I did a lot of research before purchasing this paint because I live in an older house with no cavity walls and had been advised to use a breathable paint. What I didn't initially realise was that many paints marketed for exterior use aren't truly breathable, unlike Emperor.
Although it was around three times more expensive than the usual brands, I decided to give it a try. My friend, who was doing the decorating for me, was amazed by the quality. He described it as a delight to work with — easy to apply, smooth, with a lovely texture and excellent coverage.
The finished result looks fantastic. While it's too early for me to comment on its long-term weatherproof performance, I'm confident it will live up to its claims. Based on my experience so far, I would definitely recommend it.

I spent a lot of time and money (Invested in Scaffold)
preparing my rendered gable end.
I read about the benefits of Emperor Masonry Paint
and was impressed with the claims made as I do not want to be climbing up there again.
The paint is 'gloopy' and I was applying with a roller and brush. After half an hour the paint in the tray was 'skinning' over and was becoming much thicker making it difficult to apply. The outside temperature was about 20c. I found that constant stirring helped while applying both first and second coats.
The project is now completed and I am pleased with the results obviously I purchased the paint to give longevity and only time will tell

We completely understand that preparing a rendered gable end, especially with the added time and financial investment of hiring scaffolding is a major undertaking. It makes total sense that you want a premium product so you never have to climb up there to do it again!
Your feedback regarding the "gloopy" texture and the quick skinning in 20°C heat is incredibly helpful. Because our masonry paint is highly concentrated with advanced hydrophobic and breathable resins (rather than filled out with cheap solvents), it does have a thicker, more full-bodied consistency. On a warm 20°C day, the surface moisture in the tray will evaporate rapidly, causing it to skin over quickly. You did exactly the right thing by constantly stirring it—this is the perfect technique to keep the formula evenly mixed and manageable during a warm-weather application.

This is the best exterior masonry paint I have ever used, fantastic coverage and lovely to use. Packaging include the tub was fantastic and delivery great. Will buy again without question. I did use their paint calculator for smooth render but found I had one full 10lt tub left, but free returns so happy days.

Great paint! Covers really well and goes quite far. Delivery has been great on both occasions. I would have given it a 5 but not a fan of the oval tub. But then I’m an old school decorator .
