Southport everlast ocean plaza is very disappointing i would like to say that the staff are lovely and very helpful but the actual management and facilities that you pay for just aren't there or are poor i came in today I was very disappointed there are no lockers to secure your valuables ,the scales aren't working and neither is the steam room don't exactly know why iam paying £30 a month for this its daylight robbery surely they should adjust the fees whilst the facilities that your paying are not there as you could go somewhere and spend £10 a month and have the facilities they have at the moment ,
Shoddy and devious
I cancelled my membership or thought I had but Everlast continued to draw £53.50 from my account. Tried to contact so called Head Office but I was held on the phone for over 40minutes and the wait time never reduced - the message just repeated 20minute wait.
The phone number 0344-2459255 is a joke. In my opinion Everlast is shoddy and devious.

cancelled online, but for some reason, it didnt go through. Had an email to say I owed them money, which surprised me as I had cancelled. Did it again through the website to be told I couldnt and had to contact my branch
I did that and had a very unhelpful conversation with the manager who would not take my first cancellation date as a gesture of goodwill as there was nothing on my account! Not my fault that there must have been an issue with their website. I have now cancelled my direct debit and have told them they wont get another penny from me

I was very ill and had to cancel my direct debit due to not showing up and I was charged £10 in addition to my £20.
When I called I was asked to be present in order to pay at their office, so I went there. On getting there the front desk staff informed me that I had to pay £40 instead and when I asked why she rudely said “I should have read the contract, and after the 10th of each month the price increases by £10” ?!!!
I ended up paying £40 for a direct debit cancellation from last month.
Broken Down Jacuzzi Stopped Me Joining
Looked at the gym in Derby with my credit card in my pocket and potentially ready to join. The gym looked clean and staff were polite and helpful. I learned through firstly my observations and then by talking to the otherwise generally happy users that the jacuzzi has been out of order for 4 months. That led me to hesitate and not join there and then. I have to wander what else won't get fixed expediently. I also detect a possible issue of the head honchos not being in tune with the hassle broken down equipment causes for the staff on site.
Everlast head office - useless
Attended local gym today (member since days of DW), only to be told my membership has been cancelled? Not by me for certain. Trying to contact Everlast is impossible. 40 min wait on phone and email service might get back within 48hrs. Local gym unable to help as they could not explain why this has happened, and they explained I am not the first customer this has happened too.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS
Truly awful gym company, machines always out of order, terrible customer service and poor gym cleaniness. The showers have been broken in the Blackburn gym for over a month now, staff have no idea when they will be fixed. Baffles me how they can run a gym without showers and not even care to think about the members, maybe a discounted month subscription would of been a good thing to do, im sure they'll of lost a lot of members because of this.
Cant wait to leave.
Rip-off, extremely disappointed, unhelpful customer service
Do not make the same mistake and get a membership for these gyms as you’d end up disappointed and you wouldn’t be able to leave. Requested a cancellation of my membership on the 2nd of the month and was told I’d be charged for another month despite the month’s notice I’d given. Quite old machines and not worth the money. Hours’ long waiting times on the phone and impossible to connect to a representative.
Shocking
Shocking, customer service, I cancelled my membership due to not using and the state of the gym. Swimming pool was grim, steam room not working for months and not following COVID regulations. I cancelled and cancelled direct debit. They added £10 charge for cancelling direct debit. Tried to call customer service and wait time started at 75 minutes and continued to go up even after 30 minutes!!!! Called the club and just greeted by a rude member of staff staying they couldn't do anything!

I have had to cancel my direct debit due to losing my job and was quite happy to give three month notice.i decided to try and pay over the phone and was 41 in the queue.so after almost three quarters of an hour I had to end the call I rang my local gym to be told I can't pay over the phone and despite this I have had 2 amounts of 10.00 added to my account..never known such a poor frustrating qcustomer service...
High risk pregnancy and cant cancel membership?!
If i could i would give it zero stars, i enjoyed their service until i got pregnant and due to two misscarriages i decided not to carry on with my membership. I had a valid reason and showed evidence of previous miscarriages via a NHS letter the head office rejected my evidence saying they needed "signed letter" from a GP/Midwife. Now if you live in the UK, you would probably know getting any sort of letter from NHS is impossible and i tried multiple times with both GP and Midwife and both couldnt give me signed letter. They insisted whatever papers i had at hand was enough to cancel a gym membership. I spoke to the Everlast headoffice muliple times and they rejected me saying they will not cancel until i had valid proof. Makes no sense. Even if i wasnt high risk pregnancy i wouldnt be able to use ALL the machines in the gym anyway! These people are delusional and terms and conditions outline its upto the the gyms descretion..! My husband and i will never return to this gym after being treated so unfairly. Disappointed!!!

I have anxiety and ptsd . I get stressed using online stuff so kindly the lady at reception signed me up. Then 1 payment bounced for some reason and they charged me a £10 admin fee which I wasn't told about when signing up . At the time my mental health had took a plunge and I had time off work so that extra £10 was massive I hadn't been using the gym due to my mental health so I rang to explain and to cancel my membership. I just then assumed that it was done . 3 days ago I wanted to rejoin but was informed I owed money I explained and sent proof of my mental health and they halved the bill I said that's not good enough. I asked for there policy on disability and was told to Google it I asked for the contact details of there CEO they lied and said they didn't have one. I explained that under the laws of equality and diversity I felt I hadn't kept my dignity due to the way I'd been treated . My mental health was dismissed and I was told that fitness was good for it . I informed Christina that yes fitness was good for mental health but bring in an abusive marriage and ending up with ptsd sometimes I have to fight to just leave the house . I shouldn't have had to explain this and she also stated that my doctor hadn't stated I couldn't exercise. I was in tears and so angry and my anxiety was through the roof. Everlast need to properly train their staff to have some customer care in their complaints department. I've never been treated so badly . Rude , obnoxious individual Christina. I hope you never have to suffer with ptsd and then deal with someone an patronising as yourself
Horrible gym and money theiving rodents
Horrible gym, impatient staff. Impossible to get through to membership services. Deliberately torturous to cancel your membership... so hard to find the cancellation page and then Impossible to pay any arrears on your account using their links resulting in £10 emails. They're money thieving crooks. AVOID.
Everlast Halifax
Everlast Halifax - It pains me to pay so much money for this gym (£32 a month) when it has such bad facilities. The place is run down and the equipment is old. Machines are out of order for months at a time, the hot water is often not working, neither are the showers. Not something you expect when paying so much money for a gym, it’s way more expensive than other gyms in the area.

Best Gym in Cambridge- A Place For Friendly People
Best Gym in Cambridge. I have been to all of the bigger gyms in Cambridge over the years. Whilst all are good, this is my favourite. Such lovely decor convenient location, and what value £30 a month !!! The staff are the nicest bunch of people ! And so professional. I have been here on and off for years when it was owned by different companies. Always loved it, but I have to say this period is the best yet. Standard of housekeeping, management, quality of staff, friendliness professionalism 10 out of 10 on everything. I was so fed up before rejoining Everlast really down and lonely. But regular exercise, kind friendly staff and other members, has given me back my ability to feel really happy again.
I not only feel a great fondness for Scott and his well appointed team, but every visit, I meet more and more lovely, friendly down to earth, warm people.
I come out almost everyday thinking everyone I have met here today has been happy, jolly, friendly,co-operative and kind.
So if that's important to you, and your that sort of person, it would be great to have your friendly energy at this wonderful gym too. But if your not lol, please go somewhere else, let us keep Everlast Cambridge an uplifting place.

Do not join it’s a disgrace!
Having joined the gym with my wife we can’t believe how badly run down it becomes every day! The steam room never works correctly, ‘hot tub’ cold more often than not, multiple lockers broken and never get fixed, ladies showers been broken for months. Cleanliness of gym area awful, lack of knowledge from staff very frustrating and the management just do not run the gym well. Spoke to the head office about all of this and was told ‘we have never been in this gym so we don’t know what happens’ well that says it all really. Please do not get a membership here it is a disgrace.
Worst gym in Cambridge
Worst gym in Cambridge. Rude staff and not helpful. Bad organisation . Make mistakes in the contract. Charged me with more money and when trying to cancel it , they made me pay 6 more months when I have been in the gym for more than 10 years.

Price is good but not at the cost of contracting an illness from the dirt. Chlorine is overpowering in the Jacuzzis. Red eyes for days after using. I will be returning to Bannatyne. You get what you pay for, quality.
