Received confirmation quickly. John who attended the repair, emailed me early to arrange the repair and then after my confirmation, John emailed me the day before to advise of the time.
John very quickly diagnosed the problem and replaced the mechanical part to raise the recliner.
Very happy with both services received so far.
Highly recommend to take out this insurance company when purchasing furniture. We have already had our money back and more in just the 2 call outs. Worth every penny

Don’t waste your money
Bought corner sofa from DFS end of 2023. Had excellent service and write a review about their service to say so . I don’t normally take out insurance covers on furniture or white goods as what ever you claim for never appears to be covered , but this young lady convinced me to take out Guardsman cover as I purchased a fibre filled sofa and I did expect it to lose some resilience but was told that you get a one off refill with this policy as well as accidental damage etc , so just for a refill I thought it would be worth it . How wrong I was as when the technician came and finished his chat of percentage this and that of how much resilience it had lost his view was it was acceptable what it had lost , although it is really uncomfortable to sit on now so he wouldn’t be doing anything about it .
Please don’t waste your money with this company, I have just been bored silly with the guy from customer service who was no help other than to say it’s not covered .
I will be In touch with DFS to tell them that they are selling these policies which reading other reviews are useless

The Guardsman technician was prompt, pleasant, polite & very professional, he carried out his work effectively to its conclusion which was the total removal of unknown stains on our leather suite.

Absolutely appalling company to deal with
The sofa we purchased from DFS consisted of a recliner chair and two two seaters
The recliner chair had the leather peeling off it within the first year
Guardsman claimed this was caused by sweat and was not covered by the policy
However bodily fluids is covered on the policy
And sweat is a bodily fluid so I argued the case and reluctantly they sent a technician out who camouflaged the damage by spray painting it
Further down the line the spray paint has come off that bit and leather is now peeling and cracked where your arm would rest so two areas of damage now on the same chair
Initiated a claim with guardsman explained they had previously came out and spray painted it
They denied they had ever attended !!
Engineer called on this occasion and stated he was requesting new parts as it could not be repaired
Guardsman have rejected the claim again stating that the damage is not covered in the policy
It’s ridiculous that they can scam customers like this
The sofa belongs to my elderly parents who are in their 80s
The sofa is not abused In anyway and has been well looked after
Found another customer on Facebook who went to the local papers for the same thing
Best advice I can give anyone DONOT take a guardsman policy it’s a SCAM and not worth the paper it’s written on

Expensive policy, poor customer service
Absolutely appalling company to deal with. From my experience the policy is not worth the paper it is written on. We were sold the policy by DFS as a policy that would help our sofa maintain its longevity. We could use it to get rid of any stains which appear, clicks, sagging in cushions etc. We were told to never clean it ourselves, instead get advice from Guardsman. However when we have tried to claim on the policy or get advice as we noticed some shinny patches appearing on the head rest areas of the 3 seater sofa, it has taken months of going back and forward, even sending a person to assess the sofa, take photos but offering no advice. To eventually get a response saying unfortunately we were not able to claim as it is not a one off event! The policy - which we received no documentation for so don'tknow exactlywhat it covers- doesn't seem worth the few hundred pounds charged! I would think twice about purchasing it as the only advice given was to get professional cleaners in to clean it! I assumed that was what we had done.

That is amazing, I've never had any other company do something that fast. The engineer was very polite and got on with his work. Even advised me about another fault on my sofa ( I thought I had already sent it to Gaurdsman ) I have sent it now. I'm in shock at how fast this was. This has been amazing and I can't speak highly enough of your engineer and Gaurdsman. Absolutely AMAZING. Such an amazing company. I'm so lucky I took out my insurance with you. Best choice I've made. Amazing service. Amazing engineer and amazing company. Thank you so so much.
Been waiting 16mnths for parts to…
Been waiting 16mnths for parts to repair a reclining chair told after 6mnths they mistakenly closed the approved claim issued 100 pound compensation and currently 8 plus months later still no further forward no parts no updates absolutely shocking service after taking nearly 200 pounds for insurance that doesn't seem to be worth the paper its written
