Ewemove Litteborough &Todmorden ,I have dealt with many Estate agents and I must say Mark has been the very best. He is excellent and very professional . He gives 100% and left no stone unturned when selling my property. He is very personable and friendly and has amazing communication skills. I would highly recommend Mark to anyone selling their property. All I can say is Thank you Mark for helping me to sell my property as smoothly as possible and dealing promptly with issues from third parties.

Worse letting agency, do not recommend

Absolutely appalling experience with this letting agency. After more than two years as a tenant — always paying on time — the moment I gave my 30-day notice, they turned into a brick wall. My rolling contract clearly states my payment date is the 6th of each month, and I submitted notice on the 5th of October. By every legal and logical measure, my tenancy should’ve ended on the 6thth of the following month.

Instead, they tried to strong-arm me into paying rent until the 30th of November, completely ignoring the contract, agreement that we had in place, the law, and the fact I even was ready to return the keys on the 6th. They repeatedly refused to acknowledge basic facts, kept sending contradictory emails, and tried threatening me with my own deposit — which is protected by DPS, not owned by them.

They also refused to perform a proper check-out, claiming they’d only do it “when a new tenant is found,” which is absolutely unacceptable and wildly unprofessional.

If you value transparency, fairness, or even the slightest amount of common sense, avoid this agency. Once you’re in, they’ll twist dates, bend rules, and waste your time with endless emails just to squeeze money out of you that you do not owe.

Easily one of the most frustrating rental experiences I’ve had. Tenants deserve better.

Amazing from start to finish

From the first contact, all the way through to completion David was brilliant. Constant feedback and response to questions and when it looked like the chain was in danger of collapsing he spent hours contacting all the agents and solicitors to get the completion through. Thank you. (I’m not planning on moving anytime soon but if I was I would definitely choose Ewemove.

Supportive from start to finish

The team were very quick to respond to any queries I had, were very supportive if I had any queries and reassured me throughout the purchase of my new home. There was a lovely starter box given when I picked up my keys. Claire was lovely when showing me the property and Claire and Jane were easy to get hold of the whole way through. Cannot fault the team! They truly made my first purchase as easy as they could and were there at every step. Thank you all!

Avoid at All Costs – My Experience With EweMove Was Deeply Disappointing

I am writing this review to share my personal experience with EweMove (Stamford & Spalding), hoping it will protect others from going through what my family had to go through.

In my opinion, the way this branch handled my brother’s tenancy and funds was deeply unprofessional, misleading, and extremely disappointing.

1. Confusing and Contradictory Communication

Throughout the tenancy, we were given multiple written assurances from EweMove staff—especially from one of their representatives—that the remaining Rent Now Buy Later (RNBL) balance would be refunded once the keys were returned.
We relied on these written promises, only for the company to completely change their position after receiving the keys.

For me personally, this showed huge inconsistency and made the process extremely stressful.

2. Lack of Transparency

When we requested clarification, evidence, or justification for withholding my brother’s funds, we were left facing vague explanations, shifting stories, and no clear proof.

In my view, a professional letting agent should be able to provide:

invoices

check-in / check-out reports

photographs

receipts

itemised deductions

NONE of these were provided to us.

It felt like everything was being said “verbally” with no documentation to back it up.

3. Refusal to Provide Landlord Details

In our experience, EweMove refused to give us the landlord’s details even after repeated requests.

Any good agent should act transparently and fairly between landlord and tenant.
Instead, we felt we were blocked, ignored, and pushed around.

Because of this, we were left unable to communicate or resolve anything with the landlord directly.

4. Sudden Change of Position After Keys Were Returned

Before the keys were handed back, we were told that the property was in acceptable condition and that the RNBL refund would be arranged.

After the keys were returned, the story suddenly changed.

From our perspective, this behaviour felt unfair, misleading, and extremely distressing.

5. My Personal Feeling: Exploitation of a Vulnerable Tenant

My brother was in a vulnerable position at the time, and in my honest opinion, EweMove took advantage of the situation rather than acting with fairness and compassion.

As a family, we felt let down, mistreated, and in my view, the whole situation has shown extremely poor conduct.

6. Left With No Option Except Legal Action

We tried everything to resolve this amicably, but in the end, we were left with no choice except to take the matter to the County Court.

This is not how a professional estate agent should operate.

My Final Thoughts

Based on my experience, I would never recommend EweMove (Stamford & Spalding) to anyone looking to rent or buy a property.

I strongly advise others to:

be cautious

insist on everything in writing

double-check all financial arrangements

carefully protect themselves

because in my opinion, EweMove’s conduct was unreliable, contradictory, and lacked transparency.

I hope this review helps others avoid the stress and financial uncertainty that we experienced.

One of the worst companies EVER

One of the worst companies I’ve ever rented from! For 5 years running, every single month there is floods, sewage back up and blocked sinks etc, despite the few and far between efforts ewe move would make to rectify this, the proper work that needed to be complete to stop this happening, they don’t do because the cost is too high for them to remove the bathroom wall of which the broken macerator is behind. I was at one point kicked out of my flat for them to ‘fix’ this, resulting in me having to borrow money for me and my child to eat, as the property was unsafe for me to bring my 2 year old as a single mum unattended whilst I was cooking. Their reply was ‘you could have used your oven’ whilst half of my bathroom was all over my kitchen floor?
Putting these CONTINUOUS problems aside.. I then had a problem with incompetence, resulting in me having to open a loan, just so I would not loose my next property I’ve been waiting 6 years for, my local council contacted Ewemove who then informed them incorrectly that I owed £300. 3 months in a row, the rent was charged at £1325 instead of £1235. They paid a portion of the £300 back, but when I asked for the rest plus compensation for the fact I’ve wrongfully had to open a loan AND pay interest at THEIR fault, they rejected by telling me that I should basically be doing their job for them? Apparently I as a tenant am supposed to double check my rent account THAT THEY ALSO REFUSED FOR OVER A WEEK TO SEND TOO ME DESPITE NUMEROUS CALLS AND TEXTS so how I’d have checked in time anyway IS BEYOND ME. Imagine a big company turning round and saying yes we made the mistake but you should have checked our ongoing mistake??? I’m sorry do we get paid to do their job for them? Honestly I have NEVER experienced such a ridiculous estate agents in my life and I have been through plenty and had no problems with them or their properties either.
Absolutely baffled as to how they’ve come to the conclusion that I should be checking their mistakes and doing their job for them when that’s what they are paid for?????? Alongside the fact they took a ridiculously long time to send over my rent statements anyway. Now struggling financially as a single mother because I’ve wrongfully had to open a loan due to misinformation of what they’ve TOLD my local housing association. Anyone wants to know what Ewemove is like in the Dorking/leatherhead area, it is shocking, terrible service and incompetent staff who make tenants pay for mistakes they’ve made, and hold tenants accountable for checking they’re doing their job correctly? What a joke of a company!!!!!! If they start paying me to correct their mistakes their reasoning would be justified but it isn’t.

Steve is a very professional estate agent.
He was there every step of the way when selling house, easy to contact and always replied very quickly
He handled all the viewings and kept us well informed
Nothing was too much trouble
Would definitely use him again

We found Paul representing the Cleckheaton area very knowledgeable and experienced . He was easy to talk to, communication through the WhatsApp group was great and he dealt with our questions promptly, honestly and professionally.

EweMove Bexleyheath

Well, well, how brilliant are the EweMove team in Bexleyheath?! We had instructed 3 previous agents to market our house and, after initial contact, viewings (and communication) became less and less, with no offers received. Decided to start afresh with EweMove and, after a visit by Robert to discuss our requirements, we were up and running. Special thanks to Nicoleta Aliman who was our sales contact - SO enthusiastic and worked hard to pursue potential buyers leading to an offer from a first-time buyer. We completed the sale on 31st October. Communication was superb (including a WhatsApp group set up to include us and the EweMove staff. Absolutely blows other agents out of the water - can’t recommend highly enough. THANK YOU TO YOU ALL!!!

I recently bought my new home through EweMove and couldn’t be happier with the experience. The team were incredibly helpful, professional, and friendly from the very first viewing to completion.

Communication was excellent — they kept me informed every step of the way and always responded quickly to any questions. The whole process felt smooth and stress-free thanks to their support and genuine care.

A brilliant service

We set out to sell our house enthusiastically believing we had a lovely home to sell. Sadly we were met by negative experiences on valuation by other local agents who seemed to place business needs above their clients.

Laura at ewe move, Beverley was a breath of fresh air. Her positive attitude confirmed to us that our house was more than worth selling and she expected our sale to do well. We also believe that Roland’s photographs of our home were far superior as was Laura’s written description of our home. Jane was also brilliant on steering our sale. Beverley Ewe move are an excellent team of strong communicators who got on with the job of selling our home. We always felt in safe hands and would highly recommend

⭐ 1 Star Review – Totally Unprofessional and Misleading Agency

I am extremely disappointed with the way this agency operates. My cousin and I tried for several days to contact them about a property, first, we were told that the property had been sold — but when I called again, another person said it was still available. This is completely unacceptable and shows how unorganised and dishonest they are.

It feels like they are just playing games with buyers — passing people from one person to another, giving different answers every time, and wasting everyone’s time. No professionalism, no clear communication, and absolutely no respect for potential buyers.

If this is how they treat people before a sale, I can only imagine how unreliable they would be afterwards. Totally disappointed and I would strongly advise others to stay away from this agency.
