I absolutely love them

I absolutely love the ceramics from Egg Back Home! The quality is exceptional, and every piece feels unique and beautifully handmade. The designs are elegant, modern, and full of personality, making every meal feel a little more special. The colors and finishes are stunning, and you can really see the attention to detail in each product.

Besides being beautiful, the pieces are also very durable and practical for everyday use. Packaging was excellent, and everything arrived perfectly protected. It’s a brand that combines style, quality, and authenticity perfectly. I highly recommend Egg Back Home to anyone looking for special ceramics that bring warmth and charm to their home!

The products are of very high quality…

The products are of very high quality and the offer 2x1 makes it much cheaper to have a full set of matching dishes. It's very durable artisanal products, and as it comes from Portugal, it takes up to a week to arrive, but I have ordered 3 times from them and never had an issue.

Alles gut

Ich habe neues Geschirr bestellt. Alle Lieferungen kamen in einer angemessenen Zeit (von Portugal nach Deutschland) und wurden gut verpackt, sodass nichts kaputt war.
Ich liebe das Geschirr, es ist so schön.

Infuriating customer service

Infuriating customer service! My package, which I've paid unusually high shipping for, is stuck in Portugal and hasn't moved in a week. Customer service is probably the most unhelpful I've ever experienced. Would not recommend at all.

Your order was shipped on January 5 and is currently in transit with FedEx. Once a parcel is with the carrier, delivery updates and timelines depend on their network scans and processing (specially when the shipment is processed as an international export, outside the EU, which can follow different handling and transit steps due to customs/import processing) — and unfortunately we can’t control delays that occur during transit.

Buy 1 get 1 free scam

The buy 1 get 1 free offer is nothing less than a a scam. We’ve tried to find any item this offer is working for, to no avail. According to the chat, it is limited to two random items in the shop. This information is nowhere to be found. We couldn’t find a buy 1 get 1 free section either. This already seems so unprofessional and fishy to us that we rather buy our dishes somewhere else.

Our Buy 1 Get 1 Free (BOGO) promotion is real and active, but it applies only to selected products. Eligible products are clearly marked on each product page with the BOGO mention “Buy 1 Get 1 Free” and the message: “ADD 2 OR MORE ITEMS TO CART TO ACTIVATE OFFER!”

This means you must add 2 units of the same eligible item to the cart for the discount to apply (2 for the price of 1).

Many of our regular customers have already used this offer successfully and continue to do so.

Watch your 'free' shipping charges

When I placed this order (11 Dec'25) on-screen message said 'all delivery is free (for orders of my size)'. However when I checked out, I saw a charge of £9 for delivery! Emails querying this sent on 11 Dec and again of 15 Dec remain unanswered. Still awaiting delivery, but would be a nice to have ANY customer service response (and my £9 refunded)by this company!

Not microwave safe as advertised !

I bought a lot from this store - coffee mugs, dinner plates, salad plates, bowls and from their petcare collection. I love their design and was very happy until one of my salad plates shattered in the microwave despite being advertised as “microwave safe”. Only had it for four months ! I contacted the manufacturer but have only been offered a voucher (not including delivery costs) and not a replacement . I’m very disappointed with this offer - as a loyal customer this is sub par from a company that seems to pride itself on quality (and not in compliance with consumer law regulations either!) Only buy if you’re not planning on using in microwave !!

Ich habe vor 13 Tagen eine Bestellung…

Ich habe vor 13 Tagen eine Bestellung bei Egg back home aufgegeben. Die Bestellbestätigung kam schnell per E-Mail und auch eine Werbemail, ein paar Tage später. Seitdem haben ich nichts mehr gehört . Ich habe bereits 3 E-Mails an den Kundenservice geschrieben,sowohl über den Reiter auf der Homepage,als auch von meiner E-Mail Adresse, auf Deutsch und auf Englisch.... Bisher keine Antwort. Ich hab langsam die Hoffnung aufgegeben dass ich meine Bestellung noch erhalten werde....
Nachtrag 5.12.25 meine Bestellung ist endlich angekommen und vor ein paar Tagen hat sich dann auch endlich der Kundenservice gemeldet,dass meine Bestellung abgeschickt wurde. Das Geschirr ist super schön und hochwertig und ich liebe es. Aber die Betreuung durch Kundenservice muss unbedingt verbessert werden oder die Angaben der Versandzeit auf der Homepage erhöht werden,dass die Kunden wissen wielange sie wirklich auf ihre Bestellung warten müssen.

Actively removing critical social commentary from customers

Beware of this dishonest company, upon questioning their integrity on social media over their use of AI, originally by other users and then myself, and catching them in several lies they blocked me and removed my comments.

If only we could post screenshots!

From their account: “l'm not sure where exactly we "stole" anything from, considering we generated 4 Al images based on our own products. So... we're not allowed to create virtual representations of our own ceramics now? That's "stealing"?”

This statement is factually incorrect and an attempt to gaslight users and customers, as to date on their profile there are no AI generated images of their own products, but of other content to supplement. The premise of AI is also that it is trained on stolen work, something we all factually know for some time now.

I also layer pointed out that their own mission statement speaks about sustainability and that the whole brand is built on being handmade which is complete contradiction to the usage of AI which we all also factually know is actively damaging to our planet.

They claim 99% of their content is genuine but it beggars the question of why they need to bother with making 1% with AI. It defies logic and generating AI content of your own products in place of genuine product images is surely damaging to your own brand. Every part of this defies logic.

But I’m more disappointed in the hypocrisy, the lack of accountability and attempt to gaslight multiple users with genuine concerns and criticisms of their use of AI to represent their products and brand, by what I previously thought to be a reputable brand, whom I have purchased from a handful of times over the last years.

Unfortunately I don’t think they are to be trusted anymore. Really a big shame.

The reply is only further proof of the lack of accountability and awareness when there is physical proof on the profile now of their lies. You are a business, you are advertising on social platforms, I am also a customer who spent many hundreds on your products. I did not walk into your home and insult you, I raised my concerns as a customer on your public platform that you yourselves use as advertising. There really will be no talking to some people as is evident here because they are still lying. There was no aggression anyone’s part, but of course the owner had to block and remove the comments so she cannot be proven wrong.

AI is a complex subject and I am not against its use, there are myriad incredible uses for AI but I fail to see the point of generating images of your own products when you already do 99% yourself but you also right now have other generated images of animals and artwork that are not your products that are being used to advertise them.

No one said you plagiarised images, again, people would see this if you didn’t delete the comments.

Shameful. You own inability to understand comments has led to this mess and now you are gaslighting to say there is aggression, this is categorically FALSE. But of course, you deleted the evidence.

Criticism of a business on your public platform by concerned customers should be welcomed by any business but instead you are taking it as a personal attack and removing the evidence of being caught in your lies.

Not in 2025, it’s not good enough to be so deceptive. I have cancelled my current order.

The internet is not a lawless space — and neither is ours. You are absolutely free to share your opinion in your own space, but just like no one walks into your home to lecture you uninvited, the same applies on or own instagram. This is our space.

We responded clearly and honestly: we did not plagiarize anything. The images in question were conceptual AI experiments inspired by our own products — 4 posts out of over 1,000. That’s not deceptive. That’s not illegal. And that’s not worthy of the disproportionate outrage we’ve seen.

You’re entitled to your opinion about AI. It’s a complex topic, and we welcome healthy debate. But what we won’t tolerate is aggression disguised as critique, sarcasm dressed up as moral superiority, or attacks on people behind a screen. Yes — shocking as it may be — we’re real people running this brand. Attacking us on platforms like Trustpilot, where we can’t engage in a fair conversation, says more about your need to be right than about any actual wrongdoing on our part.

If you’re here to have a respectful exchange, great. If not — there are other spaces for that.

Finger weg von diesem Unternehmen

Finger weg! Ich habe bei eiber Sonderaktion Tassen bestellt, anstatt der zugesagten 6 Tassen wurden einfach nur 4 geliefert. Lieferzeitraum 7 Werktage anstatt der versprochenen 1-3 Tage. Kommunikation erst nach 3 Tagen und nur auf Englisc. Keine Bestellbestätigung keine Rechnung. Meines Erachtens, kein seriöses Geschäftsgebahren. Ich werde dort nie mehr bestellen und ein Stern ist zuviel.
Wie man an der Antwort sieht, ist das Unternehmen nicht in der Lage ein Übersetzungsprogramm zu nutzen. Auch scheint nicht mal die Absicht zu bestehen, die fehlenden 2 Tassen nachschicken zu wollen. So funktioniert Kundenorientierung nicht!

1. Delivery Time:
We ship with DHL, and their standard delivery time within Europe is 3 to 4 working days — this is also what we inform our customers. In your case, the parcel took 7 working days, which unfortunately was due to DHL’s internal logistics and not under our control. We understand how frustrating this can be, but please know that the delay was not on our side.

2. Quantity Received:
There was indeed a mistake in the quantity sent, and we sincerely apologize for that. However, the issue was resolved — you received the missing items and were not left with any loss.

3. Order Confirmation and Invoice:
Our system automatically sends the order confirmation to the email address entered at checkout. If you didn’t receive it, it may have ended up in your spam folder or the email may have been entered incorrectly.
Your invoice is available anytime in your customer account on our website — just log in and download it directly.

4. Language of Communication:
We are a Portuguese company — our products are handmade in Portugal by a small local team. We speak Portuguese and, for international service, we also communicate in English. Unfortunately, we don’t speak every language on Earth, nor do we believe any brand should be expected to. We do our best to assist our customers with respect and clarity in the languages we can offer. We hope you understand that this is not a sign of disrespect, but simply a practical limitation.

5. Professionalism and Respect:
We are a serious and fully registered company that works very hard to create, produce, and deliver high-quality handmade ceramics. It’s okay if things didn’t go perfectly — we’re always open to improvement. But questioning our seriousness or integrity is unfair to the people behind this small brand, who are dedicated to doing their best every day.

We’re truly sorry the experience wasn’t perfect, and we hope this message clarifies the situation.

Products are great and of high quality - Top-notch customer service

I'd had my eye on this brand for some time, then I fell for it and I wasn't disappointed. The whole buying experience is top notch: the site is simple and efficient, and so is the ordering process. Delivery was very fast and meticulous. I also had the opportunity to talk to customer service and they were lovely and answered all my questions. Finally, the products are great and of high quality. I recommend them.
