Drouet is fine with no issues
Drouet is fine with no issues. However, the auction I used made no mention of the fact that anything bought would need export authorization from the relevant government ministry (395 euros plus VAT), possible transportation from the auction house to the ministry site 150 km away, transport back to the auction house who wouldn't release the item for shipping without the relevant government clearance. Exercise extreme caution when buying antiques from ITALY if you want them exported.

Italian regulations do indeed impose specific measures for exporting works of art outside Italy.
The Cultural Heritage and Landscape Code (Codice dei beni culturali e del paesaggio) provides that certain cultural property, exceeding a specified value and age threshold, must be declared to the Ministry of Culture. The Ministry then issues the export authorization required to ship the work of art outside Italian territory.
On Drouot.com, Italian auction houses specify these provisions in their general terms and conditions of sale.
The general terms and conditions of sale can be consulted in the auction catalogue and on the lot description page.
In addition, if you reside outside the European Union, it is necessary to file an export declaration with a customs office.

Os serviços de transporte que recomendam estão completamente inflacionados e desproporcionados dos valorres de mercado
Eu sei que são sugestões da Druout mas trazer 2 garrafas da Irlanda para Portugal....entre 150 a 200 euros em duas operadoras...

I liked the auction house platform service and the website provided by Drouot. But is stops there. On many occasions the auction houses would not respond to my emails to increase my bidding limit via Drouot, effectively cutting me out of the auction. In essence, the idea of using Drouot as your one stop shop does not work in practice. You are better off dealing directly with the individual auction houses instead

Drouot.com is just another platform set up to rake in fees from bidders; they have no interest in providing any protection against auction houses selling fake and misleading goods. Bidders beware!! Most of the auction houses are auctioning garbage.

Will not use it again
After very tedious back and forth with multiple parties that held my item, I luckily received it in one piece after paying several fees on top. Packaging was terrible and I am not sure what would have happened if the item was damaged.
I will not use Drouot again as it felt very chaotic at best, possibly even malicious on the side of the auction house.
Communication is horrible, it does not feel organised well and you feel unprotected. Not at all up to ecommerce standards these days. Nobody speaks English. Do not recommend.

Absoluter Betrug
Absoluter Betrug, die angegebene Nummer existiert nicht. Die Adresse gehört zu einer KFZ Werkstatt. Und bei Anfragen über Email wird garnicht reagiert.
Dazu kommt dass die Artikel auf 14 verschiedenen Webseiten die alle gleich aufgebaut aber jeweils in einer anderen Sprache sind auch angeboten werden. Dies kann man unschwer anhand der Seriennummern auf den Artikeln bei diversen Waffen sowie hochwertigen Uhren erkennen.
Ich kann jedem nur raten im internet vorsichtig zu sein und alles genau auf Seriosität zu prüfen, anstatt sich von günstigen Preisen täuschen zu lassen.

Letztendlich doch alles fein
Nach anfänglichen Startschwierigkeiten lief alles ganz gut . Ein sehr komplexes Verkauf ystem, in dem mehrere Auktionshäuser über dieses eine ihre Aktionen abwickeln. Das muss man erst mal durchschauen. Weihnachten hat die Sache sehr verzögert, aber letztendlich ist alles zu meiner Zufriedenheit abgewickelt worden.

Does not respond multiple requests for 4 months.
The platform provides unique opportunities for the sellers and the buyers to buy rare and interesting vintage items. However, I have a dispute with the Seller's Valorum Art from Switzerland on the storage costs. They informed me that the storage fee is lumpsum $25 as part of the purchase email, but now they are asking me to pay $150. Druot fails to reply to my multiple emails requesting their opinion on the dispute resolution. No reason was provided from them. Also, I find them very pro-seller, as if the Seller has any issues, they react immediately. So I cannot receive my Van Cleef and Arpels necklace for months now. Be careful when buying, especially if buying from Valorum Art from Switzerland.
While they are saying in the below response, that any issues are between the auction house and the buyer, they don't wait a minute to raise the auction complaints with the buyers. The other way around does not seem possible. Its not a buyer friendly platform like ebay, for example.

Never buy on Setdart Barcelona again
Never buy on Setdart Barcelona again . They trafic the pictures to sell an item which is very damnaged ( 3 majot cracks ) , and the description only talks about chips . They wait so long to send the item that my insurance is too late to help me . And miraculous they are closed for holiday when I contact them to claim my money back . They know no shame and do nothing to solve the problem . Thieves and cheats

Gambling platform
It is a chaotic marketplace without a management. You are totally on your own when you bid on this platform. They don't help users at all in case there is an issue with an auction house. Every time I interact with an auction house, I feel like I am gambling.
