Had appointment at hospital transport failed to turn up
Rang them but they didn't know what had happened and couldnt say if they could get me to attend.
Later got message saying that transport was on the way to pick me up from the hospital.
Second time this has happened when they failed to get me to attend followed by message saying collection from hospital to home.
The bookings are made by phone Call to 03303800515
They give me a reference number.
On my returned journey from hospital is made by the hospital department.
The message from emed does not accept or answer
My complaint at all. Perhaps someone could explain. as
It seems like they never happened

Arranged wheelchair transport for my mother from her care home to Coventry University Hospital. Her appointment was 1.30pm. Emed said they could be collecting her from two hours before so we were in the care home reception from 11.30am. Still waiting at 12.45. Rang Emed and was told transport was 10 minutes away. I was concerned because the hospital was 30 minutes away plus we would need to get in and out of taxi and find the eye clinic. Transport arrived just after 1.30 pm while I was on the phone to the hospital who advised my mother would need to make a new appointment as she wouldn't be seen if she was late. My mother has been waiting for some months for this appointment and has been desperate to get the post cataract surgery issues sorted. This missed appointment also puts extra burden on the NHS.

I used emed for the first time on Monday. No pre phone call for pick up as had been arranged with the booking person. I was late for my hospital appointment.
On leaving the hospital I had to wait one hour and twenty five minutes. I had a car just for me fortunately as I can't bend my leg so laid across the seat. Another patient waiting with me and living in a village en-route had emed provide a taxi to get him home! What chaotic organising and pricey. Another private company making a fortune out of the NHS
Update. Today they were going to arrive half an hour after my appointment. So I lost the appointment and there wasn't another for 6 weeks. Next time I will travel by bus!

I were travelling with pre-booked Emed NHS hospital transport. My first appointment for an important fasting MRI scan the crew arrived an hour and a half late. Luckily the hospital were able to accommodate me. I had to wait a 'long time' for transport home and arrived home at 7.45. To add insult to injury I cought covid due to a low immune system whils sat fot hours at the hospital. My next scan the following week for an ulra sound was also pre- booked. I had to chase to see where my transport was because time was now getting on and the hospital I were attending was a good hour and a half away. My transport turned an hour and a half late but this time the hospital were not able to accommodate me and my scan has had to be rebooked for a later date. Emed boast about being a reliable service but they most certainly were not on those two occasions. I have had some pleasant journeys in the past but due to poor planning patients are now being let down.
