167.00 an hour and it will take 8 hours £1336 then after that they would investigate to see what the issue was and whatever needed would be extra on top potentially up to £4500 maybe more. I was willing to go with this stupidly but they could not offer me a courtesy car or give me a timelimit of how long it would take .. the last time on my previous Sportage it was 6 weeks ! I declined and said I would pick the car back up ...they then charged me £162 for them diagnosing that when you went into 6th gear it did indeed definitely crunch ...Cheers I knew that already!!... I will say that the Ladies on reception were nice but as for the company itself ...Please Avoid .

I’ve visited Griffin Mill this week to look at a Leapmotor. After going to numerous car garages prior to this, we were greeted by Seb who has been fantastic. His customer service has been outstanding, nothing was too much trouble for him, his knowledge of the brand and vehicles is faultless. Really refreshing to actually have a salesman that’s not pushy or arrogant. Best showroom experience in the 20years, he deserves positive recognition for his service.

I cannot fault the attention I received at this venue. I was not harassed by salesmen but one was always available in case of need.
A big thank you to Martin Baker for his patience and care and also to Rhian in finance for the explanations which gave me peace of mind.
Poor after service
Bought a used car Off Nissan Griffin mill, sales team were great, had a fault on the rear seat belt sensor, took it back & service manager said it needed a new sensor, I had a recall on the car, so decides to book it in for both jobs in to be done, when I picked it up I was given the keys & nothing was said to me, I started the car & the rear seat belt fault was still there, I went back in & was then told they would have to order a sensor, 2 months later I'm still waiting for the problem to be sorted, telephoned again today & was tolt they would contact me, this is the second time I was told this, Poor service

Exelent customer service from the Griffin mill representative Nik from start to finish explained everything to me and went above and beyond to help me get my car before Christmas i am very happy with the car

A complete lack of empathy from this garage.
No people skills and you as the consumer have to do all the chasing….
My car went in for a gearbox replacement under warranty in July 2024 and by December 2025 and less than 18,000 miles later it needs replacing again, only the garage state “there is nothing they can do” … This is despite me having to wait over 5 weeks for a diagnostic appointment and them letting me take it in knowing that they would not be willing to offer any gesture of good will towards the repair.
I completely understand that they offer a 12 month warranty on works carried out, and Jul 24 to Dec 25 is 15 months …. But we are talking about a brand new gearbox that has failed in 15 months and less than 18,000 miles. This is not a good look for the garage or the brand and has ultimately rendered me with a large repair bill with no real solution offered. I was shocked that given the circumstances there was no leeway or even any compassion shown.
When questioning the reliability of the parts I was told by the service receptionist that “some gearboxes go sooner than others” …. Really not impressed and quite frankly upset by this as 15 months ago I took my car to this garage in good faith.

Poor quality service From the Renault reception team.
For the second Renault service in a row I have clashed with the reception team, Car arranged for an AM service dropped of 0730, 1225 still not taken in to the workshop, They tried to carry out work I had not asked for this time.
Last service ,an A short service, wait for it to be carried out, dropped of 0800 after many complaint's I left the reception at 1530
Will not be using again.

Contacted their parts department 3 times over the last 7 days, no answer, linked in to their remote answer service, and promised a call back. never recieved, even after chasing up. total lack of respect for customer service would never use again , bought my car from the dealership and even they tried to pass off less than agreed and paid for, but that was resoved when i said i would take the car back for a full refund inder my consumer rights. my advice do not use,FULL STOP

There were a few hiccups along the way. Then Kia delivered an automatic when I'd ordered a manual gearbox.
If Kia had delivered a lesser, I wouldn't even have entertained looking at it. I was prepared to wait another 6 weeks for correct ordered car.
I've never thought about, sat in or driven an automatic before. So the driving experience was going to be totally different.
After some serious thought, I decided to test drive it that week and felt it wasn't as disastrous an error in the end as I'd first feared.
Yes a far more expensive car but if I hadn't got along with driving it, it would have been no.
I decided eventually to trade in my 12 year old for the new 'Picanto GT Line S Automatic' and all is going fine.
A company is only as good as their after sales and how they treat their customer.
Both Kyle and Stewart have treated me with respect and care and have been helpful throughout. When I eventually decided to buy the Picanto, Stewart was very quick to compensate me as much as he was able to for all the messing about .
The new calculated deal was a good and fair one.
In the end, when orders go wrong, there is no point shouting and losing your temper, the customer can walk away and the sale, lost. It is how a customer is treated when things go wrong that a company shows their true colours.
I'm now enjoying a whole new driving experience.
I feel that in my case, in the end, Stewart and Kyle both went above and beyond what I personally expected with old fashioned attitude of customer care comes first.
