Discover Books was launched based on the fundamental belief that used books have value and should never go to waste. Prior to our founding, many of our staff worked in the thrift industry where we saw millions of books being sent to landfills each year. With each discarded book, we thought of the imagination, magic, and knowledge lost forever to a garbage heap and we endeavored to find a better way. We think books should achieve their greatest possible purpose: Whether purchased by another reader, donated to help a child acquire the lifelong skill of literacy, or recycled as a new product, it has a story to tell. We let stories live on.

Excellent product and price.
The dictionary was in excellent condition. What I paid was an amazing price for the quality of product I received. I am extremely happy with my purchase. Shipping was very fast as well. I'm very glad I found this site. I will be sure to shop here again and recommend the site to others. I homeschool and this site is an amazing cost saving option.

My order that came yesterday contained 5 books. The envelope was opened large enough for a book to fall out. I don’t know if I’m missing any books because I haven’t received my complete order

Book arrived in very poor condition
Book arrived in very poor condition, not "Good" condition as promised. Damaged and warped from flood, dirt and debris stuck and staining inside, etc., AND they won't do Jack about it! In my considerable experience, Amazon provides much better service.

One book was new and one had been a library and was in excellent condition, better than I expected given my experience with similar vendors who sometimes grade their books higher then they turn out to be. I will definitely use this vendor again!

Correct edition can't be relied upon
A few times when I order books, I don't get the edition I want even thought I use the ISBN to find the book. There has to be a way to ensure you get the edition you want. Not every paperback is the same. Your service just isn't reliable enough to continue to use.
