Since Babylon got bought my eMed the service has become absolutely terrible. Waiting time for a GP appointment is 3 weeks. I have been waiting to speak to a Perscribing physician for over a week, and my appointment got cancelled at the time of the appointment. Now I have to wait for another week until the next one. An abolute joke. Don't bother using them.

Had a wonderful experience
Very calm and respectful
The quality of this service has dropped substantially since Babylon became eMed. It now takes much longer to get an appointment, the prescription refills in-app don't work well, and clinicians are hours late for appointments. I've been waiting for an hour and 10 minutes now for my prescribing pharmacist to call...
To add insult to injury, I was 7 minutes late for face-to-face appointment I travelled 45 minutes to get to and was told the nurse wouldn't see me because I was late. I had to make another appointment. This may have been understandable if eMed didn't waste so many hours of my life waiting for clinicians to call, but to be given so little leeway from my end on top of this was salt in the wound.
I've been using this service for years and it may be time to move on.
Since EMed took over GPat Hand it takes weeks to get an appointment, it takes about an hour to contact anyone on the 'live chat'. When the service was run by Babylon it took no more than a couple of days to speak to someone/get an appointment.
It feels like NHS patients are treated as second class, EMed seem to be more focused on taking money from people who want to lose weight by having an injection.
Terrible
Additional
Emed cut and pasted the same response as they have to other negative reviews to mine.
On the same day as this automated response was posted I had a phone appt (which I had to wait two weeks for) where I was told I needed a face to face appt. The first appt at a surgery in London I could get will be in one month.
I am also waiting for a letter i was told would be sent 3 weeks ago regarding a prescription post operation - the practice nurse I spoke to when i had my appt said there were no notes in my record. Have tried to book an appointment with an administrator to sort this out - have not found any available.
I checked back through 2022 and 2023 to see how long it took from booking an appointment to the actual appointment and it was between 0 and 3 days.
Emed is a private US health care who are helping run the NHS into the ground - I don't have any issues with the doctors or nurses I have spoken with at any point, but do have an issue with this kind of company being allowed to run NHS services

Lovely nurse and great experience for my ear wax removal appointment. I was able to get an appointment on the day.
call didnt connect properly, rather than trying again they cancelled and the next one available is in 6 days. trying to all customer service and it has said i'll be connected in 1 minute for about 10 minutes now
Wanted a weigh loss medication paid for it then realised it's set me up on a subscription which I don't want. I have spent the last 3 hours trying to contact them to cancel it aswell as sending an email out Sunday night which still has not been replied to.
Less than impressed.
Happily took my money straight away though but completely uncontactable £125.00 gone and no answers
Finally replied and said they would issue a refund 2 weeks later still no refund so had to go through my bank for a charge back.
I have to be on eMed because it's the only way I can access a certain medication in the public sector. Unless you have a similar specific reason, avoid at all costs. I have been with them for years and have had so many horror stories that I don't feel comfortable sharing, but they are most often due to their administrative teams being inefficient to the point of malpractice and the whole system just not working.
EMed, previously Babylon health waste time & money by operating with inefficient processes that put their patients health at risk. Preventing access to repeat prescriptions repeatedly meaning I have to call up every three months for an appointment to request my repeat or for an emergency prescription to be issued. In a time where appointments are in such demand you’ve reduced appointment slots from 10 to 5 minutes, why encourage a waste of appointments for something that can be done digitally? This harms other patients but also means I am frequently missing doses of my medication increasing my risk of flare ups which could become life threatening. It’s a simple thing to fix but I have been dealing with this for over 1.5 years. The staff I have spoke to via email have been rude and dismissive of this repeated issue
Appalling customer service . Unable to cancel online. Chat service not working. Waited 20 minutes to speak to somebody who cannot deal with the request, remove account details or escalate to a senior. You have a terrible habit of never replying to escalations. Avoid!!!!!
I need to book a face-to-face appointment, which I am happy to pay for as I understand it is not part of the free services (what a joke, as this is a routine pregnancy appointment needed at 24 weeks) and there is no way to do so. The online chat never works, online I am unable to book, sent an email and I got an automated reply saying I would have been contacted within 48 hours - this was last week and I still haven't heard from anyone. Terrible system, it used to be much better when it was Babylon.
Edit: eMed has now been trying to take down my review multiple times, saying that it was for the wrong company. It wasn't, it was definitely eMed. Stay away
I ordered and paid for weight loss medication & filled in the medical questionnaire. Someone rang me to discuss this further & i will add an appointment for the 20th was booked but they didn’t ring me until the 21st. I was told I’d be contacted on Monday regarding if they can offer the weight loss medication . This is ridiculous now. I’m a week almost waiting. I got over that but now my patience has ran out! Absolutely ridiculous they take money straight away but won’t send me my medication. They also have a live chat option I have been trying that for the last hour and it keeps saying 1 minute wait time for the last hour! A joke!!! Sort it out EMed
I haven't received my weightloss medication. I paid, filled in their forms did everything they asked and waited. They sent me an email asking for additional information and I replied within the hour. After a couple of days of not hearing back I sent an enquiry through their website, they never replied.
4 days after their first email they emailed again saying I hadn't replied to their email and asked me to reply to the new one so I copy and pasted the previous email and sent it. 2 days later another email saying I still hadn't replied!
I decided to cancel and claim my already paid money back ASAP. I logged onto my account and clicked on 'manage my subscriptions', there's no way to cancel or delete my credit card, only add another one. So I put 'cancel subscription' in to their search bar, you can cancel any time by contacting us. Oh great!
I will try to ring them but considering they ignored my last 4 emails I'm not holding out much hope! But at least I have a nice long paper trail for the bank when I reverse the payment/s.
To add. I have rung them, they don't answer, a recorded message suggests I contact them through the website!
Update: Another email saying I hadn't replied! I have now sent an email to the email address given below, the same one that is ignoring my other emails, hopefully seeing it is something to do with a Trustpilot review will make them answer, although that really isn't good enough. I didn't find the suggestion of ringing them very helpful as my review states they don't answer the phone!
Update 2: I used the online form heading 'cancellation' and got my first ever reply. They have cancelled my subscription and requested my refund. No reply to the email sent about this review though!
Update 3: I have my refund. They never replied to the email about this review. Not sure why they asked me to contact them if they were going to ignore me. Oh well, at least they do refunds and cancellations efficiently. Weird business model.
If you are trans, do not trust them.
I believe that there are Transphobia hidden in the staff.
It was all good. But since My doctor left the company they did not have anyone who's specialized in Trans Health care.
After my Doctor left Im now neglected not like before.
I sent multiple emails and they ignored it.
Before everything was fine.
But now they just don't care. And the service is getting worse.
Even chat support is not working anymore like before.
I did not ask for extra.
I just want a repeat prescription of my Hormones it is essential and now its day 5 without my pills. And I don't know what will happen to my Levels and what should I do since they don't answer me.
I went to pharmacy and requested and they told me 1-3 days. After 3 days I went back. They told me Emeds team never replied. Even for communication with other pharmacists is bad. That might affect your health.
Absolutely gutted that Babylon got bought out - the service with eMed is awful. It is incredibly slow and very poor compared to the brilliant speedy service before. Seems that all the reviews in the UK are the same. Appalling service.
From Babylon to Emed, from good to bad.
I recently had a highly disappointing experiences with Emed (previously Babylon), and I feel compelled to share my frustration in the hopes that it will prompt some much-needed improvements.
Firstly, the main reason I chose an online GP service was the convenience and the expectation of timely consultations. Unfortunately, my experience was the complete opposite. Previously with Babylon I was able to speak to a GP or clinician with a few days, now I’m waiting two or three weeks. This kind of delay is unacceptable, especially for an online service that markets itself on convenience and efficiency.
When I finally did get to speak with a clinician, consultations are rushed, as if they were trying to make up for lost time. This only added to my frustration, as I didn't feel like my health concerns were properly addressed. It was clear that the long wait times were impacting the quality of care provided.
It seems like since Emed took over the service has disintegrated badly and care has bee drastically reduced. The service feels like a mess.
Overall, my experience with Emed are highly disappointing. It is a shame as it was such a good service when it was Babylon. Long wait times, poor communication, and rushed consultations are not what I signed up for. I hope the service takes these issues seriously and makes significant improvements, but based on my experience, I cannot recommend Emed to anyone seeking timely and reliable medical care.
They bought Babylon and since then have made the free NHS service as bad as possible, I suspect this is because they don't want free customers clogging up their books, they would rather we all went private with them or left and went elsewhere...
It takes at least 2 weeks to get an appointment and there is a 50/50 chance it will be cancelled on the day, sometimes this even happens 2 or 3 times in a row making wait times effectively up to 6-8 weeks.
If you want to get in touch with them the emails will bounce back or the in-app live chat feature will just not work as it has seemingly been disabled.
To everyone involved in this company at the top level, shame on you.
Takes two weeks to get a virtual call. Then the clinician doesn’t even turn up and fails to call you. Can’t get through to customer services over the phone either. The delay in waiting for a call from a GP (delayed by a hour) has completely delayed and pushed back my entire afternoon. My particular experience was with Dr Prasheetha Thedchanamoorthy- avoid booking with her. Unacceptable. The service has gone completely down the drain. A few years ago when it was Babylon it was much better and I would get a call with a gp the same day. Now that it’s med - it’s awful.
