Overcharging a child

My daughter asked for single and presented her blue pop card and did not realise that she had been charged £2.50 adult single she had her collage ID around her neck what was visible
She did not realise until she was getting off what she got changed when asked the driver his response was not my problem leaving my daughter upset and worried discusting attatude.

There was a diversion on the X45 22.39…

There was a diversion on the X45 22.39 from Consett there was a water burst in Hamsterley ,The driver told us he was going to Shotley Bridge m then up Daisy Hill over the cross road to Medonsley .Totally missing out East Law and Ebchester ,so we asked to be dropped of at the cross roads at a safe point but he refuse saying it was against the law.My friend is 78 and a very bad walker and he had to get his daughter out of bed to take him home .As an old PSV driver i would pick and drop of people at the end of farm tracks etc ,if it was safe to do so but todays drivers are a different breed .Lets hope the same does not happen to him when he is old and infirm .

Buses not leaving on time

On the 4th September the 60 bus due at 07:34, driver turned at this time and did not leave Park lane till 07:38, spent this time doing something to ticket machine, its a joke some people if they late for work do not get paid really bad customer service, this happens a lot when buses are not leaving on time or don't even turn up all.

Don't get the bus often.

But on 16/8/25 I was waiting for the 49a at 11:24 which was fine nd them got off at metro Oasis at 11:44 in order to get on the 301 due at the same time due to earlier delays and despite getting to the bus stop dot on time t metro oasis the 11:44 301 bus just ignored me after putting out my arm and just drove past within seconds.

Highly disappointing considering it wasn't my fault the 49a earlier was delayed by 10 mins.

Complaint About Driver – Vehicle NK12 GDR (6051)

Date: 9th August, 2025
Time: Left Jarrow Bus Station at 8:01 AM
Route: Go North East –Bus 27 to South Shields
Vehicle Registration: NK12 GDR
Bus ID: 6051

I am writing to report the behaviour of the driver on the above service. Upon boarding, the driver was rude to a passenger and almost slammed the door on me while I was entering the bus. This conduct was unprofessional and made me feel unwelcome and unsafe.

I request that this matter be looked into and appropriate action taken. I have also heard from people that Go North East doesn’t ever take actions when their staff members are reported. If nothing is done about this, I am taking up a legal action.

Thank you for your attention.

This has to be the most unreliable bus company in the UK, the chances of the bus turning up at all is barely 50/50, spend an absolute fortune on taxis because this shower of a company cant do their jobs properly. Utter shambles.

Horrific

Horrific. If this is public transport you will NEVER tempt me out of my car. Stifling hot, cabin stank of exhaust fumes. Bus full of weirdos. Nowhere near enough room for a wheelchair user to get on and off. Worst 35 minutes I’ve experienced on any form of transport. Cattle get moved in more comfortable surroundings than this. Ruined a lovely afternoon in Newcastle. Taxi next time!

Never ever came on time

Never ever came on time. If it arrives on time there will be a stoppings(long time waiting even they don't have any passengers) in between. Though I have taken pass it's useless always need to book a cab for the work. One of the worst services in had ever seen in any other country. I had experienced this in no less than 100times

Just had an unpleasant bus driver shout at me to get off the bus because it was full, when I didn’t know - Go North East 56 bus. I looked up at the top, and it just looked like people were just sat at the window, I didn’t know. Not very nice “get off! The bus is full!” To which I responded “I didn’t know”

Absolutely terrible service

Absolutely terrible service. I arrived tonight at the bus stop in plenty of time, and the bus just drove straight past without stopping. I had complained about Go North East earlier this week, as the bus I was waiting for then didn't arrive at all. I'd hate to live in a place that had a worse bus service than this... assuming that's even possible. If I could have given 0 stars, I would have. I honestly can't believe there can be a worse bus company than these clowns.

Terrible company arrived at the bus…

Terrible company arrived at the bus stop dot on time bus driver had doors closed refused to open instead shook head and left, female driver stop number 21907 at 9;22 called to complain and the bloke on the line made excuses and said he would end the call for no other reason than I said that was a shit attitude. Honestly only reason I don’t give it negative stars is coz you can’t.

First time I’ve used buses in 10 years only coz cars in garage and I’ll never do it again I’ll rent a car rather than use this uncaring terrible company.

I preferred them all on strike !

Unreliable.

I decided to take the grandchildren on an adventure by bus to South Shields from Chester le Street (No. 50 Bus). 0934 did not turn up. I waited for 20 minutes, then decided to go by car. It's not as exciting for the kids, but at least it's there and cheaper.
I'll not bother again.

I have lost count how many times the…

I have lost count how many times the X30/31/32 service from Stanley to Newcastle does not turn up either at Stanley or Eldon Square, Newcastle. It is, without a doubt, the worst bus service covering County Durham, Tyne & Wear and Northumberland. There is never any communication on their app or social media platforms to notify about the cancelled service. I also use Arriva and they are much better. Just wish they had more services running in County Durham.

My son travels to Newcastle from…

My son travels to Newcastle from hamsterly mill and on a lot of occasions the bus is either late or not running, his marks at college are suffering due to late attendance, he’s been waiting over an hour today and was 10 minutes early for the bus.
It’s not the only route he has had to ring for us to collect him as he’s been stuck because the bus service has failed to turn up.

I am currently on the brink of losing…

I am currently on the brink of losing my job, because the 7:20AM 78 bus to Sunderland only shows up around 40% of the time.

When people rely on you (and give you money) to get to work, it is your job to be there as scheduled.

I cannot believe how appauling this service is, the cheek to get a pay rise and not show any improvement is beyond measure.

Drivers don’t stop…

Drivers on the 309 do not stop at the corner house, i think you need to train your drivers, unless you expect the passengers to run on the road in front of the bus for it to stop, once a driver accused me of not being visible while standing on the side of the road in a bus stop, blaming the customer

I was waiting for the number 52 bus…

I was waiting for the number 52 bus service, to Bell End Gardens. While waiting, I passed away, due to old age. I had written a message for the bus driver (when he eventually got there), to take me to Gateshead Crem. But the bus broke down and I never made it there. Not complaining though.

They don’t care about you, or the safety of the public

They’re not even worthy of 1 star but unlike their management team, I couldn’t go any lower. Training is a great experience, but couldn’t be any further from the reality of the job when you’re ’on your own’, and you’re absolutely on your own with no support from the management. All they’re interested in, is getting you to sign what they need, only to throw back at you when they want. I was coerced into being signed off far too soon, and despite telling them my concerns, all they’re interested needed was for me to be ‘in service’. Their fleet is not fit for the roads, and breakdowns are a daily thing. I only had two buses within 3 months that didn’t have any warning signs. They shouldn’t have a licence to operate.
