BLACKBURN EVERLAST GYM
I have been a member of the Blackburn Everlast gym since August last year. But, this gym has totally gone down hill, since the New Year the pool has been closed on several occasion's due to the boilers not working, they said, "they were waiting for parts". Showers cold also, as the has been no boilers working. But, today, 21st February 2023, I went this afternoon to go in the gym and use the treadmill machine. When trying to go on this machine, 1st not working, 2nd one not working, 3rd one, set off going so quick, I nearly fell off, (so dangerous). So, I went to reception, to inform the staff of the problem, they do need fixing. The young man, was rude, and not at all interested in this problem, he even said, " If he had "telekinesis" he would have known the problem. Definition = the supposed ability to move objects at a distance by mental power or other non-physical means..... What an absolute a...hole....
Anyway, so just to put in perspective,
1. pool not working properly
2. Jacuzzi sometimes not working.
3. Ladies showers filthy.
4. Two of the rowing machines not working properly.
5. Reception staff not at all helpfull, (except for one nice young man)
For £30 a month this service is not acceptable, and, I have cancelled my membership.
All I can say, is do not waste your money.
Cleanliness & health & safety not adhered to
My friend & I joined Blackburn Everlast in November 2021 and it has gone quickly downhill. One jacuzzi has now not worked for over 12 months, the temperature in the swimming pool is often cold & we are told the boiler is not functioning correctly -GET a new one!. The changing rooms (Ladies) are not cleaned regularly and we have complained, along with other ladies that the hairdryers are either not working or dangerous - this week 3 not working which havent been for months and 3 more getting too hot you cannot hold. I'm paying £360 per year for this so called service !

Didn't apply for direct debit payment then put a default in my account! No reply, no phone number to call. Just an appalling company which will be closing very soon hopefully.
Only wish I'd read the reviews here before signing up to this scumbag operation.

I joined the gym back on 1st of Sep 22 Branksome Poole Dorset and the jacuzzi didn't worked and steam room is not working since 2nd week of Jan23, today I spoke at receptionand they said maybe one or two months until the steam room will he done and jacuzzi was down for 2 years and no chance to be fixed. The swimming pool is always cold because the temperature had been dropped. The gents changing room is always dirty and when I asked at reception to send someone to check the answers was there is not cleaner.
My question is why i need to pay around 300 pounds per years when your facility are not working???
The person is rude too and not helping.

Do not ever sign up to their offers. They are a dodgy company and it's very difficult to get out of their contracts. Faceless company so emails and phone calls aren't answered but they continue to take money every month. Would never recommend this company to anyone
Charged me for two memberships
Charged me for two memberships due to a computer errors. Been waiting 10 months for a refund. I have now sent 113 emails to their purposefully inept team with only a few responses. They should be shut down.

Changing room swap
Hello
This evening my wife messaged me that there is a changing room swap and she walked into mans changing mans( previously woman’s) room. There was two man present at that time.
I understand you can make changes own your own rights and we have no issues with that.
My concern is we haven’t had an email about this change or prior notice.
There is a small sign by the entrance and staff is normally too busy chatting each other at the desk. Lady I have spoken in the office has said head office notified them to do this change and they can’t send an email.
As a similar but smaller scale business owner we always email costumers and notify them with the changes.
My concern is; as my wife got in there might have been no one and she would have got undressed. After that anything unfortunate could have happened as she might have had a brake down ( as she recently lost her mum.) or any other nasty things that I don’t even want to think of.
As of that moment I was expressing myself to the lady at the desk, one of your staff was shamelessly trying not to laugh.
Not to mention that since we have joined Epsom branch is going down the hill with all the negative changes have happened. Staff is very rude .

AVOID AT ALL COSTS Failed to process my downgrade for over 3 months, after signing 3 downgrade forms, no answer on the phone from customer from HO and staff behind the til just fob you off. I have been charged the full amount despite being told I had downgraded. I dont know what I need to do to downgrade

Terrible Service
I was told I didn't need to validate my parking at Keighley gym because their validating screen pad was broken.
I got a £60 parking fine.
After several emails and lies I eventually got my £60 back.
3+ months the whole thing took.
Now asking for compensation in a form of free months membership which they are ignoring.
Terrible club...zero customer service skills.👎

Somehow their system set up two direct debits. You can’t contact head office. Derby gym claimed all sorted. A month further on and still trying to take two payments. Incompetent staff and no customer service at all levels

Terrible gym. Cancelled as per the cancellation policy (3 months). After cancellation period ended they continued to take payments. They told me it was a system error and to leave the direct debit OPEN (4-5 months after cancelling) so they can refund me. I told them I'd closed it as I no longer have an agreement with them. Sent multiple emails over months for a refund of the payments they'd taken after cancellation and now they are totally ignoring my emails. Nor have I had a refund. When I was a member the classes were of low quality - they were uninspiring and very basic. Went to a spin class and all the lights were on and the instructor just stood in the corner the whole time and wasn't even on the bike! Toilets often dirty with broken doors etc. Don't waste your money - the company is immoral and doesn't value customers whatsoever. They have effectively stolen money from me and are now ignoring me - I've never dealt with a company like it! There lack of response to emails, calls and reviews like these tells you everything you need to know. I won't hold my breath at getting the money back.
