Factory reset issue
I went into shop looking for some help to complete a factory reset which had some complications. The guy behind the counter was really helpful and sorted it in 5 mins. Result! Great service!
Water Damage …
Got water damage in my phone and took it to Fone Revive in Plymouth. They sorted a replacement charge port and got me going again. Straight forward and concise. Nice job!
Accusations of dishonesty
Apologies for the length of the review: I bought a Samsung mobile phone from this shop in Portswood. This was in lieu of replacing a cracked screen of my old device, as the price differential seemed not that big. This was a shop display model. One of the guys at the shop, quite helpfully inserted the old SIM card, after some fanfare about the plastic sheath being opened in front of us, and opening up the cardboard packaging to show original Samsung documentation. (I later found the documentation to be in English and Arabic, and the specific model number to retrieve Google hits from Western, Southern and South-East Asian countries, and it wasn't even a 5G phone that I thought I was buying.) The following morning, after having set it up with the necessary apps, the phone no longer recognised the new password. After a power shutdown, the password worked. This happened again, with another resetting fix. I called up the shop and complained and they seemed reasonable enough (after suggesting that we must have forgotten the password, repeatedly!) and offered to have a "software guy" look at it in two days' time. When I did go, I was told he was not able to come in the morning, but he would come later and for me to come back later that afternoon. I informed him when I could take time off work to do so, but when I returned with the phone, this "software person" had apparently come, developed a toothache and disappeared to see a dentist. The phone had, in the meantime, begun switching off at random times. When I returned exactly a week after I first bought it, the guy at the shop then suggested that I could not prove anything I said. Moreover, we had extended the tear that was introduced in the shop on the front of the cardboard packaging when it was first opened in the shop and therefore there was no question of a refund. When I informed the guy about the faults, he said that out of the goodness of his heart he would let me exchange the phone for another, more expensive, model. I had the impression that all these phones that were not in their cases were refurbished, so I asked for a sealed device. He refused, saying that no customer had ever asked for such a sealed phone and he seemed offended that I'd asked. Furthermore, he began insinuating that I had been lying about my reasons for being dissatisfied with the device, then challenged me about how much I had initially paid for it, because he showed me that his display unit for the old phone was advertised at a 5 pounds lower price, despite what my SMS-ed receipt said, and that I must have bought something else as well, apart from the phone and the protective sleeve (I had paid 10 quid for it, but he said they sold it for a fiver!) as well. I was hiding that additional purchase for some reason. This led to an ugly ding-dong. I decided to accept my fate instead of spending yet more time on this and cut my losses (200 quid) for a phone with annoying malfunctions. I can hopefully make peace with the device, which (I hope) will be more bearable than to try and reason with this dealership. I accept that I was lax, and hadn't checked on the trustworthiness of this business. If I had decided to get a new phone instead of getting the cracked screen repaired, I should have looked elsewhere. I should have sought independent confirmation on whether this outfit actually sold new phones! I want to warn others to be vigilant about getting into any transactions with them. People should insist on all the paperwork, including that receipts carry detailed specifications of their purchases, and carry some identifiers/signage of this business. They should also ensure that the packaging needs to be pristine, regardless of who opens it. It's important to guard against grounds for future deniability.

Have bought several accessories from Fone Revive Newquay all overpriced like screen cases which fall apart as just cheap rubbish. Save your money and do not use them as they are a waste of time and too expensive and very cheap low quality products
Scammers - Do not use this shop!
I went into Fone Revive in December with a broken screen on my one month old Samsung phone, I left my phone with them for an hour and on my return was told that I had in fact 'damaged the connection to the motherboard' and it would require far more work than just a screen replacement. I thought it a bit strange as my phone had been working perfectly fine, so said I would seek a second opinion. The chap then told me that as my phone was not insured, the damages would cost far more to repair than the phone was worth and offered me a 'new phone' for £190, £170 if I could pay in cash, and I could trade my old device in for a further £20 reduction. After being persuaded that my phone was irreparable I took them up on this offer. When I went home with my 'new phone' that evening I noticed that the speaker was broken and when I went to charge it, it wouldn't charge. I called them first thing the next morning and asked to return the broken phone they sold me and get my old phone back, I was told that my old phone had already been used for parts so this would not be possible. After a trip to 02, they confirmed that the damage described by Fone Revive would not have been possible as my phone was still working and I had been scammed. Also, within 24 hours of giving them my old phone, my social media accounts all got hacked. When I went into the shop the following day to tell them this and ask again for my old phone, the attitude of the chap behind the counter was completely different, I felt intimidated. When I described the damage on the 'new phone' they had sold me, he replied with 'what do you expect? It's like buying a second hand car, you should expect something to be wrong with it'. I managed to get my money back for the 'new phone' they sold me, but never saw my old phone again! I ended up having to buy a brand new phone from O2 which actually cost LESS than the second-hand phone they sold me. Please don't make the same mistake as me, DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS!!!!
Shambles!
Shambles! Purchased a pair of Bluetooth pods on 4th Nov. One of pod’s failed on 6 January. Switches on but won’t connect to anything. Took them back for exchange told sorry we don’t refund or replace. No regard for sale of goods act. Addendum: After contacting their Contact us via email, it seems that’s as non existent as their refund exchange policy! Will now involve trading standards!
Addendum: After a lot of to & growing exchanged today today by a member of staff who obviously knows the sale of goods act 2005!

False advice given
I went to a branch in Shirley, Southampton where they tested a mobile phone that was sold to me as not working. They tested it and put power into it, waved his fingers over the screen like trying to do a magic spell and told me the screen is not working, and there is more wrong with it than would be worth repairing.
I took it to another place for a second opinion, they put a charger into it and showed me the screen IS working, and no other problems than a completely dead battery that is charging up.
Non genuine battery…
They claimed they fitted a genuine Samsung battery to my Samsung S8 but I believe it is a fake as the drop off rate is almost as bad as the old battery. I recommend you do NOT use this shop

I purchased a new phone battery from this outlet, fitted it myself, completely dead. Took it back the next day and I was told it was the charging socket in the phone that was the problem and they wouldn’t take the phone battery back. They did not check the state of the battery they sold me, and even if I had a charging socket issue suddenly appear the battery sold to me should have had enough charge in it to start up the phone at least. Then they had the cheek to offer to sell me a new phone, and were then quite rude and supercilious towards me. Not pleasant at all. Best avoid at all costs.
Time wasters
Gent that I spoke to in the store refused to honour the agreement for an offer. I made clear on an item listing the item I was selling had some wear and tear. When he noticed it on the device he refused to continue any further claiming I hadn't made it clear. He advised that when I asked if the price was good with the damage they said yes over message. The gent then said he responded saying yes, indicating they never read the listing. And paid attention to my obvious indicator.
Great customer service at Clevedon!
I was really impressed with the customer service in the Clevedon shop last week. I took my phone in for a screen repair and sadly there were some problems so I had to take it back. There was no quibble and no fuss - they got me sorted and away with a working phone as soon as they could. Can’t ask for more than that!
