Responded immediately to emails and explained everything clearly, will definitely use Cunningtons again.

The solicitor dealing with the buyer literally made this whole experience for the buyer and me a living nightmare! Inability to reach Mr ZAHID NIZAM the Conveyancing solicitor or his manager Mr JASON BRADSHAW made the process unbearable. Unreturned calls, unanswered emails, failing to address crucial details and the pure arrogance of having your move in their hands has made me realise how important it is to find a decent caring law firm that is happy to communicate with you. Avoid this Law Firm. This is not a rant. This is the stress and frustration we were put through for 7 months! Shame on you CUNNINGTONS CROYDON

We started our purchase process with Cunningtons in May 2025 and the experience has been extremely frustrating.

Our seller was very cooperative and had agreed to wait until 31 January 2026 to allow us time to resolve earlier lender issues. By November 2025 we had secured the correct lender and were ready to proceed. We also arranged the required £5,000 UK deposit in good time.

However, this final deposit check was treated as a routine process with no urgency, despite the strict deadline we were working towards. The verification was handled very slowly and updates were only provided once a week (typically on Fridays), which gave the impression that there was no real progress being made.

Because of this lack of prioritisation and delay at such a critical stage, the seller lost confidence, accepted a parallel better offer, and withdrew from our sale.

After waiting from May 2025 to February 2026, losing the property due to avoidable delays at the final step was extremely upsetting. This process cost us time, money, and a lot of patience.

Based on our experience, I would strongly advise others to think carefully before choosing this firm, especially if your transaction is time-sensitive.

My house sale and purchase were handled by the Croydon branch.

Despite withdrawal from my first purchasers late in the transaction the issue was handled professional and with little fuss.

My second buyer/transaction also had a number of delays but again the Croydon office kept the pressure on for completion.
