After discovering Erie Home had arranged financing through Powerpay for our Grandmother (80 years old) for the total of $88,000 for a 1,400 Square foot roof replacement and two car garage (11% interest) 15 year loan and fully maturing at $181,000 this includes the 10k fee for the loan. We immediately requested a recision of the loan via Power of Attorney( via certified mail, phone and email, within the recision period). We also asked for no more contact to the vulnerable adult and victim... sure enough they are still contacting her and directly as well trying to collect on the loan. Highly suggest proceeding with caution. They did however send me an email stating that I need to contact Erie Home regarding the loan revision. Yet Erie home indicates they are a third party and have nothing to do with the lender/finance portal. Absolute sham!!!

We had our roof installed through Erie Home, but the financing was handled by PowerPay — which was not clearly explained upfront.
PowerPay was extremely difficult to deal with. Their online system never worked, forcing me to call every month just to make payments, often with long hold times and dropped calls — and eventually pushing me into setting up automatic payments just to avoid the hassle.
I consistently paid more than required, yet the loan terms remained unclear. When I paid off the balance through my bank (which sent more than the quoted payoff), I was still told I owed additional money.
I paid the final amount under protest just to close the account and avoid any risk to my credit, not because I agreed with the charge.
Very frustrating experience overall. Lack of transparency between Erie Home and PowerPay made this much harder than it should have been. I strongly recommend getting all financing details in writing before agreeing to anything.

Tried to get help to get my t4 and other information after my former employer refused to talk to me. After calling several times i was told they cant do anything to help and I just have to have my former employer help me (which i cant contact).

PowerPay was fine up until November 2025. After that, the company simply stopped sending me statements. I understand many companies are moving away from mailed billing to cut costs, but I never received any notice—no letter, no email, nothing—informing me of a change.
I tried calling and was placed on a wait list, but no one ever called back. When I tried again days later, the automated system still said I was in the queue. I also sent emails and never received a response. Fortunately, I was able to log in online and continue making my payments, but even then, my questions went unanswered.
Because of this complete lack of communication and customer service, I have to give PowerPay a rating of 1 star. If zero were an option, that would be more accurate.

These people are awful!! Useless, unhelpful customer service. You wait forever, then they hang up. I have been told they are transferring me to “someone who can help” then the call disconnects. I have requested that anything I pay over the payment due to be applied to the principle. They did that for a few months then reverted back to simply stringing out the due date. Good luck getting them on the phone to dispute this. A month later, they might return your email with some nonsense that does not answer your question.

I was having a problem trying to sign up to pay my invoice online. When I called Powerpay I was amazed to learn they had personnel working on Sunday. I was told an individual would be able to assist me with my problem and would call me back in 5-10 minutes. Within 5 minutes my phone rang and I was introduced to Mary Dy. When we started, she wasn't aware that she was dealing with an 80 year old man who is a little slow working with computers. I figured if my grandson was on the phone this would have been a quick 15 minute call. Working with me on the phone for an hour Mary was great, patient, kind and understanding. I wasn't exactly a former Apple executive on leave. I just wanted this company to know how appreciative I am of dealing with a company that has individuals like Mary representing them. She deserves not only some recognition, but I believe a financial consideration would be warranted! Please tell her Mr. Marcus says thanks and she even knew it was my birthday in a few days! That's an employee I would have loved to have in my company.

High interest rate despite great credit (810+), confusing and drawn out loan process, discrepancies in billing/statements debits and credits: a payment was debited from our account and then did not reflect on our statement. Website interface is not user friendly, requesting multiple logins and not allowing access once finance is complete. Very sketch from beginning to end (2024-2026).

This company has an F rating with the BBB. They attempted to charge me interest prior to a 12 month interest free period ending. Subsequently they made the first payment due after the end of the 12 month period so that I would incur interest prior to the first payment. No mention of the interest free end date was on any of my statements.

I had a pool loan serviced by this company, which I paid off on NOV 12, 2025. I made a payment in the amount of $50,421.00, however the amount owed was 49,600.73 therefore I am owed a credit balance refund. I have tried messaging and leaving voicemails and no one is getting back to me. It's been several weeks since the 4-7 weeks I was told initially that I had to wait for this refund to be issued. There is no way to communicate with customer support and the various numbers I have called lead back to the same Unified Messaging.

An Erie Home representative came to my house after I called them for a leaking roof damaged by a snow storm. When they said that I needed a new roof, I panicked because I did not have the money available to do the work needed. PowerPay came to my rescue at a time of uncertainty. After the representative assited us with a credit application, my husband and I were approved instantly. Ann A. From PowerPay also made sure to follow up with me to confirm my loan terms and my need. She was very professional and made my overall experience a pleasant one. Thank you PowerPay for turning my unfortunate situation into a great story.
