Don’t sign up to this.. just don’t.
It’s not cheap and there are better companies out there. It is really not worth it and if you use it enough eventually you will get blamed for damage to the vehicle that clearly was not you, despite providing enough evidence.
I’m currently in an ongoing dispute where Ive been blamed for small damage to a vehicle, and their sole reason for charging me is that I was the last user of the vehicle.. if you look at the reviews on this page, it seems to be a common theme. It is a fraudulent company and their customer service is non-existent. whatever you do, Please avoid this and save yourself the trouble that the majority of people in the review section have gone through…. Do not use enterprise Car club, or enterprise rentals for that matter.

Tried this out after Zip Car and Zip Van shut down their operations. Various membership options depending on your usage levels and pricing seems fair and not dissimilar to Zip. The van was almost brand new and well located for my need that day. There is limited availability in some postcodes (eg SE14) but I hope they will improve this. The app is fine. The van was quick to set up with android auto / apple via Bluetooth but with some vehicles I imagine having the right type of usb cable will be important.

I love the novelty of getting in a new car and getting a job done. And i love at the end when i end the hire, close the door, and walk away not having to think about that car ever again - no tax, MOT, damage, insurance cost worries, nothing! Love it! I've been with carclub for over 15 years, before Enterprise took over. It is a brilliant service. I suspect any bad reviews are people who didn't think-through how the hire would work in advance; have the app on their phone, know their password, know how they'd get the key, and read the vehicle start instructions. I live in a big city centre and, any time I want I can book a car or van nearby to pickup heavy stuff from shops. I always pay the p/hr extra to reduce my excess. Recently I hired a van for a DIY job; £15:40 to get long heavy stuff home - quick, easy, efficient. In the past I've needed the phone support for various things; when I hadn't properly read how to start some vehicles, etc, and the phone support is excellent. Billing is fast - same day or next day. It cannot be easy with lots of users but they keep everything working brilliantly.

Enterprise are currently trying to charge me twice for a PCN a month after it was originally settled and paid for. Diabolical behaviour and needs to be investigated.

Only 4* not 5* because vehicle wasn’t parked in car club parking bay on collection - it would have been helpful to have received an email to let me know where it actually was instead of having to search for it.

Before I write this review, I want you to know that I have hired from Enterprise before, using the traditional method, with staff who actually seemed to care about themselves, the company and most importantly the customer. The premiss of the CarClub is to make the whole experience quick and easy, with minimal interaction, saving both time and money. However, this falls down if the van has an issue, (tyre pressure) in my particular case. I located the van easily, but due to multiple emails etc... it was quite over whelming to easily find the necessary information in one place. I had emails, text messages etc... across a number of different platforms. Essentially, just make sure you have downloaded the app before arriving!!!! I had not done this, and ended up having to go into the office, a human interaction, which defeats the purpose. This interaction was at best 'catastrophic', I felt as though I was a total inconvenience. Eventually, I had enough information to access the van, which looked as if it been sitting outside in the elements for a number of weeks. I followed the instructions to photograph any external damage, again, another 20 minutes wasted, the 'old fashioned' walkaround seemed so much easier. Once inside, I wished I has brought a Dyson and some polish!! I realise it is a van, but I just feel a small amount of effort could have been made. On starting the van, I was issued with a dashboard warning light about tyre pressure, so drove to the office again. This experience was identical to the first, catastrophic!!! Eventually the tyre pressure warning was reset, with a great deal of patronising comments. I eventually drove out of the depot, only for the tyre pressure warning light to once again come on, which due to road works, meant a 20-minute delay to get back to the depot, and another visit to the office. The van was taken away so the mechanics could use their 'special' machine to check for slow punctures!! 15 minutes later the van returned, with some interesting tyre pressures, which may have been the reason for the vibration on the steering wheel when driving above 35mph. (Front Left 4.4, Front Right 3.6, Rear both 3.6 (Bar)). So, the CarClub was not quicker, in fact a snail would have found it frustratingly slow, and the quality of the hire vehicle was poor. The only plus point of the whole day, was the ability to hand the van back without having to have any form of interaction with any of the humans in the office. In addition, CarClub asked for a review, the website timed out while trying write this review, they need to cut it down to 500 characters, although I think I could have managed with 12 characters including spaces.

I've Spend 1h to find car location

The van I booked was not ready at the branch. I was given a lift to the other branch only to be be given a van with virtually no fuel in it after a long delay sorting paperwork.

Very easy to find car and anytime stiff of. Is possible. I love to be customer with this company.

I had to travel 2.7 miles to my nearest car club vehicle. There are fewer and fewer vehicles on offer. There used to be 3 in the city centre and one was less than half a mile away. Now there are none and I have to take a bus to access the nearest vehicle. I am very disappointed.

It was a good experience

The whole experience of hiring a car was made simple by online checking and the courteous help of Ben from the Kings Lynn branch . The best part was the pick up and drop off service which made the whole process 5* for me . Thanks guys I will definitely use Enterprise again .

Straightforward process. Register -> choose a car -> come and start driving.

Really friendly and professional staff.explained everything in detail. Would highly recommend. Will use this service again. Booking process was very easy to navigate and customer service was excellent.
