Very useful discussion with Gitesh Rathod who gathered our information/requirements and clearly explained our options and their costs in appropriate detail. Our next steps were agreed and our follow on actions were explained and carried out efficiently. Would recommend.

I have waited a few hours hours before reviewing Paul Hetherington (Coop Legal Services) for one primary reason: never before have I needed to find the words to express such total and utter satisfaction in any service. As an ex-teacher, I am trained to always find some room, however small, for improvement, but I have failed miserably on this occasion, being totally overwhelmed by the quality of Paul’s advice relating to the writing of a new will.
I did have my reservations beforehand. What if the gentleman leading the call was miserable or had no sense of humour? Would he really know his stuff? The joke is on me. Not only was it obvious that Paul was a complete master of his trade (and other Co-op services, namely Power of Attorney), but he was also first-class company. The meeting passed in a flash.
Without any attempt whatsoever to lead my choices, he talked me through the range of possible consequences of every option. I thought that I was pretty well-informed as regards wills. Humble pie will be on the menu later today!
I have previously drawn up a will with a local firm of solicitors, which I now know barely touched the surface; not much more than a piece of paper. And it was not any cheaper than the discretionary will option that I have chosen with Paul (it allows me to amend many details over time as circumstances change).
I felt in safe hands at all times today and and am so very grateful to Paul not only for his warm and relaxed style, but also for his humour, professionalism, personal experiences (his examples were very useful in illustrating possible scenarios), knowledge and expertise.
I have come away knowing that I can now relax (once the new will is signed) in the certainty that I have covered all bases. My estate is protected, as, also, are my beneficiaries. I have appointed Co-op Legal services as my executor, which, I now realise was a no-brainer, given the benefits (eg smoother-running probate, gathering of uncollected allowances from a previous marriage).
I will next be sorting out Power of Attorney. Given the pros (so many) and cons (I can’t think of a single one at the moment), I will be back to Paul and Co-op Legal Services.
A rare event for me, I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Paul Hetherington and will be doing so over the weekend to all of my friends. It has been nothing short of a pleasure to write a 100% positive review! If you are looking to write a will, I would look no further than Paul! My heartfelt thanks to him.

The interview was unhurried and comprehensive. Options were clearly explained and there was no pressure to do anything other than what was best for us. There wasn't any sales pressure to choose the more expensive options. The option to change our minds was reassuring.
