I traveled to Bali leaving from cairns . I wasn’t allowed to purchase a bottle of Jim beam bourbon because it was 1.125 liters not 1 liter .i wanted 2 1 in my wife’s name and one in my name.
They must have changed the rules I was told . I have never had an issue in Brisbane They explained that the rules have changed . So I put 1 back and said we would share 1 .
They said no because it was more than 1 litre . Rules have changed .
The only 1 litre bottles were premium brands so I’m not sure weather it was a way to up sell or the rules have changed . But be aware . Strange goings or not so clever marketing ploy
Or is just different rules from a different company

I was at Brindisi airport. My son accidentally made a tester bottle fall and it broke. The sales assistant first of all embarassed him in front of all the other customers (my son is 17) and then he made him pay for the bottle £39. The bottle was nearly empty and she made him pay full price! A tester!! It was only a tester! Ok that we would have paid, but not full price! And she was very rude to him as well. Plus he was being very careful but the lid of the bottle came of and the disaster happened. I am a sales person myself, I would have never embarass someone like that!

Was just charged £66 for a carton of cigarettes before a flight from London to Zürich. The correct price for duty free cigarettes is CHF46 for a carton, as evidenced by the price on the plane. All potential customers should be aware that Aelia Lagardere may not be charging "genuine" duty free prices.
29.04.26 I have received the following confirmation that the prices at London City duty free are considerably higher than the prices elsewhere.

Avoid! Unreliable! Nonexistent customer service!

Edit: Changed from 1 to 2 stars as I was contacted by the support and it was explained item was not available.

A bit of history. I order an item for airport collection. 2 days before the flight I received email that the order was cancelled. No explanation.

I prebooked perfume to collect at Luton Airport.

When I got there, the perfume had a sticker on it with a lower price than the preorder amount. But they went to charge me the higher amount as that was what was on the preorder.

I asked if I could cancel the preorder and just buy it as any customer would, which they agreed to.

But they would happily have charged me more if I hadn’t seen the sticker.

Advertise 3 hour collection service on ferries yet will not take an order placed a week prior to sailing as too short notice

The worst if the worst. They are liars . They selling you to many cigarettes, especially if you do not know, i asked how many im allowed and they said too many . And after i got stopped in the other airport and

Avoid at all cost to buy from them , They are absolutely scammer !!! I bought make up at London Luton airport worth £ 200 . I was double -charged . It’s been nearly 1 month and still waiting for my refund . Extremely exceptionally unpleasant customer service . The kielhs vitamin c I bought at Luton airport was brown instead of creamy colour, they are selling expired products , They are not taking any responsibility for “ stealing “ my money and selling expired make up ! Customer service including manager very rude , giving mislead information!

I bought a smart watch from the aelia duty free shop at Belfast airport. On getting home with the watch I found it didnt work. I tried to contact the company but despite numerous tries they just dont reply. There is no phone number listed on their website just a contact form. I wont be near belfast for another year so I cant do anything other than try and contact them.

i have purchased a perfume for my self on my way to my holiday (Narciso Rodriguez Musc Noir For Her) 73.90 British pounds and when i opened the perfume found the bottle atomiser is broken and half the perfume is gone complete waste of money for i have filled a dispute through my bank and i will never buy anything from them again total disappointment

Went to buy some perfume for my mother for Xmas but unable to offer any gift wrap despite Xmas decorations all over the shop. Walked away, will go to a proper shop.
