Weird conversations. I called about insurance for my Focus. Guy on the phone kept telling me about lowering the car, something which I hadn't mentioned. They didn't phone me when we had agreed, and when I called them back they said they had found a policy but wouldn't give me any of the details. I didn't pursue it.

Adam phoned me the very next morning after I applied online to finalize my quote/policy. He was super helpful and within 10 minutes I was covered and everything was in place, outstanding service compared to previous company.

Was recommended by a friend when I bought my mk1 Octavia what was modified sort out quickly with in a hour that was back in 2023 the renewal came through a year later an was a little lower what was a nice surprise I'm looking forward to seeing what my renewal will be in September

I have insured my Nissan 370z with greenlight for the last 9 years and the prices are always fantastic, staff are friendly and knowledgeable.

Waste of time. These are a broker. They don't give instant prices and they do a credit check. Avoid.

By far the best experience I had when getting a new policy.

They beat the renewal price of the previous policy I had with a competitor by nearly 30%, and thats on top of the Greenlight policy being significantly better in every way.

I called to arrange insurance for an upcoming track day and it was sorted within 10 minutes.

The customer service has been great, every person I spoke to so far has been nice and had what I can only describe as a “let’s get this done” attitude which I appreciate, No faffing around and wasting time. 10/10

I had a really difficult start with these guys, after my online quote request went missing twice due to a system error at their end, my efforts to resolve the problem over WhatsApp were met with a cold response and the original review I wrote in exasperation wasn’t read or addressed properly until the 3rd attempt.

HOWEVER, in the end, they did apologise, they did produce a competitive quote and the broker was polite and professional, so I have decided to insure my car with them. I’ve upped my original review score from 1 star to 3 and I’ll amend it further if things go smoothly. The jury’s out.

Got my insurance policy at Ford Fair 2024. All the staff members were helpful, knowledgable and friendly with a particular shoutout to Beth who I mainly dealt with.

They gave me a good quote and even beat my previous specialist insurance broker by a nice margin. I received good communications at all stages and timely notifications were given to me for documentation required from me and their due dates. Systems was smooth and easy to use and overall made my whole experience pleasant.

Would recommend to all modified car owners.

If the attitude received while exiting a policy is anything to go by in the event of a claim, stay clear of Greenlight.

In more detail - I'm a customer of about 4 years with two active policies in place for some of that time. I wanted to cancel one pre-paid policy so that I could use those no claims on another vehicle. In the event of a policy cancellation the broker reserves the right to retain their 17.5% of commission, which massively reduces the amount returned but that's the contract you enter with a 'speciality' insurer. I wont begin to mention the insulting renewal offers..

I wanted to root for individual brokerages but not with this behaviour. I can only assume the bosses aren't treating staff as well as before.

Tried to get a quote from Greenlight about 5/6 years ago for a modified car, and the quote they gave me was a fair chunk more expensive than a competitor so I don’t give them my business. I’ve been blacklisted ever since, and every time I’ve asked them for a quote since they won’t quote me. Their prerogative, but would urge others to be wary of using them since you clearly only get one chance with them.

Filled a web form, selected the 'modification' from the dropdown as remap or something along the lines. Which loaded a page telling me to call them. I missed an initial call but got back to them and had a guy answer who wasn't shy about showing his frustration at my bad phone connection. Poor quality service. Eventually told me that they couldn't insure a simple remap because it isn't a significant enough mod. Fair enough if its made clear on the website, but I couldn't see it. Especially on filling the form out initially. Glad it led me to the one starts as I appear to have swerved this one.

Very impressed with my qoute from greenlight. All mods declared and forged engine included. Very happy with them. £200 less than last insurer. Well recommended for your pride and joy especially if it's modified. Thanks to the team at greenlight
