CRC - Car Rental Company Omdömen 

Beware if your Driving License is not over a year old, doesn't matter that you can provide evidence that you have driven for over 5 years, and don't think you'll get the name changed to another family member without paying 2.5 times more than your original booking. They provide insurance that is apparently mandatory, when it's not. Very unfriendly and when travelled 26hrs from Australia they know you have no alternative than to meet their demands.

The Service is amazing the Cars are good and at good prices very simple pick ups and Returns.

After two weeks of waiting they have stated damage to wheel rim. Absolute joke, €221 charged.

Di solito le compagnie di noleggio cercano di venderti la loro assicurazione, ma qui è successo l’impensabile.
Avevo acquistato tramite Booking un’assicurazione con franchigia: in caso di danni, al massimo mi avrebbero trattenuto 1600€, indipendentemente dall’entità del danno.

Eppure, il responsabile CRC al banco ci ha letteralmente minacciati.

“Anche solo per un graffio di un centimetro, io mi impegno a farti pagare tutti i 1600€. Te lo garantisco.”

Non solo: ha anche tentato di giustificarsi tecnicamente, spiegando che anche per un graffio avrebbe dichiarato l’auto inutilizzabile per tre giorni, addebitato i costi del fermo, del lavaggio, del tempo perso, ecc.
Un atteggiamento spocchioso, intimidatorio e scorretto.

Alla fine io e i miei amici ci siamo sentiti obbligati a pagare 232€ in più per la loro assicurazione, completamente inutilmente, pur di evitare questo teatrino e iniziare la vacanza con un minimo di serenità.

Esperienza vergognosa. Mai più con CRC.

Whatever you do, avoid this company like the plague. They are a bunch of crooks, who will continually invent new ways to charge your credit card and steal. They belong in prison.

Bom atendimento

Wir haben das gemietete Auto abgeholt und leider, wie üblich auf vertrauensbasis keine Fotos gemacht. Ich hatte ja schon ein Jahr zuvor ein Auto bei CRC gemietet und es war soweit OK. In diesem Jahr scheint sich die Strategie des Unternehmens CRC geändert zu haben. Mir wurde ein Schaden bei Abgabe des PKWs Kugelschreiberminengrosser Punkt auf der Innenseite der Beifahrertür vorgeworfen den ich definitiv nicht verursacht habe und 400 Euro dafür von der Kaution einbehalten. Sowas muss schon vorher feststehen damit man auch etwas findet. Nach zig auch direkte mails an CRC hat sich dieser nicht als vertrauensvollen Vermieter präsentiert. Ich wurde hier leider abgezockt und kann nur jedem empfehlen bei Abholung das Auto genauestens, auch Innenseiten des lacks zu kontrollieren und Fotos zu machen. Daher werde ich in Zukunft kein Auto mehr bei CRC mieten und kann davor warnen !

Basically, go with anybody but CRC Car Rentals - many of these reviews are fake. They take exhorbitant deposits and then find imaginary scratches and dents and charge you. When we rented our car, they told us there were no scratches but that we should take photos anyway. When we saw the car & walked around it there were dozens of dents and scratches all over it, and we ended up videoing the entire car.

They Intentionally leave you alone with a wet car in a dark garage so you can't see all the scratches & dings everywhere. When we returned they walked around the car & found some supposed scratch on the rim of the car wheel. it was totally fake - they couldn't have told us what was new scratches or already there.

In addition, the tyres were bald, and as we started travelling down the motorway, the car started sliding slightly. This is highly illegal.

Avoid them at any cost.

Oh, and CRC Customer Service Team (what a joke) please don't bother about posting a reply. As I have emailed Rita already, you have 24hrs to refund me or I will pursue you for renting a car with no tread on the tyres - she has the photos. Just remember you asked for it.

EDIT: That's your view, the photos of the car are with the police let's see what they say.

I rented from this company last month for a week. When I returned the car, they claimed the front window was cracked. I didn’t agree with the charge, especially since I took photos showing no damage, but they still charged me €700.

I tried to resolve the issue with them but got nowhere. My advice: stay away from this company. The prices may seem attractive at first, but you could end up paying much more in the end.

Bij aankomst onder druk gezet om extra verzekering van hen te nemen. De full option verzekering die we hadden genomen bij de aanbieder dekt volgens de persoon achter de balie niet alles. Hebben niet toegehapt. Ze bieden dan hun tankservice aan. Bij ons dien je de wagen niet vol terug binnen te brengen. Je stort 92 euro en bij binnenbrengen doen we hem zelf terug vol en storten verschil terug. Tot heden nog steeds wachtende op terugbetaling. We hebben wagen met 4/8 terug binnengebracht. Dus normaal gezien 46 euro zou onze richting terug uitkomen. Al mails gestuurd. 3 maal ticketnummer verkregen maar reactie 0.
Spijtige zaak.

Let bij het boeken op de enorm hoge borg die CRC van je vraagt, namelijk 2800 euro als je niet via hen een verzekering afneemt.

Bij aankomst bleek ons limiet voor de creditcard ingesteld op 2500 euro, dat was niet voldoende. Een tweede creditkaart gebruiken of cash het restant aanvullen mag volgens hun kleine letters niet, het moet volledig op één kaart gereserveerd worden.

Wij stelden voor de volgende dag terug te komen om de deposit alsnog geregeld te krijgen, aangezien het in NL al voor ICS buiten kantoortijd was. CRC gaf aan dat dit geen optie was en zou ons als 'no show' behandelen. Wij zouden dan ons vooraf betaalde huurtarief definitief kwijt zijn en alsnog geen huurauto hebben.

Toen kwam CRC ineens met een voorstel om de huurauto alsnog mee te krijgen, door voor bijna 1000 euro extra toch een gehele gedekte verzekering bij hen af te nemen, bovenop het reeds betaalde huurtarief; dit kwam neer op een verdubbeling van de kosten! Voor dat geld zouden wij dan een upgrade krijgen en hoefden we geen 90 euro extra voor een tweede chauffeur te betalen.

Echter, wij hadden vooraf een Peugeot 3008 of vergelijkbaar model bij CRC besteld. Bij aankomst stond echter een VW Taigo klaar, in mijn beleving is dat een behoorlijke downgrade qua grootte.

Voor die extra bijbetaling zouden we nu in plaats van de VW Taigo een upgrade krijgen naar een Peugeot 308 station of een Nissan Quasqai; volgens mij zijn deze modellen wel vergelijkbaar met de eerder door ons bestelde Peugeot 3008, dus geen sprake van een upgrade.

Wij voelden ons op dat moment onder druk gezet om zo fors bij te moeten betalen en voelden ons bekocht dat een zogenaamde upgrade eigenlijk vergelijkbaar was met onze eerder bestelde huurauto.

Uiteindelijk verlaagden zij dit aanbod naar 750 euro. Gezien het moeizame verloop met de deposits en na een lange reis konden wij niet anders om op hun voorstel in te gaan.

Conclusie, zorg voor voldoende limiet op je creditcard, zo niet, wordt je van alle kanten onder druk gezet door CRC. Nooit meer CRC voor mij.
