I bought £1500 sofa, last year. They told me to pay £150 for their cleaning service with Gaurdsman. My kids had a water mark on the sofa last week , I submitted a claim which was not very straight forward, instead of someone fill the form I had to do it myself. And then after submitting the claim they said they are going to send WIPES and still I have not receive them and most probably the stain is not going be removed after a week of delay.
This is awful service waste of money. It would be cheaper if I asked someone local to come and clean the sofa and they would have come within one or two days.

I’ve had my sofa 2 years and all the stuffing has gone flat. They sent a very nice young man to look at it - he juggled various big weights on the seating area……..🤷🏼‍♀️ The report came back that yes - what I said was correct… but it was within their guidelines. So closed the case.
They said they weren’t prepared to do anything - so yes their Policy is sold under false pretences.
How can we put an end to this ?

Wesley from Firnipro for Guardsman Insurance DFS furniture came today to repair our leather sofa. Just over two years old one recliner seat had problems and the springs out of line and seat went flat.
Wesley knew his job and was really professional. He took the seat apart and renewed it with no mess or problems and the sofa is better than before. Thank you so much and I am really happy we took out the extra insurance because it saved us a lot of money to repair which would have been far more than we paid for the insurance.

Total con ! DFS sell this companies policy as a manufacturing fault and accidental full cover policy ! 'Oh no its not !' It IS a total shoddy worthless policy with dodgy dishonest claims assessors !
Apparently a 7k sofa, just out of manufacturers warranty which develops a fault in that all the recliner led lights that show the controls at night failing isn't an electrical fault ?? In addition, a piece of piping that's come unattached from the TOP area of a chair , which doesn't come into contact at all when you sit on it, is NOT a fault with the manufacturing and also not covered?? I'M SERIOUS!!
This company try and use any kind of excuses and twist policy words to avoid accepting a complaint about a fault ?! Yep, that thing that you pay them for.... damage/fault claims...

DO NOT BOTHER WASTING YOUR HARD EARNT CASH WITH THESE COWBOYS POLICIES!!

Contacted Guardsman about a broken catch on my Ercol Dining Table. I was contacted by a Technician who visited, evaluated the situation, contacted Ercol for a replacement part, visited and fitted the catch satisfactorily.

Paid £300 to DFS for protection. I got ink on my leather sofa and contacted Guardsman to make a claim. Contacted them again, again, again and again! They have never replied to any of my emails, £300 down the pan. I am now going to contact DFS to see if they can help.

I had D’Arcy visit to complete a table top repair. He sent me a text with an estimated time of arrival and was polite and courteous at all times. He obviously knew a lot about his trade and was respectful and tidy at all times. His repair was excellent and I’m very happy with this service.

sorry to say after incident reported approx 14 months ago
1st a cleaning swab sent
2nd a technician who tried cleaning but ended bleaching the sofa
3rd same guy sent back got covers replaced
4th when cover came not matching and nor a good fit
then another guy sent process 3 repeated
and still waiting
I'm disappointed at the delayed service. its taken over a year and still my problems not sorted they i have two sofa sets bought both with guardsman protection. now they had given the option of replacement/ reselect or pay-out but even with this im having to chase,
approx date provided of escalation which was may this year incident reported last October 2021

Found a stain on my leather sofa called out a technician and the stain was removed . I’m very impressed with the service. The technician, Alfie, was very knowledgeable, professional and polite. I had my doubts about purchasing the insurance but so happy that I did. Fabulous service.

4 months & still waiting for a repair, excuses delays & lack of customer care. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THESE COWBOYS.

visited on 7th July by knowledgeable independent furniture technician (Paul) - very thorough, great service all round. Would happily recommend.

On 05.11.21 my nervous dog chewed two corners of my 3 seater red leather sofa after hearing a firework. Guardsman technician called Sean came out on 17.12.21 to assess. Claim went through and I cannot praise him enough. He kept me fully updated as to what stage we were at. He bought some sample colours and managed to find an exact match. The arm was removed and taken away for repadding and repair. Within three weeks, my sofa was like brand new. My experience was exceptional and I would highly recommend their services. Wouldn’t even give these 1 star, absolutely shocking company, a technician eventually came out took leather swatch, didn’t hear anything back, I have constantly had to ring them, the technician gave wrong fault, still saying waiting for more information, phoned again today to be told another technician is coming out, I said enough is enough, you are just wasting time, eventually after saying how appalled I am at their lack of service, it has been escalated d to the next stage, I won’t hold my breath, DFS sold us this insurance saying they were fab, I’ll be contacting them also for false information, totally fed up with this insurance company, I’d never touch them again, STEER CLEAR

STAY AWAY FROM GUARDSMAN!!!!
Technician came out stay 5 minutes They refuse my claim saying it’s a built up. I should have phone in every time an accident happen.

DFS gave my details to this company and they bombard with emails without the option to unsubscribe. I emailed them to request them to unsubscribe me and quoted GDPR, they wrote back with a sales pitch and that their contact was legitimate. Unbelieveable.
