Five Star Autocentre Omdömen 

I brought my car to Five star auto centre after having a recommendation from an RAC mechanic who came to rescue me. From my very first phone call I knew that I was in good hands. Emma was friendly professional and explained everything. I’ve had a new battery fitted, aircon sorted and an investigation for a rattle which another garage couldn’t diagnose. Everything was explained, the work was done professionally and they even went out of their way to chase up a warranty claim which saved me £300.
I will always bring my car back in the future. This garage is a breath of fresh air and I’m so glad I found them.

I have been using Bobby down at this garage for over 5 years. I have had my yearly MOT tests and services done on all the family cars as well as a gearbox rebuild, break pads/disc replacements and a replacement differential done on my 4x4. Bobby and the staff always go above and beyond to make sure you are always aware of what needs to be done with clear costing in advance and will make sure you are completely satisfied with the guaranteed work before leaving. I find you get a far more personal service when dealing with a family business as they care about their reputation rather than satisfying the shareholders. I really can’t praise them enough.

I asked for a price for work needed to get the car through the MOT, they quoted £600+ to replace the wishbone, do the tracking, wheel alignment etc, leading me to believe this was essential. Took it somewhere else for a second opinion and had the bushes replaced for less than £100 and the car passed fine. They will lie to you to get you to pay hundreds for non-essential work. Receptionist was very condescending. If they had just said clearly what was advisory and what was 100% needed I would have let them do it but I will not be misled and spoken to like I’m stupid. Untrustworthy garage, will not be back.

10 out of 10 for customer service. Friendly, efficient and knowledgeable staff. Excellent value for money: thorough explanation of work that needed to be done and what could be left.
Altogether extremely satisfied and will definitely be recommending to friends.

So last week I had my Discovery 5 aircon serviced by 5 Star having not used them previously but selecting them from internet and gave 5 star review. This week in a moment of stupidity( not normal for me!) I realised I had been running my beloved Jaguar XK8 coupe for 3 days on expired MOT. Quick call to 5 Star and booked in. Once again great service from this team. I knew 2 tyres on limit and was offered chance to use my normal supplier but opted to let 5 Star source tyres as long as price was right- which it was. There was an annoying rattle at rear of car which I asked for an opinion on. First suggestion was shockers ( which I could quite understand). A later call from the team suggested on further investigation this was not likely to be the cause . It would have been very easy for them to have just done shocks on a hunch , but they went the extra yard to eliminate this . So I’m living with the rattle for now and have not been sold something that was not needed. So once again I am a happy customer. Thank you all:

Had my service done here back January which made me eligible for the MOT assist scheme, my car failed MOT and needed £751 of repairs and because of the MOT assist scheme that covers up to £750 of work that is required to pass I paid £1 for the actual repairs on top of the cost of MOT.

Can't be thankful enough to the team, all a bunch of nice and genuine people who go above and beyond for their customers, definitely will be going here for any future car related work.

Peter and Emma were amazing, they made me feel at ease and could not have been more helpful and efficient, my car was ready to pick up in a couple of hours and had been washed and valeted superbly. I was kept up to date every step of the way by the team.
Dave did a fantastic job of making sure my car recieved a thorough MOT and was up to scratch for my daily commutes on the motorway.
