Nancy Tauber obviously knows the business. She instilled confidence all along the journey of this class. At no time during this study did I feel that anyone should feel belittled, ashamed or embarrassed about their knowledge, or lack thereof, of the pattern making process. I applaud her teaching method, as well as the fact that even while the class was a video, Nancy still conducted the study as though her students were right there in the room with her. Something that is sometimes difficult to do. Congratulations on a class well done!

Didn’t deliver on its promise
The online course was fairly well put together and enjoyable as such, but did not deliver on its promise.
I understood I would get to see the actual sewing and alteration techniques the ’Garment Surgeon’ uses, but the course only showed how to plan the alterations and how to pin prior to doing anything else. And it never went on to show the actual alteration being done.
I can find any number of great tutorials from talented professionals on YouTube, so will not be paying for GlowHigh courses again.

I liked that the course was straight forward. Not all of the video work was done well, but it wasn't horrid. Unfortunately, for me, i am still no closer to having a sloper as I am assymetrical and there isn't the information I was hoping to learn.

I have learned so very much from this course though I had previously completed a city and guilds course over 20 years ago and have several years of dress making and sewing experience. I didn't find the course particularly helpful and I wasn't happy I had to spend a lot of money to purchase a bodice block on top of the price of the course.

Sew Ready patternmaking course
I have done the Sew Ready Patternmaking course & went on to do the Bodice drafting course. I had been struggling with doing this for such a long time & these courses made it easy to make beautiful patterns that fit exactly how they should. I am slightly more than halfway through…
I am slightly more than halfway through the Alterations Master Course, and I find it thorough and interesting. I appreciate the start to finish nature of the alterations, and also learning how to take the measurements and pin for them. I have not had to do any of the more complex alterations yet, but I am taking more time in my personal sewing to do clean sewing and beautiful finishing.
