Ich baue seit Kurzem den Ferrari von Michael Schumacher (Baujahr 2000) von Fanhome auf. Aktuell bin ich bei den ersten Ausgaben (ca. Heft 10 bis 14), daher gibt es logischerweise noch nicht allzu viel zu sehen, aber der Anfang ist gemacht!
Bis jetzt bin ich wirklich zufrieden und mein Zwischenfazit fällt gut aus. Die Teile machen einen ordentlichen Eindruck und das Basteln macht Spaß.
Besonders positiv hervorheben möchte ich den Kundenservice: Ich hatte bereits ein defektes Teil in einer der Lieferungen. Nach einer kurzen Meldung hat Fanhome mir dieses Teil anstandslos und komplett kostenlos neu zugeschickt. So ein unkomplizierter Service ist bei so einem großen Projekt Gold wert.
Bisher eine klare Empfehlung für alle Formel-1-Fans! Ich bin gespannt auf die nächsten Hefte.

Nice ships, but be prepared for a lot of emails
My experience with this company has been very frustrating. I subscribe to the Batman graphic novels and there’s been a lot of delay of product, the quality of the product is not what I would expect, in a lot of cases they will split up a story because now they have another volume, they can bill you for, and try to cancel. Subscription is very difficult because there’s certain points for the month where you can’t cancel it because something is being mailed or billed so you’re gonna have to call back several times in order to get a cancellation.
Additionally, there was an issue with their ordering software and I was sent the wrong starship for one of my orders and to try and get that refund took many emails and well over a month for it finally to happen. In their defense, I think they’ve been going through a different software transition as well as moving their headquarters for serving the United States, but I can’t recommend this company without extreme reservation. I will say that the starships I have received I quite like and well, probably overpriced like everything is these days, at least they look really good.

I started this build with Eaglemoss, but they went bankrupt when I just started the engine block. I thought my dream of a great Ecto-1 build was lost. Then I learned that FanHome picked it up. I was able to continue the build. As the build continued, I noticed some parts were a bit warped, but I didn't want to be picky. I was getting the parts pretty frequently.
Then the problem of availability of parts came up. It was frustrating, but I trusted FanHome. Every time I contacted Fanhome, the people who responded were courteous, which I respected as a customer. They kept me informed about the problems, and the solutions, they were going through to bring our builds to the US, instead of relying on the UK distributers.
The shipping has improved dramatically. The help I get whenever I email them has always been a positive experience. I'm more patient than most, so that helps.
It's a good company, and I even got my best friend into the model builds.
