8 months ago I travelled to Istanbul Turkey where I put my health first and got the gastric sleeve done. In 8 months I have lost 46kg. I went from a size 22 to a 14. The most incredible journey I have ever been on. I can’t speak highly enough of the team at Galya health. The staff were amazing. The hospital was amazing. Thank you so much for the most amazing experience of my life. I finally got my health back ❤️

I recently had gastric surgery at Galya Health and I was impressed with the entire experience. From the moment I arrived, Senem, Sadek, Malis and the entire team were absolutely fantastic, professional and clear communication. This made my journey completely stress-free and seamless.

Senem and her team were amazing. She made sure that we had all the information before we left Wellington NZ. Going into a unfamiliar country, all we had was txt messages from Senem to keep us informed. I thank God for his blessings and travelling mercies that got us to Instabul safely. When we arrived at airport, we just trusted the information that Senem had given us. Our driver picked us up and we were on our to the hospital and the rest was history. Our pre-op checks were done and it was such a thorough process and quite fast. Next day I was in the operating room. After the operation the nurses were amazing, although little english yet they looked after us and made sure we were well looked after. Now we are back home its a massive RESET for me and wife. Learning to be more healthier and looking after ourselves. Thank you again to Senem and her team as well as all the doctors and administrations for helping us and giving us another shot at living a better and healthier life. I had gastric sleeve surgery with Galya Health and everything went very well. Very efficient, professional, communication was very clear, and everything was stress free. One word - Amazing ! You won't ever have to worry when u touch down in Turkey. Beautlful Senem and her team Sadik and Malis connect with you from the first day b4 u leave home, when you land to when you fly out. From flash airport transfers to meeting you at hospital and giving you the run down every day. Surgeons were great and checked on you everyday, nurses are top tier, the girls- Ursla and her crew, Zalel (Ariana grande), Ezra, Ishkur, Siman and all the rest I missed their names. They made you feel so looked after and comfortable, and the gorgeous cleaner Ismim Hatun, hands down the best ! Thank you Galya health for making the whole experience less stressful and looking after me like family. 1wk post op gastric sleeve and I'm loving it all. Teşekkürler

I had my gastric sleeve surgery at Galya Health on the 15th of September. My husband and I traveled from Aotearoa (New Zealand) to Istanbul, Turkey, transfers from airport to hospital were planned out wonderfully, at the hospital we were warmly received by Ahmed, who arranged my admission and kindly guided us to our room. We also had the pleasure of meeting Malice and Saadik, who were very supportive in helping with translations and pre-operative tests. They frequently checked in on us and promptly assisted with anything we needed.
The doctors and nurses were professional, caring, and friendly, and even the lovely cleaner, Hatun, went out of her way to make us feel comfortable. This entire experience was made possible thanks to Senem, who I first contacted via WhatsApp, and who coordinated everything seamlessly.
I am truly grateful to the whole Galya Health team for their support, kindness, and professionalism throughout this journey.

Galya Health made the whole process so simple and stress free for myself.
From all the VIP transfers to the hospital and hotel (the Lionel hotel is spectacular by the way).
The communication between Galya and myself have been so clear and very quick to return a message even with the time difference between Turkey and New Zealand.
I can not fault anything from Galya and that’s my honest opinion.
I will recommending Galya for sure.

I travelled to Istanbul Türkiye from Auckland NZ in a big group through a health system in NZ called Niu You, and had the Sasi Bypass at Galya health in late August 2025. Senem and her team looked after us and honestly the hospital care was absolutely amazing. If you have a support person, they have a sofa bed in your room for them to sleep on and they too get fed at the hospital at no extra cost. The entire process was efficient and simple. Highly recommend! My experience there was 5 stars all round! Thank you Galya health for a positive experience and to our surgeons for changing our lives for the better. Blessed! Maki x

Hi my name is Itutaua Suliana Van Ooyen, I chose to go with Galya Health as a family member of mine had been through it before. Everything she said was exactly the same that I got. Senem was always in communication with me leading up to the day and even during it. All the instructions of where to be when you land etc went without a hitch. We were picked up and taken to the hospital, cared for straight up to when we left and enjoyed every moment of it. Senem, Sadek, the surgeons, nurses, the staff and the cleaners were so hospitable. So many have walked those floors to better themselves and doing something for their health and wellbeing and I’m glad I got to be one of them too. I booked through whatsapp. From the moment I equired about surgery, Senem always kept in contact. When I landed she had my trasport organised. I met Sedeq & Ahmed as soon as I arrived to hospital and one of them was always close by 24.7 during my hospital stay.

Senem, Sedeq & Ahmed were wonderful, they connected me with another New Zealand traveller & her partner who were on my ward which made me feel at ease as i was solo. The nurses cared for me very well and always made sure I was ok. This level of care and kindness will never be forgotten.

Senem made the whole booking experience a breeze. Once I sent her my information, she replied quickly with details about airport pick up etc. We arrived into Istanbul this August, and it was so easy. She set everything up for us. Our pick up from the airport was easy to find. We settled well into the hotel and she allowed me pick my dates of my procedure.

Once we got to the hospital after spending 4 days sightseeing she was with us throughout the experience of testing, pre op and all.

She is very friendly, and quick at responding. I highly recommend going with Galya health, they looked after me well. I recovered very well, and was discharged back to my hotel. Senem has remained in contact even now that I am home in NZ.

I highly recommend and would go back if I ever want another procedure.

Right from the get go Senem was incredible. The communication was great. Organising everything was very easy. Senem & Sedeq are great people and made the experience very comfortable. The nurses and surgeons were all very professional.

The pre op testing is very thorough which was great.

I loved meeting other New Zealanders on the ward, it made it feel a little more at home.

Overall our experience was good, we have no complaints about anything! The hospital was great. The cleaners were lovely. We are very happy that we chose Galya Health to start our new walk of life.
