Very good job, panels and system look neat and tidy and all wiring has been hiden very well and we are already saving almost half our electric bill even in the winter.

Avoid Using This Company
The quoting process was great, they quoted for exactly what I had asked for and in a timely manner and the cost was similar to others.
Since placing the order first week in April 22 and paying my deposit the whole process has been very frustrating. Dates booked have repeatedly been cancelled, often the day before. They appear to be hiding behind the "can't get hold of components" but I have been told they have the items in stock (by several people including the owner) and have booked the work in for a couple of weeks time to them be called the day before to say they are no longer in stock. It is now November and I have had enough of this constant booking me in and then putting me off.
On the positive side the fitter who installed the Solar panels was very conscientious and has done a very nice neat job and was very clean and tidy. What a shame he is being let down by the backroom staff.
I would avoid this company and cannot recommend them.

All seemed ok to start with, now after a few months a problem developed, and like on tv, they have disappeared despite promising a solution previously (data logger fail) their phone is no longer answered.
Initially great… terrible after
Initial installation was great, but after that they’ll ignore you. They said I had an initial 2 year warranty with deege… absolute joke. I’ve emailed several times regards my data logger not working and they don’t bother replying.
When I was buying, they replied every day.
This fault I have could be a quick or cheap fix by replacing the data logger, but I wouldn’t know because deege don’t want to know.
They’ll take your money and run.

Had a great experience with this company. The panels fitted to my house are excellent. From the minute I made an enquiry, the customer service was excellent. They were in constant communication and kept me aware of everything going on. The guys that came to my house to fit the panels were very friendly and very professional. Would recommend

A year later and still great
After having a full system installed by team deege a year ago, I went back to fit another battery and it's safe to say the customer service and install quality is still top notch.
I contacted Deege Solar about getting a quote for my house
I contacted Deege Solar about getting information & costs to have Solar panels installed. Their response was swift. We booked a house visit for the following week. Alfie arrived exactly when they said he would. They asked a lot of questions as to why we wanted to have Solar panels, how much are we currently paying for electricity, and what would our preference be on the aesthetics of how the panels would look on our roof (they are going on my extension so would be in view when siting in the garden). At the end of the visit, I was informed that I would receive the proposal within a few days. After two days we received the quote, it was all very clear. In addition to the price, they was a detailed design of how the panel would look on my roof, we also were shown a saving forecast (in a little over 4 years it would have paid for itself!). I called them for a few questions which were handled in a professional manner. they didn't try to hard sell to me (unlike the other company I was speaking to!!). I booked them in to come and install it. they gave me a date, a week before they were due to install they contacted me to see if it was still ok to come on the specified date, and that no-one in my household had signs of COVID etc. When Mick, Alfie & Mark arrived (again on the exact date specified). they went about their work. Over the three days they completed the work. They were polite (no swearing or anything). upon completion they gave me a tutorial on how the system works. they also shared information about their YouTube channel for more information about my system. a few weeks passed and I received a call from them asking if I had any issues/questions etc. (which again I thought was nice). Overall the end-2-end experience with Deege Solar was fantastic. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Initially everything was fine.
Sales were very clear about my options for panels, inverter and battery and their YouTube videos were very informative and reassuring. I paid a deposit and a date was set for installation. I was then told there were supply issues and the installation was postponed. This was at the height of covid and everything was messed up so quite understandable.
The installation happened in two parts. First an electrician came and installed the cabling, battery and inverter. A day or two later the panels were delivered and left on my drive but the installer failed to arrive. A day later a man arrived to fit the rails and panels.
He found that my roof wasn't quite big enough for all of the panels (initial survey was via Google Earth) and it was arranged with the office to deduct one panel from my bill. I then paid Deege the new outstanding amount.
A few days later I heard a soft clunk from the inverter and I saw a red warning light. I called Deege and they talked me through the menu on the inverter to find the code for the error. The code was ID34 but that wasn't listed as a code in the user manual. The error went away after a few minutes and Scott at Deege said he would contact the manufacturer to investigate further.
A few days later we figured out that ID34 meant overload. When an overload happened the inverter would shut down for a few minutes and I would be pulling power down from the grid again. I spoke to Scott again and he said the manufacturer was still investigating and might roll out a firmware update for the inverter. Summer wound down and the problem seemed to stop.
Until the following summer.
When it got sunny again ID34 came back. The panels add up to 5.7kw and the inverter is a 6kw model so it should be OK but the harder the sun shines the more likely I am to start getting multiple ID34s from around 10am.
This is when things went really downhill with Deege. I would call and explain the problem and I would get a variation of Scott is busy/out of the office but will call you back as soon as he can. He very rarely calls back, when he does he assures me that I am his number one priority for a resolution but then nothing happens.
At some point the inverter did get an update but the only difference I noticed was that the error changed from ID34 to ID34 Overload. There may have been one more update recently as now when ID34 happens the red warning light doesn't come on anymore.
When the system was first installed I did not have a smart meter so could not get paid for excess generation and the supplier I was with did not install smart meters. That supplier went bust and eventually I ended up with Octopus and they installed smart meters for me. I then decided to apply to Octopus so I could get paid for the electricity I was pumping out to the grid. This is when I discovered that I did not have a DNO registration for my system. I contacted Deege and they said it was an oversight on the part of someone who had since left the company. They say that they have put the application in now but it could take up to six months for it to come through.
In conclusion, I have a solar system that works unless it is very sunny. The system is saving me a lot of money, just not as much as it should be saving me as the inverter shuts down so often. It is frustrating to see the battery on full charge while I am paying for power from the grid. Communicating with Deege is beyond frustrating.
Major Concerns.
I have just signed up to have solar panels and battery storage installed. I had to pay almost £4000 deposit which I did by bank transfer. I have had no confirmation or receipt and emails to admin are unanswered. I am left with the extra stress of worrying that the money has gone to the wrong account, or I’m the victim of a scam. If it’s not a scam, it would appear to be a very unprofessional company, who care very little about customer service.
My next step is to contact Which? Legal Services to find out my legal options.
Shocking communications and service after payment

Communications with Deege were fantastic until I handed over all of the money and since then they have been diabolical. I’ve only ever been rung back twice in the timeframe they said they would and it took 6 calls to get another issue sorted! I was going to post this message on Tuesday but they guaranteed someone would ring yesterday to arrange a date, that never happened!
On the 6th July 2022 I heard a ‘pop’ in my loft followed by the whole house’s electrics tripping, my Growatt 6KW inverter had died. Following a number of phone calls I provided the necessary serial number, good job I did as they were going to use the one from one of my batteries!
I thought everything had been sorted and then to my disbelief on Saturday 23rd July a Growatt 3KW inverter was delivered. The following Monday I spoke to Deege who blamed it on Growatt, who they said reckoned it’d be a better fit for my system. After a discussion, I agreed to accept a Growatt 5KW inverter (which is what my DNO had approved, god know why they installed a 6KW) and that they had installers in the area the following week and they would tie it all together. Needless to say this never happened and after phone calls every week I’m no closer to having my inverter replaced.
As a company they like to blame everything on individuals/resources, so far it was the old compliance managers fault, lack of mounting rails (which is why the install never happened in my area) and this week got told the installation teams are on annual leave.
Comprehensively Excellent
7.7kW Growatt system installed July 22nd 2022. 20 x solar panels, PV Grid & AC Coupled Inverters, 6.5 kW Battery.
Our experience with Deege has been exemplary throughout.
During our research, we gained more information and insight into the complexities and practicalities of solar power from the Deege website than anywhere else; it was informative, comprehensive, very well laid out and explained in simple, logical terms, unlike other sources. 10/10.
The subsequent proposals, specifications and quotation were produced in a professional and complete manner and issued by Rod same day. Subsequent points of detail were discussed and resolved immediately by phone. 10/10.
All staff responded to some delays and setbacks resulting from the chaotic broken economic and commercial environment in an honest and practical manner, and, above all, kept us informed of the many potential constraints and alternatives. They also met their commitments and exceeded our expectations by proactive phone calls. Amy in particular did a great job pulling together all the resourcing and logistical strands during the final stages. 10/10.
The roofing team (Ritchie and Dan) arrived on time with all the necessary hardware. In spite of the heat they remained cheerful, friendly and totally competent throughout, managing also to include a very innovative and invisible cabling solution from the panel arrays to the inverter. Very hard and committed workers. 10/10.
The electrician, Nick, was consummately professional, and obviously highly skilled and experienced. He likewise exceeded expectations, particularly by locally sourcing additional trunking etc to route and hide cabling that enabled an outcome of great elegance on our garage wall. He stayed (late) until all immediate queries had been resolved, and a promised firmware/software update has just been implemented remotely. 10/10.

Absolutely would not recommend
Absolutely would not recommend. Deege have gone downhill compared to previous reviews. Sales experience was great. The planner was very knowlegeable about my requirements and the right system for me that was competitively priced at the time. That was where the positives ended. Multiple installation delays, might be considered acceptable due to parts shortages but moving installation last minute when time has been booked off work is not. Engineers turned up with out kit meaning install took 3 visits with 3 different sets of engineers. Quality of installation is not that great.
After sales has been an absolute nightmare. Have also not had any kind of handover to say how it works or apps set up or my system set up on the Solar edge platform, which can only be set up by installers.
Still waiting on MCS cert despite being promised it, and system has been in over a month. DNO application was not submitted before install despite being told it was submitted in January when deposit was paid, so still waiting on that.
Will be requesting a partial chargeback from my credit card for system not being setup on Solar Edge platform, as they have not provided what was stated on the contract.
