Extremely disappointing experience with Etihad Holidays

We booked our honeymoon through Etihad Holidays, paying around £3,200, and unfortunately a major flight disruption caused us to lose a substantial part of our first day.

Our Etihad flight was affected by a technical issue, resulting in around 3 hours stuck on the aircraft, followed by a lengthy wait for accommodation. We eventually reached the hotel at around 4am the next day , and our subsequent rebooking meant losing a significant part of the following day of our honeymoon.

What has been most disappointing is how Etihad Holidays handled the situation afterwards. Despite the disruption occurring during our honeymoon and the significant amount we paid for the holiday, the only compensation/goodwill gesture offered by Etihad Holidays was TeamLab tickets which have less than £30 value .

Whilst we appreciate the gesture, we found this completely inadequate given the circumstances. Losing a significant portion of a £3,200 honeymoon cannot reasonably be addressed with attraction tickets.

We expected much better customer care and a meaningful goodwill gesture, such as compensation, a future holiday credit, additional accommodation or assistance towards replacing the lost honeymoon experience.

Technical problems can happen, but how a company looks after its customers afterwards really matters. Unfortunately, Etihad Holidays fell well short of our expectations. We are extremely disappointed and would think twice before booking another important holiday with them

Beautiful amazing hotel craft from cleaner to top was excellent

The flight on the way out was brilliant , great customer service so easy with the private transfer and a wonderful hotel. But on the way back mine and my girlfriends screen did not work and so they gave us a free wifi vouchers which did not work either so had no screen for the intire fligh. The cabin crew were moody and so unhelpful with very poor customer service.

Just returned back from a lovely relaxing 7 days in Abu Dhabi with my 13 year old son! Although great time I do have a couple minor winges but they didn’t detract from a good time we had!
Firstly when you book a holiday with a board basis of all inclusive ultra I would expect most things at the hotel to be available but this was not the case! Many items were not included and items on the menu in the à la carte menu had supplements
Also we were allowed to use any other ihg hotel on the complex which was a nice touch but there offerings were all different as well! Ironically we found ourselves being treated better in the hotels we weren’t staying at 😂😂

From the flight to the hotel to the visit into dubai it was magical first time in 28 years away from our children for our 20 year wedding anniversary

Etihad holidays charge more than Etihad airways to amend typo on name on ticket by x3 more . Airline quoted £75 Etihad holidays charged me £250 !!!!.Upon Booking the website kept crashing had to attempt about 6 times then was left with not knowing if the booking had gone through for 24hrs until I had a call the next day.Had a bad experience on the holiday regarding infestation in the room awaiting to here back in 28 days regarding this issue.Also you have to select to have a kids meal on the flight kids don’t automatically get a kids meal upon check in I could not see anywhere to add this option on.

Bcoz when we booked holidays they said 24 restaurants there only 6 was open hotel was good rest everything was perfect only very disappointed with restaurants

Had a fantastic holiday and the booking experience was easy

Booking process, communications, transfers , flight , hotel. All excellent. Observation is that on this occasion the flight was with emirates through Dbx and it’s not as good as Etihad into Abu Dhabi.

First time flying with etihad. Will definitely choose etihad again!

When booking for 3 of us was told theirs a sofa bed in.hotel. online said sleeps 3 when arrived to.hotel had to.purchase spend more money to.purchas a extra bed. So i felt as if I.was.mis sold what I actually made sure i enquired about before booking.
