I really thought this would be more tailored to the individual rather than say you may have a tendency of being allergy to xyz. I thought it was more of a scientific tool.

Only good for ancestry
I liked knowing my ancestry. That was super fun. However, I wanted to know different health data and it was interesting how they told me I was allergic to certain things like cats and I am not. I have never had a problem with cats. There was just stuff in there telling me how I supposedly like to do things a certain and none of them were true.

2.Traits Involve Multiple Genes
Most traits aren’t determined by a single gene. Instead, they are influenced by multiple genes working together. While our reports analyze key markers that science has linked to specific traits, there are still other genes involved that may affect your individual experience.
3.Genes Can Switch On and Off
Throughout our lives, certain genes can become more or less active due to a process called epigenetics. While your DNA sequence remains unchanged, chemical signals in your body can cause some genes to “turn on” or “off,” impacting how they function. This can explain why you may have a gene for a trait (like an allergy) without actually experiencing the symptoms.

I enjoyed most of the reports. I had a couple of surprises and confirmed much that I already suspected. I enjoyed reading the other reports and I really like that my ID is private and not shared. The pre results messages were plenty, concise and sometimes really interesting.
On another note, I did reach out and never heard back about the possibilities of going back on my father's line, not just my mother's line. Maybe I missed the reasoning in one of the emails. Would that be possible?

This is such a rip off!! I know my family’s heritage from the family tree and genealogy. I also done a different dna test years ago with all of my sisters and it was spot on but this one is so far off it’s not even funny. I am SO disappointed! Keep an open mind
Okay...I read negative reactions to Cri Genetics. I say keep an open mind. There has been more mixture of ethnicity throughout the ages and into the present time than many people realize. History is full of examples and especially in the USA, many times people have had to pass as something they were not. Much had to be kept in secret. With DNA we are seeing that absolutely no one is pure anything. Regardless, we should be proud to claim ALL of our ancestors, even if we cannot find out exactly who in our family tree the ethnicities have come from.

Even if you have potential relatives in the system, they may have chosen not to opt in to relative matching or sharing. To respect their privacy, our system won’t show matches unless consent has been given.
